++ One of the complications of completing a fanmix, I find, is despite all the gazillions of songs in my music storage, it's hard to find the right set of songs to finalize the project. It's always a challenge for me, more than the coverart. To find the right set of music to fit the mood of what I'm going for, it can be pretty distressing going through every single music folder I have on my hard drive and try not to reuse certain songs I've done or has been done before ad nauseum.

++ I didn't know who she was before this, but damn Daul Kim just became someone I truly admire for her fierce comeback response to the Netizens on her own blog no less. NETIZENS JUST GOT TOLD BY A MODEL, WHUT NAO BIATCHES! (note: link kinda NSFW, unless one is offended by boobies)

++ There's giddiness on teh Internets. Reports from the Vancouver Con (still keeping with the non-spoilery though, folks), SUPERNATURAL STARTS UP IN 10 DAYS OMGOSH OMGOSH, as does Glee next week too! Idk how we'll survive this torment!!! D:

++ And....I have nothing else to say atm. Random drive-by post in the early morning is random.

I've been having the Olympics in the background as I'm doing other stuff, half-watching. There are some things I'll watch with interest while others not so much, and despite all the noise and controversy surrounding the Olympics being held in China and other related topics, I am enjoying the aspect of the games and seeing who wins and so forth. And if I miss something, I can always look at recaps. It's all good.

Also, the California State Fair opened yesterday, and I'm aching to go. It's tradition, I always go every year.

I've also caught one of the many Terminator: TSCC S2 promo and HOLY CRAP it looks amazing. Especially ( slightish spoilers for the main plot ) I'm actually wary of how it'll do with it being against Heroes, if it's against it at all. I have no idea about timeslots as those can be tricky especially for hit shows like these two, though the premiere for TSCC is on Sept. 8th which is good.

Getting back into something I paused at for a while, due to lacking in finishing and ideas, my fanmixing! I've been having crazy crack ideas for crossover fanmixes but I'm not sure how I'm planning on doing that. Knowing how I organize and structure my fanmixes, I can be pretty anal when it comes to how it's done. I also want to try this ficmix thing, because I think it's a creative way of storytelling as it has something more of substance to give than just random songs. How that'll happen or when it'll be finished and posted, I have no idea. I do have regular fanmixes that have been on queue for a while so I'll do those first, with the ficmixes and crossovers possibly for later. Again, I don't know how later, but it'll happen. Definitely.

And my GOD it's hot outside. California is not a great place to be when it's summer and this hot, because we have such dry weather. It's also where we have both polar opposites; we either are too hot and dry with threatening of fires, or it's raining nonstop and threatening of possible floods. It's insane.

Firstly, I want to thank all that wished me well the other day. It meant so much to me, since I was feeling all coughy, achey and miserable. I am feeling much better now, not entirely 100% but nevertheless am recovering from this week of misery. Which also means I can EAT REAL FOOD and get out of the house after being couped up.

Due to my recent fanmix kick I've been thinking about doing a EPIC FANDOM MIX, generally meaning a fanmix that has more than ten songs, maybe fifteen or twenty, like a real soundtrack. For the ones I've done so far I've only had under ten songs, which isn't bad and doesn't make one mix lesser than another for having fewer songs. But for some reason I feel like I need to do an EPIC MIX. I want to do one for another fandom that isn't Supernatural even though I'm already thinking of a S3 SPN mix, as I will do more fanmixes that are of all my fandoms, it's just the matter of figuring out what it'll be and how I'll put it together. Again, I am picky about the songs I choose for a particular mix. All I know is somewhere in the future there will be an EPIC FANMIX for any one of my fandoms, with more fanmixes on the way of course.

So there was a rumored piece of news that Mischa Barton might be joining the cast of Gossip Girl. Well, Mischa turned down the offered role, which thank goodness she did. I simply cannot stand her acting, and honestly it would be kind of typecasting in that genre of a show (and some have criticized for being a ripoff of The OC which, WTF?) I just hope they find an actress (little-known or getting-to-be-known) suitable enough for the role.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if there's a newsletter for Gossip Girl?

I also encourage others the watch Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, if you haven't been watching already. It definitely needs more recognition in the online fandom, plus it's made of awesome and everyone should be watching. I'm also plugging it because this upcoming Monday is the season finale of its shortened mid-season and I seriously want to see a second season just as long as it doesn't interfere with my Heroes watching this fall, m'kays TPTB?
