How do you eliminate someone that doesn't die? )

Overall, it was nicely done finale to a series. While not exactly a phenomenal, groundbreaking show it could've been it was still entertaining to watch, much thanks to the attention-grabbing screentime of Kristanna Loken, and certainly kept my SciFi Friday watching nights worthwhile. I just hope there's a DVD in the works.

[livejournal.com profile] starcrossed has a Fall TV Friending Meme. Go ye forth, my darlings.

Painkiller Jane 1.21 - Reflections )

Y'know, last night I watched "Unexpected" with my sister, mainly for the Sylar and Mohinder "OMG roadtrip yay!" scenes, and every single time there were a moment between them and then it'd cut to a different scene we'd say "...and then they had sex" or "...and then they made out". Also, pausing the scenes just to stare and comment at the prettiness, but that's a given. Yes, this is what DVD watching has resorted to, ladies and gentlemen. Damn you Heroes for having such a gorgeous cast! *shakes fist* I have yet to listen to all the commentaries, but I'm thinking this evening I'll treat myself to just that. I need some cheering up from this weekend, anyhow.

Oh, and George Lopez? Hi-freaking-larious show. Almost as funny as The Cosby Show or Hannah Montana, and believe me I'll fall over laughing until my sides hurt with any one of them.

Painkiller Jane 1.21 - The Beast of Bolnar )

The more previews I see for Bionic Woman, the more I can't wait until it premieres this fall. Does it make me look guilty if I admitted it was primarily for seeing Katee Sackhoff being sexy and evil?

Painkiller Jane 1.19 - What Lies Beneath )

Ladies and gentlemen, I am now a proud owner of Heroes season one DVD. Now if you'll excuse me, I think I'll go off and watch some episodes and play around with the extra goodies....

Psych 2.07 - If You're So Smart, Then Why Are You Dead? )

Painkiller Jane 1.18 - Jane 113 )

Here's something interesting, Kevin Smith is going to be directing an episode of Battlestar Galactica. Huh, he seems to be getting lots of directing nods from various places recently. Now if only we could get Joss Whedon into the picture....

Also, what's with the Hannah Montana lawsuit squabble? Seriously, it's ridiculous. I find it interesting that this Buddy Sheffield guy was willing to wait two freaking years until claiming that Disney "stole" their original idea, and after Hannah Montana gained success and popularity. First of all, I haven't even heard of his show and secondly, it's only when something is more successful that the other decides to sue. Oh, what lengths people will do for money. *shakes head*

Psych 2.06 - Meat Is Murder, But Murder Is Also Murder )

Painkiller Jane 1.17 - Playback )

It seems that Zac Efron is everywhere these days, huh? I can't go to a grocery store or shopping without seeing him on the cover of magazines or on shirts and backpacks. Everyone else may recognize him from the High School Musical franchise and have their own opinions about him, his acting/singing and yaddy-yaddy-yadda, but for me he will always be known as young!Simon from Firefly. Whenever I see him I automatically think "OMG it's young!Simon". Wouldn't it be funny if Troy suddenly cursed in Chinese in HSM? Okay, just me then.

Speaking of which, I spotted Nathan Fillion on One Life To Live last night on SoapNet. He was tipsy and singing and dancing. Hee.

Painkiller Jane gets sacked by SciFi.

In a way I can understand this decision. It's not exactly phenomenal on the level of other sci-fi shows, like Battlestar or Heroes, the promotion for it was minimal which led to a small fanbase, therefore leading to poor ratings. But even while it wasn't up to par with other top-notch shows I still thought it was a good series, had it started out as strongly as it could've been I think it would've drawn more viewers. Ah well, as sad as I am it'll be ending thankfully SciFi isn't like FOX and pulling it altogether, they are finishing up the season until the finale, which is a good call.

In other depressing news, Jesse Spencer and Jennifer Morrison have called off their engagement. Aww, I really liked them together, they were so adorable and would've made pretty babies. Ah well, it seems that they're willing to be still be friends and continue to work on House together, which is all good. Although this'll definitely change perspective on the whole Chase/Cameron relationship within the show, and naturally ridiculous wank ensues because of this news. Because in fandom or at least in the delusional minds of some, Real People = Fictional Characters.

Anyway, wishing both Jennifer and Jesse the best and waiting for what's to come in the upcoming season of House, which is not getting here fast enough!

After some stressful, exhausting things that happened within last forty-eight hours, it's time to talk fandom.

Eureka 2.04 - Games People Play )

Psych 2.04 - Zero To Murder in Sixty Seconds )

Painkiller Jane 1.16 - Thanks for the Memories )

Tonight is a new Suite Life of Zack and Cody, which I also haven't been keeping track of the newer ones. Of course knowing Disney Channel they rerun episodes ad nauseam, so it shouldn't be too difficult to catchup (although unlike my other fandoms, missing several episodes doesn't spoil you in being behind).

Also, Daniel Radcliffe in springtime for Hilter in Germany! My Boy Jack. I think both he and Admiral Adama will have to battle it out for the best PORNstache, like seriously.

Painkiller Jane 1.15 - The Healer )

Oh, and I can't wait for Bionic Woman, all because evil!Starbuck. Yep.

Painkiller Jane 1.14 - The Amazing Howie )

I also found it vey ironic that this episode dealt with the topic of magic on the date which the last Harry Potter book was to be released. Coincidence much?
