++ I've come to realize that I've only ever liked the first season of Stranger Things. It was a fresh new show that had a nice mixture of 80s references and nostalgia, having that 80s horror/scifi mood and tone, the story was intriguing and I liked how all the pieces came together in the end. But after that, I don't know, the show kind of lost its charm imho, or that it bought into its own hype, or was overhyped by everyone else. idk, I'm not saying it's a bad show, I'm just saying that, for me, I enjoyed the first season more than the rest of it.

++ Apparently Gossip Girl is getting rebooted, in a way, by the original creators of the show. And that's...certainly a choice. I watched only, like, the first three seasons of that show and the first season is probably the only good season out of the entire thing. And how the series ended has always been remembered as the worst thing ever. So, I don't understand the need for this, outside of it contributing to the whole reboot/spin-off culture we live in now.

++ When it comes to shows that I have been revisiting, outside of Ocean Girl which was a nice trip down memory lane, I randomly decided to do a sporadic rewatch of Pretty Little Liars, just skipping around to watch certain episodes in certain seasons. I had briefly forgotten how enjoyable the show was in the beginning, before it got so convoluted and cluttered with ridiculous "twists" that didn't really matter in the end. I still maintain that the show should have been cut in half though, because there are so many subplots and storylines that were only there to be red-herrings and went absolutely nowhere, and were completely forgotten about by the next episode, not to mention all the retconning and continuity errors that occurred. It could have easily been a nice self-contained three-to-four season show without all the misdirection and failed promises to the audience. Also, upon rewatching, the dialogue could also be incredibly cringey, like attempting to be witty with one-liners but never quite landing correctly, obviously written by people who don't know how teenagers speak or communicate with each other. But underneath all that ridiculous mess, I have to admit it was entertaining for what it was and had potential of being a fascinating teen drama/mystery. Had, y'know, they actually had a plan from the start instead of making it up as they went along, which I think definitely hurt the show the longer it went on.

Speaking of, I haven't yet watched Pretty Little Liars: The Perfectionists, which is the spin-off from the show, despite my love for Mona and Alison. I'm kind of putting it off for now. Also, unpopular opinion, but I'm still bitter that Ravenswood was cancelled after only one season. I was never in the PLL fandom so I was shocked to discover that many hated it. I thought it was really good, and it had potential of just being its own thing instead of a direct spin-off, even though I liked Caleb's involvement and his story intertwining with everything. There was only one downside that I understood why some fans got mad at, which I wasn't happy with it either, but I felt like that could have been rectified rather quickly once things got figured out. But yeah, I'm disappointed that the show was just forgotten about and nothing was ever resolved. I was intrigued and curious about that story, about that town, the characters. It had a more supernatural/horror element that I liked, and I wanted more, dammit.

This fucking pisses me off to no end.

I don't really watch the show anymore, only keep tabs on what current ~drama is happening, and the show has gotten to levels of ridiculous at this point. However this? The fact that they are defending abusive behavior is downright sickening and disgusting on so many levels. If not the delusions of the writers for glorifying this, the Chuck-defenders are even worse for stanning and woobifying him while blaming Blair for everything that went wrong in the relationship. Yes, because it's always her fault, never his right? It's always the girl in the relationship who gets the blame for everything, even if he is selling her out to his rapist uncle for a fucking hotel and nearly tried to rape her in the most recent episode? Are you serious right now?

No. Just, no. Fuck that bullshit. >:|

Anyone who doesn't see this as blatant abuse should kindly go fuck themselves with a chainsaw.

I can't believe I actually used to like them together. -__- Blair deserves better, someone who actually respects her as a person rather than as property. Chuck...deserves to be killed off in the more horrible manner possible. He's an irredeemable bastard and the fact that they're trying to defend his actions? Sickens me so much, I can't even.

Gossip Girl: The Blair Waldorf and Dan Humphrey Show (aka the only relevant thing left about the show anymore) )

It's funny when certain shows where I end up debating on watching episodes or not have something that draws my attention back in. Which is their intention in the first place, gain back more viewers, but they can't just give us something and then take it away because that's just gonna dwindle those gained numbers all away again. Just saying. When you have horrible writing but do something good for once, keep it up and don't fall back into the horrible routine again. That's what fucks things up.

So yeah, with this? They have a beautiful thing going here, and I say again I hope they stay on the Dawson's Creek route and stick with it since everyone has been charmed by how well-done the Dan/Blair relationship has been going.

There's that Heroes friending meme going around, which I welcome all new friends I met there! It's awesome that there's more Mohinder-lovers out there in fandom. We should all stick together, sharing the Momo love, yo. Anyway, hello all new peoples!

Tonight, all new GOSSIP GIRL, OMG! By the way, if y'all haven't seen the OMFG viral commercials which critics say are the "raunchiest" promos ever (since they drop the f-bomb or whatever), then you're missing out. Yes, it's mainly for promotional reasons since there isn't that much sex in the show, but I don't care. They're freaking hilarious and kind of awesome that they even went there. Hee! Can't wait because of my girl, Blair! I WANTS MOAR BLAIR, KTHX. Also, brand new Supernatural this Thursday! My fandoms are returning, yay! We have to wait until September for Heroes, but that's okay. I'd rather have my fandoms spread out like this so I don't have to worry about catching up with them all each week.

