Day 20 - Favorite kiss

I have a few very specific kisses that make me all gooey and gushy and fluttery inside, not gonna lie.

I am here for the UST and the kissage, m'kay? )

Masterlist of days here.

More Booth/Brennan cuteness via third season with the Couples Counseling videos (embedding was disabled, boo). It's odd that I only just found out about these, and being a Bones fan after all. Haha, I'm slow.

Know what I really want to see? I want to see more cute interactions between Dean and Castiel particularly in this manner, like the missing scenes from "Free To Be You And Me". I want outtakes of them being in the Impala together, perhaps with Dean listening to his music and Castiel questioning about it, looking absolutely puzzled. Or more of them going on their detective prowl with Castiel being so clueless as to human behavior, especially with staring too long and invading people's mainly Dean's personal space. Or, you know, some other cute things like them eating at a restaurant, or Dean trying to explain pop culture references while Castiel still remains clueless. They really should film those. I want it to be like webisodes of these things or something. It would be cute, with the quirkiness and Castiel being so adorable and Dean with his mental facepalming, it'd be fun.

I know, that's why there's fanfiction. But based on what we've seen of this season so far, it wouldn't be completely out of the realm of possibilities for it to happen. I mean, fanservice, hello. Kripke is all about it this season.

++ New Caprica SciFi promo, which has unseen exclusive clips from the series that not the pilot movie. I honestly am excited, I loved the pilot, love the cast, and I can't wait to see what's in store for what's to come.

++ Review for Dollhouse 2.02 - Instinct )

I also want to talk about ratings for Dollhouse. From all the "save Dollhouse" campaigns and people praising it, getting others to watch it and even making petitions and critics waiting for the second season to premiere, the ratings have been lower than last season. What the hell, people? Where the fuck are you, after all this fighting for it to be renewed and for FOX not do be dickheads about it, and the ratings are fucking dropping? Fuck that shit. I'm also hearing that TSCC fans are so bitter about their show being canceled that they are purposefully not supporting Dollhouse. I mean, okay, I loved TSCC too and I'm sad it's gone, but get the fuck over your childish bullshit and stop being so butthurt. Jesus Christ on a cracker, this is ridiculous.

Needless to say, the ratings system still blows. [livejournal.com profile] blank_dolls has provided ways of supporting and helping boost up ratings for the show, so please spread this information around.

++ I've been catching up on Bones recently, just had a marathon of season four and my God, can this show be any cuter? Booth/Brennan are so much love, their bantering and are totally opposite yet perfect for each other. But it's one of those shows where if the two main characters get together romantically then it's the end of the show, hence the UST between them. And I love David Boreanaz as Booth...I think way better than Angel, to be honest. Because Booth isn't some brooding vampire with a soul, and he can be goofy as well as badass. Hee.

Things have been kind of slow lately, but that doesn't mean I haven't been productive. In the midst of avoiding spoilers and awaiting the return of my fandoms, some sooner than others, I've been catching up on certain shows and getting addicted to others. The first obviously being FNL, then there's Bones S3 which I do admit I didn't watch fully while it aired, but now I have the time to.

Stepping away from the Heroes squee that's been taking over my entries lately, more of my fandoms are returning. Bones and House are returning tonight, though I might just watch the latter since I'm not entirely caught up with Bones quite yet. Also I kind of want to see how the process of picking a new team will turn out, especially we know the Ducklings are still going to be around. Should be very interesting to watch as he chooses his new recruits and if they can handle him and his constant pill-popping insanity. I really want to watch Gossip Girl and I'm possibly the only person left who hasn't seen the pilot episode. I saw the preview and am intrigued, so it might become my guilty pleasure viewing. Heh.

Still watching Unfair at the moment though, and loving every minute of it.

