Looks like I didn't really miss much regarding Supernatural. Figures. However, I am getting psyched up for 6.15 in case people haven't read my previous post. ^__^

I spent the other day rewatching Haven, the entire first season, and it reminded me just how frakking good the show is. Started out mysterious but kind of lighthearted for the most part, but ended on a darker, mostly serious business where shit got real and it makes me anticipate the second season that'll be airing this summer. It makes me really happy that the show was picked up for another season instead of being canned as the network now seems to love doing to their newer shows. I just hope that it stays this way because I really like Haven and the characters and the mysteries involved. It's one of those rare gems you find that nobody else knows about, and that you want more people watching because you love it that much.

Speaking of Syfy, while I'm still bitter at them for what happened to Caprica, and that I'm sure Blood & Chrome will get the same poor treatment, I'm actually crossing my fingers that Alessandra Torresani gets involved somehow because a.) I adore her and b.) how else are they going to connect the Cylon revolution, considering how Caprica ended?

ALSO...HOW COME NOBODY TOLD ME THAT TRICIA AND KATEE DID THEIR LIVE USTREAM VIDDING JUST A FEW DAYS AGO? I TOTALLY MISSED THEM, AND I TOTALLY WANTED TO ASK QUESTIONS! Oh well, they are adorable anyway regardless and watching the videos makes me love them even more. If that's possible. ♥

People didn't like Supernatural? That's too bad, I thought it was a great return to the old MOTW form.

I don't know if people did or didn't as a whole, I've seen mostly neutral so far from reviews/reactions. I think there's mostly chatter about the OOCness of certain scenes. *shrugs*

*shrugs* i saw it while i was half-way asleep/drunk, but i liked it.

what i didn't like was all the OMG THAT ACTRESS SUCKS when all she had was one line. like way to try to hide the automatic guest-vajayjay hate by rehashing all you've learned from watching Actor's Studio on youtube.

sure, she might suck donkey balls, but let her justify the vitriol before we go all premature hate ejaculation on her.

Hmmm, I haven't heard that much. Who was the actress?

Unfortunately fandom automatically gets that way of any female character regardless, it's completely stupid. Though I've seen many people disliking the way the show treats female characters more than people disliking the female character on my flist. But as a whole yeah, this fandom really is that spiteful which is ridiculous. :/

that's 'cause yr f-list is boss. like yr icon. *licks it*

i really wanted somebody older and wiser for The Mother of All Fierce Bitchery, but i'm v. intrigued with the character...i don't actually know the girl's name, but she was adorable in an Adrianne Palicki-look-alike brunette way.

i hope she doesn't suck and the writers can figure out what to do with her, because it could be really epic. my dream actress would have been Thandie Newton, but that's pretty impossible so.

Is she like the new Big Bad? I didn't watch the episode so I'm only getting bits and pieces of what happened.

yep. everybody's up in arms because she didn't scare them. which, idk. who has been really scary on that show? Mark and the dude who played the YED were intimidating, i guess, but i've never felt scared watching SPN. probably because a childhood full of Jason, Freddy, Chucky and the Exorcist. probably also because the show is less about being scary to the audience and more about scaring, scarring, fucking with the boys.

i doubt she'll be the greatest actress who ever lived, but i'm just disappoint about the preemptive hateration. whatever. *shrugs* i'll get over it, somehow. :D

Well that's rather ridiculous of an argument by rest of fandom. A Big Bad doesn't necessarily have to be "scary" but an initial threat to the boys and, like you said, she's only had minimal screentime so there's hardly telling on what level of intimidating she'll be in the future, if she/it returns in the same vessel or not. We'll see how it looks, though with this show and how they handle females in general (good or bad) I'm sort of pending on where this leads and the outcome.