I've been reading the reports and seeing the videos posted from the Bear McCreary concert and, oh man, do I wish I could've gone (it was sold out anyway). I mean, just to witness James Callis singing would've been awesome and the music from BSG is simply amazing that it would be a crime to NOT go see a live performance. Srsly.

By the way, regarding my personal health, I am doing very better. Tried a different medicine than I have been, and it's working rather effectively. So, whee.

Firstly, I want to thank all that wished me well the other day. It meant so much to me, since I was feeling all coughy, achey and miserable. I am feeling much better now, not entirely 100% but nevertheless am recovering from this week of misery. Which also means I can EAT REAL FOOD and get out of the house after being couped up.

Due to my recent fanmix kick I've been thinking about doing a EPIC FANDOM MIX, generally meaning a fanmix that has more than ten songs, maybe fifteen or twenty, like a real soundtrack. For the ones I've done so far I've only had under ten songs, which isn't bad and doesn't make one mix lesser than another for having fewer songs. But for some reason I feel like I need to do an EPIC MIX. I want to do one for another fandom that isn't Supernatural even though I'm already thinking of a S3 SPN mix, as I will do more fanmixes that are of all my fandoms, it's just the matter of figuring out what it'll be and how I'll put it together. Again, I am picky about the songs I choose for a particular mix. All I know is somewhere in the future there will be an EPIC FANMIX for any one of my fandoms, with more fanmixes on the way of course.

So there was a rumored piece of news that Mischa Barton might be joining the cast of Gossip Girl. Well, Mischa turned down the offered role, which thank goodness she did. I simply cannot stand her acting, and honestly it would be kind of typecasting in that genre of a show (and some have criticized for being a ripoff of The OC which, WTF?) I just hope they find an actress (little-known or getting-to-be-known) suitable enough for the role.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if there's a newsletter for Gossip Girl?

I also encourage others the watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, if you haven't been watching already. It definitely needs more recognition in the online fandom, plus it's made of awesome and everyone should be watching. I'm also plugging it because this upcoming Monday is the season finale of its shortened mid-season and I seriously want to see a second season just as long as it doesn't interfere with my Heroes watching this fall, m'kays TPTB?

1. In case anyone's been living underneath a rock, writers are going on strike. While I have my own opinions about this, I have nothing else to contribute about this topic that hasn't already been said by others. Though apparently this is going to affect many networks and shows, including The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. Even Heroes: Origins has been declared indefinitely shelved due to this (although according the sources, the ratings are also partially to blame, something I am upset about) -- also this strike might be prepping for an early Heroes season finale. I do hope this strike is short-lived and a compromised will be settled soon, for obvious reasons that our shows don't get snubbed. Otherwise we're going to have to live with rerunning episodes and the dreaded reality TV until that time comes.

2. Autumn is finally here. It's getting colder and already the leaves are turning brown/red/orange and falling from the trees. Oh, and it's already freaking November! We've had a thunder-storm warning a couple of days ago, and while we haven't had really rainy-weather it's been really chilly outside. But the best part? I get these catalogues that are just tempting me with their Christmas sales. Yeah, I know, I'm a Christmas freak. I love the holiday season, so sue me.

3. I am now addicted to Gossip Girl. I love Blair, Leighton Meester is absolutely gorgeous. Blake Lively is great as Serena and I love Serena/Blair's friendship. Yep, I love this show and it's dramarama, it's is my guiltest pleasure.

Stepping away from the Heroes squee that's been taking over my entries lately, more of my fandoms are returning. Bones and House are returning tonight, though I might just watch the latter since I'm not entirely caught up with Bones quite yet. Also I kind of want to see how the process of picking a new team will turn out, especially we know the Ducklings are still going to be around. Should be very interesting to watch as he chooses his new recruits and if they can handle him and his constant pill-popping insanity. I really want to watch Gossip Girl and I'm possibly the only person left who hasn't seen the pilot episode. I saw the preview and am intrigued, so it might become my guilty pleasure viewing. Heh.

Still watching Unfair at the moment though, and loving every minute of it.

Also, could Jessica Biel become Wonder Woman? This is mainly for the all-star Justice League upcoming picture, but if Warner Bros. decides with Biel she might just be Wonder Woman in the feature film. Y'know, I may like Jessica Biel better than most, but I cannot see her in such a role. I stand firmly in the ground while waving my Morena Baccarin for Wonder Woman flag. If Joss was still in the WW project I have no doubt he would've picked an awesome Wonder Woman and story to tell. I'm curious as how the project will play out and if this casting bit is true or not, depending on accuracy of sources really.

I have this urge to go shopping. Holiday shopping, and I don't know why.
