++ First image of Jason Momoa as Aquaman. I highly approve. (◕ω◕✿)

++ Voting for the Empire Awards has begun. More than anything I'm really hoping for Rosamund Pike (Gone Girl) and Richard Armitage (The Hobbit) to get recognition for their amazing performances in their respective films. They both deserve it, dammit, and it would make up for the blatant Oscar snubs.

++ Spoilers for the Sleepy Hollow finale. )

++ This really short-film which features the Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers as adults, starring James van Der Beek and Katee Sackhoff. It's only fourteen minutes and clearly meant for the Internet, but damn if it doesn't make me wish it actually existed as a full-length feature film. Really makes me nostalgic for my classic MMPR. Plus, Katee as Kimberly/Pink Ranger? More of that, please. It also makes me really want her to play Captain Marvel even more than I already did, but that's a given, so.

++ The news that any more sequels to The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo is unlikely makes me incredibly sad. I wanted the entire trilogy to be made, since they were discussing it in the behind the scenes that yeah, they were planning this to become a trilogy. They already have a script written and everything, but Sony are being buttheads about it and it's been some time since the first film was released (something I wished they had locked down though considering the plans for more, since other franchises have done similarly when there's a possibility for more), everyone else is doing other things, so the likelihood of them returning for the next two films probably won't happen unless a miracle occurs for it to be so. Which sucks so much. Rooney Mara as Lisbeth Salander was perfection and I was really hoping to see more of her portrayal of the character in future films. :/

++ Tumblr made a massive layout update change that none are too happy about, and with good reason. Essentially, it was a decision for a new business revenue to make money off of becoming a video-based platform by means of becoming a YouTube competitor, which they then said that "there was no reason not to" do this, despite fucking everything up for their users including expanding the dashboard thus ruining the quality of graphics and gifs (blurrier and pixelated, even on individual blogs), and adding higher dimensions that the site cannot support. Why they did this without beta-testing first, let alone thinking that this was a good idea to begin with rather than fixing the other issues the site already had prior, is beyond me. And so far there hasn't been any further acknowledgments or announcements of these issues from the staff (and I don't think there ever will be). However there is an upside as others, thankfully, have come up with loophole solutions to return back to the old dimensions.

If you use Tumblr, please install this using the Stylish extension to restore the width of your dashboard, and this or this to fix your own and other people's blogs. I also know the Xkit guy is trying to fix things for Xkit extension users as well, it will just take some time.

++ On a more positive note, with all the exciting Marvel announcements, I think the one that is the most anticipated is Captain Marvel getting her own solo movie that hopefully, if all goes well, gets a future franchise. It's sad that there's no announcement for a future Black Widow solo movie (because come on after being featured in four Marvel films she deserves to be front and center of her own story), but at least there's going to be a female superhero movie and that is at least a step in the right direction. Personally, I still want Katee Sackhoff to play Carol Danvers, she is pretty much my number one choice. Of course, I'm a fan so naturally I would be biased in saying this role would be perfect for her.

Katee Sackhoff may be in talks with Marvel Studios for a future role, possibly as Ms. Marvel as many rumors have begun to circulate about. Keyword being in talks, meaning there is no guarantee on anything actually happening, and it all remains a mystery at this point anyway, but I seriously want this to become a reality. With her exposure in the new Riddick film, I definitely think she has the chops to be big screen material. Never mind that having such cred as being in Battlestar Galactica, it just seems kind of perfect, imo. Besides, we do need more women superhero movies, which apparently Marvel Studios is inclined to agree, and if our very own Starbuck could get such a role as Carol Danvers/Ms. Marvel? Then that, to me, is very exciting indeed. Of course it all depends on how well the script is and how the character is being written along with her availability (as she's already been confirmed for another movie filming this fall), and I know I shouldn't get my hopes too high, but I'd be lying if I said that I didn't want this to happen for reals.

On a sidenote, her her photoshoot for Geek Magazine is made of all kinds of win.

Ustream was being a bitch (yet again) and they didn't live-stream tonight like they'd planned because of whatever connection/bandwidth issues it was having, but promised to do one proper tomorrow. I find it cute that they keep apologizing even though we know it's not their fault! They're so presh, even when threatening to go Six and Starbuck on everything. ♥ I still can't believe tomorrow will be their last day of live-streaming! I'll miss their epic videos and adorableness, and Mother Mary and their Veev with function water. And bad weather stories and how bitchy-yet-adorable Katee gets when she is tired and both of them cursing like sailors, and not to mention T-SHIRT TIIIIIMMMMEEE! ;p

I swear, I'm addicted to them. It's pretty much what I look forward to every night since you don't know what to expect. I'll miss them dearly.

Also for bonus, Tricia goes Gaga. I approve. <3333

Discard the post I made earlier, I was in a mood and kind of bitchy. Long story short: people can be such assholes online, but I'm over it.

But exciting (to me anyway) news, TRICIA AND KATEE REPLIED TO MY COMMENT I WROTE TO THEM ON THEIR LIVE U-STREAM TONIGHT!!

It starts around 40:00min where Tricia reads my comment, which I wrote: "I've always wanted to ride motorcycles but some peopled laughed at me because I'm tiny and girlie and that they're too 'rough' for me. You two are truly role models, love you!" (I had to write it out twice, the chat board goes by so fast so that's why they have trouble reading all the comments), and this spawned them in giving a very nice speech about women being able to do whatever they wanted that makes them happy despite all the stereotypes. Which is what makes me love them even more. ♥

And what I wrote is absolutely true, I wasn't just writing it out so they could comment on it. For the longest time I've always had been interested in wanting to ride motorcycles but kind of got some flack from others who scoffed at me for thinking I could. I mean not maliciously, but rather as a side-comment like "yeah sure you could" kind of way. I know that women ride motorcycles, but because I'm small and tiny and definitely very girlie I got the impression that I would be laughed at. I don't know much about bikes in general but I would love to learn, I would love to test it out and see if it's something I would like doing or not, you know?

