++ Here are two new friending memes.

++ In preparation of the new Muppets show, this teaser with Miss Piggy and Nathan Fillion is both hilarious and absolutely perfect. Perhaps this is one of the reasons why they had her and Kermit divorce, so she can shamelessly flirt with the male guests that will be appearing, lol.

++ Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] woodycakes for introducing me to Flesh and Bone, a new upcoming STARZ series. It's a ballet drama, but will be featuring a lot of the darker aspects of the dancing world, including the pressures, the personal hardships and decisions and will definitely be character-driven. Already when I saw it was about ballet and dancing, I was immediately drawn in, but then there's the added layer onto it that I'm intrigued by. I know most people are tired about having everything be "darker and grittier" in order to be seen as interesting or taken seriously, but with dancing, and especially with ballet, it's a subject that isn't necessarily taken to that level (besides with Black Swan) and I'm curious to see which direction this show will take with it. If nothing else, I'll be in this for the dancing aesthetic, naturally. Furthermore, this has one of the actors from Center Stage, who honestly hasn't aged at all.

I spent nearly the entire weekend watching Castle, all three seasons. Nonstop.

If I didn't already love Nathan Fillion, watching this show would have made go all head over heels because he's just too damn adorable for words, I can't even. Richard Castle's relationships on this show is practically my favorite thing, from his daughter to how he interacts with his mother, and of course the never-ending playful USTing with Beckett. I just love the characters on this show, all of them. They're all fantastic. Plus the Firefly and other pop culture references makes me grin, too. Oh, and the episode with explaining "shippers" being a nod to fandom? :D

Nathan Fillion, I love you and everything you choose to be. ♥

Shiny!

CAPT'N TIGHTPANTS AND OUR FAVORITE CYLON!!!

Yeah yeah, I know that Nathan and Tricia know each other, and the story about them going on a blind date many years ago, but still. Seeing them together makes my fangirl heart squee nonetheless. ♥ Now if only Misha Collins would join the party.... ;)

And can I just say that Matt Cohen is the most adorablest adorable person that ever adorabled?
"I often try to tell the fans how unreal it is to even have a fan. I’m a fan of the fans! They leave me starstruck. When a fan looks me in the eye and says “Hey I love what you do” I’m the one that gets beat red, and palms start to sweat. It’s surreal to me that they love and support me so much."
HEARTS IN MY EYES RIGHT NOW. LOVE HIM SFM.

Holy crap, it's the 1st of December already. When did that happen? Boggles the mind how fast this year has been going.

-♠- Worth Fighting For: The WGA strikes continues. While still in negotiation talks, it seems that the proposals the AMPTP have been giving aren't going so great with the WGA, and rightfully so. In a shorthand version, the AMPTP just aren't getting things through their thick skulls and it seems that this may take a while before something is properly settled. In addition to that, 80 staff members from the Late Night with Jay Leno show have been fired due to the strike, leaving all those individuals without work. Needless to say, anyone out there who thinks this isn't a big deal is way wrong; this affects everybody, not only in the business but viewers too. I encourage everyone out there to get the message out and support the writers.

-♠- Sharp As Razors: The official Razor website includes a longer and very spoilerish trailer for the extended and unrated DVD release, which is on the 4th of this month. The website also includes clips from the film, along with a sneak-peek into the fourth and final season.

-♠- So Say We All!: Over on Ron Moore's blog there's additional information regarding the potential rewards for sending pencils to Pencils2MediaMoguls: "Mary McDonnell, Tricia Helfer, Michael Hogan, Jamie Bamber, and Michael Trucco have all agreed to make a personal phone call to fans who win the raffles in their names." This is HUGE for any BSG fan, and also this will come as a positive reward for supporting the strike. Another potential reward for winners is spending time with Aaron Douglas (Chief Tyrol) in Vancouver for a hockey game, and most recently Jamie Bamber will be donating signed and pre-worn towels. Heh, the fangirls squeals can be heard from miles away. Visit Pencils2MediaMoguls.com for more details on how to support the writers and win prizes/rewards in the process.

-♠- Can't Take The Sky: "I, Malcolm" by Nathan Fillion. An exclusive excerpt from Serenity Found, the second essay-book and sister to Finding Serenity.

-♠- The Shape Of Things To Come: Bear McCreary has updated with the full tracklist of the S3 soundtrack, along with the CD coverart. I honestly can't wait to hear it, especially "Battlestar Sonatica" and "All Along The Watchtower" c'mon, like I wasn't the only fan waiting for the full un-interrupted version of that. Also, the coverart for "Razor" has been voted and chosen; my opinion stood that I didn't care which one was picked, because they were all so nicely done, so I'm happy with the choice. Now this makes me want "Razor" to arrive even quicker.

-♠- Our Doctor, The Vicodin Junkie: House Season Four Promo. Yes I'm excited, despite the "WTF?" reaction from last season's finale I'm anticipating this premiere along with the rest of my shows.