Heh, I'm the same as you though. I'm pretty much immune to many of what people consider "scary" these days, and Supernatural is barely even scary these days anyway.

i quite enjoyed supernatural, even if a certain scene or two got the ooc!eye-roll.

and hee, i've totes been considering rewatching haven for a few days now, because i miss it like mad. (especially last night, because while i was reading hawaii five-0 fic, i kept picturing steve as nathan, which just. what. makes no sense at all. i guess it's just my brain's way of telling me that i should get my ass in gear and rewatch the damn show already. :D

do you know when the second season's supposed to air? like, spring? summer? autumn?

Most of this season has been an OOCfest, it gets annoying so idk.

Totally do it! Set aside a day for a rewatch because I got addicted all over again. I think Haven is returning in the summer. That's when it premiered and I think they're keeping with the summer schedule, along with their other shows like Warehouse 13 and Eureka.

..huh? I really liked 6x12 and didn't find anyone particularly OOC. Sam was back to being Sam, Dean was back to being old Dean, we got the best bro-hug ever, Cas was his awkward self (I mean, seriously. Awwwwww. ,_,) and Bobby was Bobby. Mostly people liked it, but as things always go, there were some who didn't.

I really liked the atmosphere, it felt like an episode of the first three seasons- it's like, with Sam being re-souled, everything that was weird and confusing and trippy became normal again. The new Big Bad is very interesting and I don't care that the actress seems like a newcomer or ~didn't make me shake in my boots with a few words ooh~ because the idea of her is intriguing. (the whining about her supposed lack of acting skills is pretty idiotic, considering she was on the screen for half a minute- and who knows, she might not even stay long. Change of vessels and all that.) There was also music. Sure, it was a little anti-climatic, but I wasn't expecting it to be the next On The Head of a Pin or Faith or any other my top favourite episode.

At least everything is better than 6x10. Everything. /rant

I guess I'm being selective with the episodes I watch with this season at this point. I've hear both the good and the bad, but that's all on a different person's perspective on the episode itself. I don't really hold much an opinion either way right now. *shrugs*

Oh well. It's your choice, but I would recommend watching at least this one- although my criteria for a good episode are different from yours.

Personally, I've really liked it. I've actually liked most of season six, but this episode made me realize that the first half really was missing something. I can't put my finger on it, but this episode just felt right.

Personally, I like the new big bad. I liked the dragon, even if we didn't see much. I liked what they did with Sam. Bobby was awesome. Dean was awesome and had one really funny scene. Cas was awesome but not present enough.

Most of the reviews I've read have been positive. Maybe I'm in the wrong parts of the fandom, but I haven't seen any negative vibe. I did the Dean/Cas chat while watching it, and we all seemed to like it.

I just meant in the general sense I didn't miss anything spectacular. Nothing bad but nothing exciting either.

I think I'm just indifferent to the show now. It's been boring me, or infuriating me, or both. This season has not been the greatest season and I've just lost my interest with it in a general sense. I've become more selective in the episodes I watch. I mean, I've purposefully skipped episodes I knew I wasn't going to like or enjoy, so you know.

I'm so happy haven is on, and that it's a Summer show. True Blood has been letting me down an awful lot, so it's nice to have something I'm really looking forward to <3

I love my summer shows. Haven is just a delight, I honestly can't wait for season two to start. So many questions we need answered! That finale was such a doozy, omg. :D

Same here. Considering how much Syfy has been canceling shows with potential lately, I was surprised that Haven made the cut for another season. If only they could have done that for Caprica....

I like pancakes too. I don't know what that quote is from, lol.

Need to watch more Haven! And more Caprica. I fail on so many levels. But Alessandra Torresani is so fantastic. I just want to see her on my tv more. :D

Nathan from Haven really likes pancakes, and says it a few times during the show. ;)

Alessandra is adorable. I still can't believe she's just a year younger than I am! It's so bizarre, lol. Anyway I do hope she gets something because I want to see her on my television screen again. I adored her as Zoe Graystone and I just love her in general. ♥