Also, could Jessica Biel become Wonder Woman? This is mainly for the all-star Justice League upcoming picture, but if Warner Bros. decides with Biel she might just be Wonder Woman in the feature film. Y'know, I may like Jessica Biel better than most, but I cannot see her in such a role. I stand firmly in the ground while waving my Morena Baccarin for Wonder Woman flag. If Joss was still in the WW project I have no doubt he would've picked an awesome Wonder Woman and story to tell. I'm curious as how the project will play out and if this casting bit is true or not, depending on accuracy of sources really.

I have this urge to go shopping. Holiday shopping, and I don't know why.

Labor Day Weekend. I'm wishing everyone who celebrates it, and even those you do not, a wonderful and safe extended weekend of happiness and relaxation. Due to some periods of not updating lately, caused by the exhaustion of schoolwork overloads, here's another edition of the latest fandom news.

-♠- Queen C. Returns: Here's an exclusive and lengthy interview with Charisma Carpenter, in where she discusses more thoroughly about her new ABC Family movie Relative Chaos alongside BtVS co-star Nicholas Brendon, some non-spoilery things about Veronica Mars, her reactions to her favorite Angel episodes and plenty more in between. This is probably my favorite interview with her to date. Charisma just sounds so easily down-to-earth and very classy with her answers; such a lovely woman, she is. Also remember: Relative Chaos premieres on ABC Family this Monday, September 4th! Be sure to watch it for the reuniting of Cordelia and Xander Charisma and Nicholas!

-♠- Joss Speaks, As Spoken By Morena: Morena Baccarin presents Joss's acceptance speech when Serenity won the Hugo Award for Best Dramatic Presentation. First notice how amazingly stunning Morena is (which is a given, naturally), and secondly hear the hilarity and genius of Morena speaking the masterful Jossisms filling the speech.

-♠- Stealthy Boreanaz In A Spiffy Suit: Going along with lovely interviews by beautiful and talented people, David Boreanaz talks more about Bones and what's possibly to come this new season. Obviously, there are spoilers especially about the characterizations of Booth and Brennan and some of the storylines; nothing gigantic is proposed or revealed, though if you're a spoilerphobe for this show you'd rather stay clear. Part 2 of the interview will be announced shortly, as the end of the article suggests, so I'll keep an eye out for that.

-♠- Fifth Years Begins: 24 new high-quality photos from the set of OotP. Better quality than others that have been leaked, and clearer shots of Tonks, McGonagall, Hagrid, Draco, and others.

12th of August, in which I'm suspecting and hoping everyone had a wonderful time this passed week, and wishing all the best for the rest of the weekend and the future to come. Stay shiny, my wonderful peeps!

-♠- Serenity 2: Battlestar Galactica: Keeping tabs on the happenings and lowdowns on the backstage talk, it's appears that Nathan Fillion's new movie, White Noise: The Light, already has some promotional pictures for us, and is possibly due to be released on January 5th of 2007. Nathan will be starring alongside Katee Sackhoff, who most people will know her as Kara "Starbuck" Thrace on Battlestar Galactica. Hmmm, I sense a cracktastic crossover!

-♠- SciFi Switcheroo: Stargate:SG1 is reaching it's 200th episode, and I think this article and the pictures featured should speak for itself. They will be spoofing off from other fantasy/scifi shows --- yes, including Firefly. I definitely am not one for SG:SG1, however I will be watching this episode along with Morena Baccarin's appearances.

-♠- "I Don't Know What That Means...": Brand new promotional pictures of Season Two of Bones! Nothing considered spoilerish as they are promotional photos, showing the cast in various poses and positions (including a brand new character, whom I do not know of quite yet). I especially like the shots of them in the morgue, with Brennan holding the human skull. Very nice, indeed. Gosh, they're all just too pretty. Thankfully, FOX is airing all their fall shows earlier than other networks, which is ultimately cool. More the merrier, I say!