-♠- Beware Of The Static: Extended trailer for White Noise 2, starring Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff. This is probably the longest trailer I've seen of it, others were mostly teasers with no explanation other than it was the sequel to the first movie. This has more Nathan featured in it with a little bit of Katee too. I know there'd been iffy reviews for it, but I am a horror movie junkie so even if it isn't that great, I'll watch it anyway. For Nathan and Katee, two gorgeous people on screen together.

Psych 2.06 - Meat Is Murder, But Murder Is Also Murder )

Painkiller Jane 1.17 - Playback )

It seems that Zac Efron is everywhere these days, huh? I can't go to a grocery store or shopping without seeing him on the cover of magazines or on shirts and backpacks. Everyone else may recognize him from the High School Musical franchise and have their own opinions about him, his acting/singing and yaddy-yaddy-yadda, but for me he will always be known as young!Simon from Firefly. Whenever I see him I automatically think "OMG it's young!Simon". Wouldn't it be funny if Troy suddenly cursed in Chinese in HSM? Okay, just me then.

Speaking of which, I spotted Nathan Fillion on One Life To Live last night on SoapNet. He was tipsy and singing and dancing. Hee.

I seriously love Nathan Fillion. He recently appeared on the Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson, which can be viewed in its entirety here, and he really is just a funny and charming man. I loved how the audience was whooting and cheering in delight for him, and his genuine smile back. Yay for the Browncoat love. Hilarious interview, as it's always with him (hee at his comment about being surrounded by hot men). Glad to see he's getting the recognition he deserves. As I've said before, I love my Captain.

There's many things to say about certain fandoms, but I'll save that until later. I have much to write about, but so little time right now to do all of that. I'll just say this shorthandedly: Painkiller Jane rocks, Heroes still owns my soul, and Supernatural makes me wibble. That is all.

12th of August, in which I'm suspecting and hoping everyone had a wonderful time this passed week, and wishing all the best for the rest of the weekend and the future to come. Stay shiny, my wonderful peeps!

-♠- Serenity 2: Battlestar Galactica: Keeping tabs on the happenings and lowdowns on the backstage talk, it's appears that Nathan Fillion's new movie, White Noise: The Light, already has some promotional pictures for us, and is possibly due to be released on January 5th of 2007. Nathan will be starring alongside Katee Sackhoff, who most people will know her as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on Battlestar Galactica. Hmmm, I sense a cracktastic crossover!

-♠- SciFi Switcheroo: Stargate:SG1 is reaching it's 200th episode, and I think this article and the pictures featured should speak for itself. They will be spoofing off from other fantasy/scifi shows --- yes, including Firefly. I definitely am not one for SG:SG1, however I will be watching this episode along with Morena Baccarin's appearances.

-♠- "I Don't Know What That Means...": Brand new promotional pictures of Season Two of Bones! Nothing considered spoilerish as they are promotional photos, showing the cast in various poses and positions (including a brand new character, whom I do not know of quite yet). I especially like the shots of them in the morgue, with Brennan holding the human skull. Very nice, indeed. Gosh, they're all just too pretty. Thankfully, FOX is airing all their fall shows earlier than other networks, which is ultimately cool. More the merrier, I say!

-♠- Still Flying (In The Polls): Firefly was deemed the No.1 slot for Best TV Show Opening, however with the comments below there are some people who disagree with this choice and are actually bashing the "Ballad of Serenity". Clearly they misunderstand the emotional message behind the lyrics, which speaks many levels about the show in general. It's quite unfortunate, or perhaps they just haven't heard Michelle Dockrey's filk version, handsomely named "Mal's Song" because in Joss's own words, the song is really about Mal and his journey. Blah to them, is all.

-♠- Pulse...Has No Pulse: After its official release this last Friday, it seems that the American remade adaptation based off of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Pulse (which stars Kristen Bell and Ian Somerhalder) isn't doing very well in reviews, both critic and non-critic alike. This is quite unsurprising, to tell the truth, since most Western remakes of foreign horror films seem to have dumbed down on the psychological terror that are in the originals; which sometimes some go for the "Plot? What Plot?" scenario. Whether or not you liked the newer Western-version, I do suggest renting/buying the original Japanese film, Pulse (Kairo); it may or may not make a difference, but reading reviews from other viewers the majority of American audiences aren't even aware that there was a Japanese film first, and that's a real shame.

Nathan Fillion turns 35 today, as it is our favoritest Captain of Serenity's birthday! Happy birthday, Capt'n Sir Tightpants Devilishly Handsome! For Fillion-fans alike, and anyone that adores the ever-so-lovely Captain Malcolm Reynolds, you can wish him a happy birthday by writing a personal happy birthday message, courtesy of the Nathan Fillion fansite. Although there isn't a guarantee that he'll see it immediately, Nathan is known for searching on the Internet and seeing what fans are discussing (as well as Joss Whedon and other Firefly cast members), so there will be a chance he will see it very, very soon. *g*

Yeah. Nathan so deserves his own postage. Because he rules, like whoa.
