Haven 3.02 - 'Stay' Episode Review )

Warehouse 13 4.10 - 'We All Fall Down' Episode Review )

Revenge 2.01 - 'Destiny' Episode Review )

Shows are returning for the fall season, which means there's going to be loads to catch up on and updating with thoughts and reviews.

The only new show this season that I am interested in is Elementary, and I'll make a separate post about that later. But with everything else, it's mostly shows that are returning from summer break into their new seasons. Doctor Who is on break until their Christmas special, and WH13 just finished theirs and will come back next year in April, which is seven months from now. And aside from the current ones I've already been reviewing, there are my other fandoms that I've fallen behind on that I need to catch up to their new seasons. So yeah, already a handful of shows I am watching right now, and not everything is back yet.

++ Sarah Michelle Gellar's Ringer has been officially ordered a full season. \O/ Rightfully so, since the show has finally found its footing in the most recent episodes it deserves to have an entire season so we can see what happens next.

++ Additionally, Haven gets a third season!

++ For all Revenge fans out there, there is a new community: [livejournal.com profile] revenge_tv.

++ Tricia Helfer lands a leading role for a TNT pilot, Scent of the Missing. Apparently we will be seeing her with a canine partner, and quite frankly my entire process reading this was: TRICIA! PUPPY! TRICIA WITH A PUPPY ON MY SCREEN! OVARIES GO S'PLODE! Besides, this role sounds intriguing and something I'm sure Tricia loved hearing about/auditioning for, being a fierce animal-lover that she is. ♥

++ ATTN: Lust For Love is an independent movie that will be created this December by are lovely Whedon peeps, Fran Kranz, Dichen Lachman, and Maurissa Tancharoen (with the possibility of Enver Gjokaj and Felicia Day), and they need our help to fund the film. It would be really awesome to see this film be the best it can be with such an amazing cast, so please, help in anyway and get the word out.

++ Selena Gomez unleashes her inner Nicki Minaj in this hilariously awesome EMA promo. I find chola!Selena rather hot, I mean seriously. Gurl got some swag goin' on....

Just saw the second preview for Haven S2. Score! I just wish it wasn't so far away....

And for all you Warehouse 13 fans, there was an announcement recently that the character of H.G. Wells is going to get her own spin-off. This has me excited, but also a little hesitant.

Spin-offs are generally a hit-or-miss, and this network isn't known for keeping spin-offs for very long anymore anyway. Also, when this was first announced I found myself wondering how in the world they were gonna do this, because quite frankly I would like to see more H.G. Wells in WH13, particularly after what happened last season and her relationship with Myka and how that was gonna be resolved. However, thinking it over, I think they're gonna go directly from the beginning of her story, retelling it from her eyes which hopefully would lead us to seeing another reappearance on WH13. Judging from the description we're gonna see her involvement with Warehouse 12, her experiments which will include lots and lots of steampunk, which has me excited. My wish for this spin-off, however, is to see more evidence of her flexible sexuality, given how it was revealed in canon that she's bisexual. More of this, please. ^_^

I just need my feel-good shows back. After all the angsting and anger and defeat that has arisen from fandom lately, I just need my happy summer shows to bring me back my sanity.

It seems like Supernatural was renewed for a seventh season.

Meh, not unsurprising, however I'm not that excited or enthusiastic to be honest.

This season has been incredibly underwhelming and enraging for the most part, for reasons I've already expressed ad nausem. Show really needs to get their shit back together in order to impress me if they want a successful seventh season. I'd take Sera Gamble stepping down or being fired from showrunner position to be the first indicator of the show going in the right direction, please. I'd also take Kripke back in a heartbeat if that means no more shittiness that she's done, or Edlund if he's willing for the job. And better writers, as well. Just, a whole goddamn makeover would be nice. No more trainwrecks like it has been this entire season.

In other fandom news:

Yesterday Joss Whedon started filming The Avengers.

Plus, the Dr. Horrible's Sing-Along Blog sequel is becoming a reality! Having it be three years since the first one came out, immediately becoming a hit sensation, they've become constructing songs for the second one. Of course this probably won't get started until after The Avengers gets finished, but still. More Dr. Horrible and more Joss Whedony goodness makes me happy, so yay!

The Guild is also shooting its fifth season.

Haven S2 teaser trailer! Very brief, but goddamn that freaky-looking clown....O_o

And finally, DEATHLY HALLOWS, PART 2 TRAILER PREMIERES TOMOROW!!!! \O/\O/\O/ MY FANGIRL HEART WILL SWELL WITH HAPPINESS AND MY EYES FILLED WITH EPIC TEARS.

Looks like I didn't really miss much regarding Supernatural. Figures. However, I am getting psyched up for 6.15 in case people haven't read my previous post. ^__^

I spent the other day rewatching Haven, the entire first season, and it reminded me just how frakking good the show is. Started out mysterious but kind of lighthearted for the most part, but ended on a darker, mostly serious business where shit got real and it makes me anticipate the second season that'll be airing this summer. It makes me really happy that the show was picked up for another season instead of being canned as the network now seems to love doing to their newer shows. I just hope that it stays this way because I really like Haven and the characters and the mysteries involved. It's one of those rare gems you find that nobody else knows about, and that you want more people watching because you love it that much.

Speaking of Syfy, while I'm still bitter at them for what happened to Caprica, and that I'm sure Blood & Chrome will get the same poor treatment, I'm actually crossing my fingers that Alessandra Torresani gets involved somehow because a.) I adore her and b.) how else are they going to connect the Cylon revolution, considering how Caprica ended?

ALSO...HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME THAT TRICIA AND KATEE DID THEIR LIVE USTREAM VIDDING JUST A FEW DAYS AGO? I TOTALLY MISSED THEM, AND I TOTALLY WANTED TO ASK QUESTIONS! Oh well, they are adorable anyway regardless and watching the videos makes me love them even more. If that's possible. ♥

Haven 1.09 - 'As You Were' Spoilers )

I also watched the premiere of Nikita and...I'm really loving the start of it. I know some people were apprehensive because of the original series, but this is taking more of rendition based on the film, which is what the original series was based off of as well. It was only the pilot so there needs to be some time to gain a rhythm of its own, but so far I think it has major potential. Plenty of exciting aspects, twists and unexpected turns, and an interesting cast. I mean hey, strong kickass females are always a plus in my book, not only that but having an Asian actress for the leading role is major win. \o/

And it's strange that it's on the CW. Normally that network is more for the soap opera melodramatics than plot-related action/spy shows. So, kudos for them greenlighting it. Now let's hope it gets noticed so it can have a steady run....

Or, more like this is a Why You Should Watch This Show pimping post. This isn't necessarily spoilery, but more or less a list about the things I'm liking about SciFi's new show, Haven, so far and I feel this show has much potential to become something amazing, and reasons why people should give this show a chance because of it.

Every town has some skeletons in the closet. - Well, this is one big freaking closet. )

This is just something in hopes others will take into consideration and dip their toes into, which will convince them that this is a worthwhile show to continue watching. Besides, the fandom news more than just me and the few random folks that watch it every week. I feel like this has massive potential that shouldn't be overlooked.
