More Legend of the Seeker news: from this post here gives details about how to contact STARZ, since it seems the more people expressing their demands about wanting the show the more probable it'll become a surefire deal. Still not getting my hopes up just yet, but from the sound of things this definitely looks promising especially from the report the poster gave about talking to someone from the network there was so optimism there. *still crossing fingers*

In other news, M. Night Shyamalan continues to be a douchebag. Also, this is the first I've heard of him possibly having been close to directing the Harry Potter movies. I shudder to imagine how that would have turned out...

I still haven't read any spoilers whatsoever and I'd like to keep it that way so please don't tell me anything, but judging from people's reactions to what has been released I think I might take a break from Supernatural for a while? I don't know. I've just not been incredibly enthusiastic about anything with the sixth season, the fact that they even have a sixth season leaves a bitter taste in my mouth. This is what I dreaded would happen, actually. I want to be reassured that this is just an over-exaggeration, that it's not as bad as it seems to be, but I can't help but feel I'm going to be in disappointment and rage with whatever is being planned for it, and mostly because of Sera Gamble but that's another rant altogether. They really should have ended it properly with the Apocalypse, because right now I'm just kind of over the Sam and Dean melodramatics. I'd take an angel mythology spin-off over hearing the same-old Winchester angsty manpain anyday, to be brutally honest with you.

I'm not leaving fandom or anything, this is just how I'm feeling lately. It might change, it might not, only time will tell. I'm still sticking around, especially in the Dean/Castiel and Castiel/Misha Collins parts of fandom because, how can I not? I love you guys, sfm. ♥

This is half the reason why I've been going to other fandoms more recently, to kind of get my mind away from possible trainwreckage and onto new shiny toys. Which, btw, himhilien? Totally am downloading all of Avatar: The Last Airbender right now. I planned on doing that anyway since I am really liking the series, though since we no longer have OnDemand I can no longer see the random bubble trivia pop-ups. So I has a sad. :(

And in other OTHER news, water continues to be wet. I think the only movie of his I've liked was The Sixth Sense, mostly because he said he got the idea from Are You Afraid of The Dark and I loved that show in general and that episode in particular.

I have liked a few of M. Night's other movies, but he really just hasn't been as good with his stuff since The Sixth Sense, which is the strongest out of all his movies. He of course continues to show off how egotistical he is.

Honestly, from the Kripke interview I read the other day, I believe he is just as responsible for the failtastic things that are being let out about S6. I'm seriously considering just watching certain episodes and certain storylines.

I haven't read that interview (because of spoilers) but yeah, judging from the changes made in the latter half of the fifth season how horrible the finale was, this is what happens when you don't have a solid plan about what's gonna happen post-apocalyptic storyline. Kripke really should have stopped at season five as he'd planned and made better arrangements about how to resolve the Apocalypse in a more epic manner than the fail that occurred, instead of giving into the prospect of more seasons.

I'm going to do the same thing, I think. :/

I read some vague spoilers about Supernatural, it was nothing that I didn't alreay guess. I haven't seen anything more than that so I would imagine that's what the shenanigans are over lol.

From his latest project, it kinda proves he doesn't really listen to the original workings of anything and tries to make his own "twist" to things, only poorly. But I highly doubt Rowling would have allowed that to happen, considering she's very much part of the decision-process of the movies. He would have dropped out once she started fixing things about what he planned on doing with the movies, heh.

I'm sort of assuming the worst. After the fail that happened last season I'm not having the highest of hopes for anything at this point.

i don't know...i'm pretty interested in Mary's family and in the origin of monsters and creatures so it could be pretty awesome.

fandom promiscuity is the way to go, imo. if one fandom or canon is making you bitchface you can take a little vacay and cool off, enjoying another.

It's lucky that we have J.K. Rowling who pretty much has a lot of input in what comes out from her series, from the movies to the theme park. I don't think she would have allowed M. Night twenty feet of her creation. He apparently likes things his way of adaptations and has zero regard for the original material, just look at what he did with the Airbender movie.

It could be awesome, but I'm not holding my breath. I just have very little faith in the writers due to what happened in the fifth season resolve, or lack thereof, of the Apocalypse and everything else they didn't do justice.