So thank you Tricia and Katee, you are true role models and inspirations and I love you even more than I have before. ♥ ♥ ♥

Acting Outlaws: The LA La Ride on Ustream.

Tricia Helfer and Katee Sackhoff have been doing their motorcycle ride from Los Angeles to Louisiana as part of their charity, Acting Outlaws, which is to help raise awareness of what is happening in our environment due to the oil spill in the Gulf. They are also in association with the Gulf Restoration Network which all donated money will go directly to their cause through Acting Outlaws. Every night since the 21st of October they've been doing live online video chats via Ustream which includes what they did that day during their ride, giving stories and details that often lead to much hilarity, answering fans through the live chat box feed, and just being all around awesome and adorable.

Just when I think I couldn't love them more. Seriously, they are the best. Not only doing this for charity, but we're seeing them being absolutely dorky and not in a celebrity setting either. It's kind of refreshing, and oddly they are even more beautiful without all the makeup and star-treatment. ♥ And really, I don't watch reality television however this is one reality show I would totally watch religiously, not even gonna lie. So seriously folks, if you want to see the adorableness of these two, with their Veev and function water and hearing about the "literally" drinking game going on, and even if you want to find someway to help their cause, go watch their videos stay tuned since they are live-streaming tonight at 7:00pm Pacific time!

(note: originally it had been 8:30 Pacific time, however recently they've been getting on a bit earlier, keep an eye on @actingoutlaws on Twitter for updates)

Here's their first episode the rest are adorable too, however I was particularly amused and laughing until I cried at Katee's hilarious "dawg" story and them realizing their were an hour early for their video-stream! Believe me, you will laugh until you cry too. XD

IN SHORT, SUPPORT ACTING OUTLAWS AND THE GULF RESTORATION NETWORK WITH THESE LOVELY LADIES AND THEM BEING UTTERLY ADORABLE! THEY'LL BRING THE VEEV! ♥

I've never seen an episode of Nip/Tuck in my life, but this episode is particularly special because of two three particular reasons....

Oh Mish Mish, the things I do for you... )

I'm going to bed tonight incredibly happy, thankyouverymuchMisha.

And let me just say, seeing an extended look into Watchmen and promos for Dollhouse and TSCC with watching mah Mish Mish? YES PLZ!

1. Firstly, you guys are amazingly awesome. Seriously. *huggles flist*

2. I encourage everyone to actively vote for the 2007 SpikeTV Scream Awards. It has a wide range of categories for the horror, fantasy, scifi and comics. The trouble I found though is the competing nominees for certain categories, like Battlestar Galactica, Doctor Who and Heroes up against each other for Best TV Show, makes it very difficult for me to pick which one. The upside though? You can vote as many times as you want. Pretty sweet deal, I think. Oh, and before I forget, Zachary Quinto has been nominated for Vilest Villain. If anything, please vote for the our favorite serial killer because he damned well deserves this recognition if not I'll skullcap your ass.

3. Bionic Woman 1.04 - 'Faceoff' Episode Review )

4. I saw another short "Razor" preview, this time featuring the Pegasus crew walking down a corridor and a voiceover of them speaking about their job and survival. Unfortunately the preview was taken off YouTube for violation. Frakkers. Oh well, makes me anticipate November even more now.

House M.D. 4.01 - Alone )

Bionic Woman 1.01 - Second Chances )

Slight pimping here: Heroes Friending Meme and Battlestar Galactica Friending Meme.

Clearly insomnia isn't good for me, because I've been reading people's reaction/reviews for the premiere of Heroes and the wild speculations concerning storylines and future episodes are outstanding and, strangely, are making sense to me. I've also been on the HoYay threads on TWoP and trust me, the crackiness that ensues there is just amazing. I mean, really. Of course I'm just overly giddy about the particular Momo storyline that I just can't stop grinning every single time I think about it. Insane? You betcha. Damn you Kring for making your audience think about things, and endorsing the HoYayness of your show! Which you obviously do intentionally!

-♠- The Shape Of Things To Come: Bear McCreary has updated with the full tracklist of the S3 soundtrack, along with the CD coverart. I honestly can't wait to hear it, especially "Battlestar Sonatica" and "All Along The Watchtower" c'mon, like I wasn't the only fan waiting for the full un-interrupted version of that. Also, the coverart for "Razor" has been voted and chosen; my opinion stood that I didn't care which one was picked, because they were all so nicely done, so I'm happy with the choice. Now this makes me want "Razor" to arrive even quicker.

-♠- Our Doctor, The Vicodin Junkie: House Season Four Promo. Yes I'm excited, despite the "WTF?" reaction from last season's finale I'm anticipating this premiere along with the rest of my shows.

-♠- Beware Of The Static: Extended trailer for White Noise 2, starring Nathan Fillion and Katee Sackhoff. This is probably the longest trailer I've seen of it, others were mostly teasers with no explanation other than it was the sequel to the first movie. This has more Nathan featured in it with a little bit of Katee too. I know there'd been iffy reviews for it, but I am a horror movie junkie so even if it isn't that great, I'll watch it anyway. For Nathan and Katee, two gorgeous people on screen together.
