Now, since horror is among my favorite genres, I had to think really long about this because as someone who has watched plenty of horror movies that I love and consider my favorite it's extremely difficult to choose only five. So, I kinda sorta modified my answer where I give categories.

It is hard to pick favorites out of horror movies in particular since there are so many different types. Love that you included Stigmata! I just rewatched that somewhat recently. I have a weird attraction to priests and Gabriel Byrne in Stigmata was undoubtedly part of that awakening LOL. Him and Elias Koteas in The Prophecy.

I love Stigmata, I was obsessed with that movie when it came out, same with the soundtrack which I played constantly. It was just so much a vibe. And yeah, the attractive priest thing was an element to it, and I liked that they played with that by teasing the Frankie and Father Kiernan pairing.

Yeah I could ship it lol. I loved the colorful 90s outfits and blowup furniture she had. The 90s were such a time.

I loved Frankie's entire aesthetic. Her wardrobe and accessories and everything in her apartment was so bright and vibrant and full of life, it was such a good introduction to her from the moment we see her. Every time I rewatch it I'm like, "I want this. I want this exact kind of bold interior she has."

I really need to watch Stigmata again. I remember being underwhelmed by it the first time around, but so many of my horror-loving friends RAVE about it, maybe I missed something?

You could try watching it again to see if you're perspective has changed, but if not then the movie might not be for you. And that's okay!