Yeah, I can rant about something until I'm blue in the face, but quite frankly I'd rather spend my energy getting acquainted with something else and squeeing about it. Right now I've acquired several new fandoms and they're all just awesome and new and shiny.

I have such conflicting feelings about S6. I am mostly spoiler free, but I keep hearing little things, some of which horrify me and others of which get me excited. So I might just have to go glut myself on spoilers just to *know*. Or I guess I could wait.

I know right? It wasn't until the Airbender fail that I really started to see him in his ~true colors~ and how utterly arrogant he is. Like, every single interview he acts like his stuff is the shit and everyone that disagrees or even states legitimate concerns (the whitewashing of the main cast, for example) just don't "get him" and he avoids talking about it.

I'm sure JK Rowling would have bitchstared him down if he considered taking Harry Potter into his own bastardized adaptation. She would have Avada Kedavra'd his ass.

I really don't want to read anything because as much as I want to be reassured, I don't want to run across something that's gonna make me want to bash something. I want to know, but then I don't want to know. I'm mostly indifferent at the moment but I'm a spoilerphobe so, I'd rather just wait it out and see if the spoilers are going to be less rage-inducing based on what I know some people are feeling about them.

S6 of Supernatural, soap dramas with monsters of the week. Some people seem happy about it. I can't decide whether to be happy or dreading it or both. They should just make a movie instead to resolve all the issues and banish the horror that was the S5 finale.

I've been watching Avatar: TLA here and there lately. Right now, they have it on a marathon to supposedly promote the upcoming movie. I watch the cartoon and think, 'Whyyyy?' at Shyamalan.

I honestly think it's a step backwards from where we were heading, because didn't Kripke say he wanted to show to end on a high note? The apocalyptic arc certainly was the best route to take to end the show with all the plots and storylines wrapped up nicely. But instead, they extended it to more seasons with more pointless monster shit. We're over that stuff, show. Why beat the dead horse? I don't get it, and it's exactly what I was afraid of because there were some individuals in fandom that were bitching about the angels/apocalypse. I feel like they're listening to the bad influences of fandom and letting them dictate the show. That might not be what is happening, but it certainly feels like it, esp with how the last several episodes of S5 were executed and that sucktastic finale.

I totally agree about the movie idea. That's a better way to add more of this than having yet another filler season. Like, what's the point? other than more seasons getting more money, etc

Shyamalan just didn't care about the original material, and it shows. He doesn't even understand all the griping about what he did, whether it was from the storytelling or the blatant racism. Way to ruin a perfectly amazing show, dude.

God, I'm so over the Winchester manpain. Yes, some people thrive on that but honestly? If I wanted to have repetitive angst between brothers and their issues I would watch an endless soap opera, which I feel like Supernatural has turned into because they keep repeating the same shit over and over again. Sam has anger issues, Dean is emotionally damaged, they are codependent, etc. Heard it all before, just resolve it and move on ffs.

I'm not happy with the new showrunner at all, mostly because I have huge issues with how she views the show and her writing/direction. DNW.

I just don't want this to turn into another Heroes, where it used to be a show I loved until it hit rock bottom that I couldn't stomach seeing it going down that trainwrecking road it headed towards until it had to be canceled before embarrassing itself further. I fear that's what's going to happen here, especially since many fans I've seen aren't pleased with whatever has been announced with the new season.

Hi, I'm sort of catching up with posts I haven't commented on because of stupid RL things. But yes, I can definitely see where you're coming from. I haven't been terribly excited about SPN - the show or the fandom - recently, either, and have actually noticed that people in general seem very apathetic about the coming season.

I'm glad you're (more or less) sticking around for D/C and Castiel, though. (Nice and sensible people, this fandom needs them!!!) <- I'm saying Castiel, rather than Castiel & Misha, because they aren't really the same thing, are they? I mean, I don't know much about the latter part of fandom, and aren't terrible interested in it either (er, sorry?), but I'll stick with Cas to the bitter end. <3 But this, of course, is beside the point, so - yes, I'll stop rambling.

I know absolutely nothing in what they're planning, but I don't hold much faith since they lost one of the few best writers on the show that I actually trusted in handling episodes/characters/the story with care. :(
