Fanvid Friday: Yellowjackets, Part Deux

My Comments: With the announcement that the fourth season is to be its last, I ended up watching some Yellowjackets fanvids that were made recently. This one in particular caught my eye because of its use of a very somber cover of "Like A Prayer" by Madonna which gives the eerie and devastating atmosphere of the show itself. It does feature scenes spanning across all three seasons, though not entirely spoilery unless you look very hard. I like the way the vidder chose to focus on the wilderness and the girls, and the horrors they went through and what they transformed into because of it. It's one of the many different parts of what makes this show, flaws and all, so captivating.

I've got to finish season 3. The no eyes man freaked me out and I paused watching but I should wrap it up.

I do hope we get an explanation for what's happened to them. At least with a hard ending date the showrunners know they don't have to stretch it out and hopefully have some answers in mind.

At the very least I am curious about how the wilderness storyline is going to get properly concluded. I'll be honest the adult timeline stuff I'm less confident they'll know how to wrap that all up, but we know that both timelines have to converge in some way. I don't even mind if it's left ambiguous (much preferred IMO, left for us to decipher whether it's psychological or mystical or a combination of both), but they need to have some kind of plan on how to wrap up the entire story.

One hopes that there was a plan and knowing the next season is the last gives them time to tie it all up. If there was no plan then it becomes yet another mystery box show that makes me grumpy lol.

I care most about the wilderness stuff so if they can wrap that up I'd be okay.