-♠- Still Flying (In The Polls): Firefly was deemed the No.1 slot for Best TV Show Opening, however with the comments below there are some people who disagree with this choice and are actually bashing the "Ballad of Serenity". Clearly they misunderstand the emotional message behind the lyrics, which speaks many levels about the show in general. It's quite unfortunate, or perhaps they just haven't heard Michelle Dockrey's filk version, handsomely named "Mal's Song" because in Joss's own words, the song is really about Mal and his journey. Blah to them, is all.

-♠- Pulse...Has No Pulse: After its official release this last Friday, it seems that the American remade adaptation based off of Kiyoshi Kurosawa's Pulse (which stars Kristen Bell and Ian Somerhalder) isn't doing very well in reviews, both critic and non-critic alike. This is quite unsurprising, to tell the truth, since most Western remakes of foreign horror films seem to have dumbed down on the psychological terror that are in the originals; which sometimes some go for the "Plot? What Plot?" scenario. Whether or not you liked the newer Western-version, I do suggest renting/buying the original Japanese film, Pulse (Kairo); it may or may not make a difference, but reading reviews from other viewers the majority of American audiences aren't even aware that there was a Japanese film first, and that's a real shame.

1. For the passed couple of days I've been having a Bones marathon, watching all the episodes in high-quality. Just to refresh my addiction to this show, and to get ready for the new season which should be starting this upcoming fall schedule (and hopefully it won't clash with all my other fandoms). It's really a fascinating show, the weekly mysteries and the character chemistry and developments, and I just love Brennan and her straightforward manner and intelligence despite how socially inept she may be. Not to mention the incredibly handsome David Boreanaz playing Booth, sarcastic and fun with great chemistry between him and Brennan. This show equals so much love on many different levels. I will be posting reviews starting from the pilot episode, possibly before the second season starts; if not, I'll be overlapping written reviews from newer and older episodes. The more the merrier, I say. Hee.

2. Thank goodness the weather is cooling down, though gradually, since it's becoming more tolerable to stand outside without massive heat waves. Some days it's under 100o, while other days it rises again. It's getting ridiculous, and there's been reported heat-related deaths all over California. Plus, the State Faire is arriving and if the heat does tend to rise, it'll be completely dangerous to consider even stepping outside. But thankfully, from the reports it seems to be gradually ceasing. Which is good.

3. Lately I've been testing the water for another new show that just premiered on Lifetime: Angela's Eyes. Spoilers for the first two episodes ) So, my opinion about this show in general? It's interesting, though it seems there's no moderation on what is revealed --- which I think too much as been revealed about the character and her problems than there should've been especially for the first two episodes. Hell, even for the first episode. But it's still worth looking into. I'll make my final judgement after a few more episodes and where this all leads.

Now, I shall return to my Bones marathon! Yays. I think I'll have a Supernatural marathon after this.

+ Fannish Fandom Shiny: Basically, I'm having three hours straight of fandom-watching goodness. Bones, Veronica Mars, and The Evidence (in which I thank the lovely [livejournal.com profile] carlyinrome for reminding me to watch out for Carly Pope's appearance). Here are rather fannish thoughts on them:

Bones 1.18 - The Man with the Bone )

Veronica Mars 2.17 - Plan B )

+ California Weather Shiny: So apparently, according to the calender, it's springtime. However here, it still feels like winter (or late autumn). Yesterday it was downpouring almost all day, and today some showers but mostly cloudy and mild. Though supposedly, after tomorrow, it's going to be raining nonstop for ten days. Welcome to California, where the weather and climate is unpredictable, especially for Californians that have lived all their lives in the area. Still, it's shiny because I finally get to use this umbrella I've been meaning to show off (because it's so freaking cool!)

+ River Tam Shiny!: Summer Glau's new project, Mammoth, will be premiering on April 22nd on the SciFi Channel. Because I just adore Summer (and her ass-kicking ballet-fu skills), I found this shiny and this will be her second featured film since Serenity. Dude, just check out the gallery with her in it. She looks absolutely amazing and grown-up! Hee!
