THE ONLY SHOW WHERE YOU CAN GET EMOTIONAL OVER ~BEES~ )

In conclusion, Elementary is perfection and happy-making and if you're not watching it you need to, like, immediately. It's THAT GOOD.

Game of Thrones: I didn't watch the last episode, though I got the gist of what happened. I'm just waiting for the next episode because THE BEAR PIT and DANY. ♥

Hannibal: Everyone should be watching this show. I'm not just saying this because it's dangerously on the verge of not getting renewed (which I really hope it does), but also because it's a very, very good show, and very gorgeous too. Grotesquely gorgeous, in fact. Even if this isn't your preferred genre, it's still rather fascinating to watch. Someone said that it's very dreamlike, and indeed it is. Also, the best part about it is that you already know who Hannibal is and what he does. Everyone else around him is completely oblivious so it's just a matter of inside jokes with himself and the audience (ex. "It's always nice to have friends over for dinner.")

Defiance: Continues to be amazing. Also another show people should be watching if you aren't already. I pretty much love everything about the Tarr family, Stahma in particular because she is just so cunning and manipulative in a very calm, polite way. If she were to play the game of thrones, she would win hands down.

Elementary: Continues to be happy-making. JOAN AND SHERLOCK = FOREVER CHILDREN AND ADORABLE BFFS. ♥_♥ And we get Irene Alder this week! :D

Doctor Who: I haven't watched anything passed the Christmas episode, to be honest. It just hasn't really enthused me as it used to. I'm thinking once Clara's identity is revealed that will determine whether I will continue watching or not.

++ The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug exclusive behind-the-scenes sneak peek happened a few days ago, to which has gotten me ridiculously excited for the movie to come out. THORIN AND THRANDUIL! LEGOLAS AND THRANDUIL! TAURIEL! DWARVES IN BARRELS! BARD THE BOWMAN! LAKETOWN! a;sfjd;alskfd;laskdf GIVE IT ALL TO ME NOW! *grabby hands*

++ Pretty Little Liars just got renewed for a fifth season (even though they've just starting to film their fourth), along with getting a spin-off series called Ravenswood. It shouldn't be surprising considering this show is considered widely popular and has a huge following of fans, but it still boggles the mind when things like that happen. I'm also curious about this sister series, which will have their own little mysteries going on. Fortunately, with the same staff working on it and hopefully a talented cast like with our four main Liars, it will be just as good as its predecessor.

++ Additionally, CBS has renewed Elementary for a second season. I mean, there wasn't any doubt in my mind this would happen, but it's still amazing news to hear nonetheless.

++ Game of Thrones and Doctor Who return this weekend! I am both excited and apprehensive for both, for different reasons of course.

Elementary - 1.17 - Possibility Two )

Revenge - 2.14 - Sacrifice )

In other fandom happenings, it has been officially confirmed that Misha Collins has been, once again, signed on as a series regular for the ninth season of Supernatural. About time.

The Oscars were last night, but I didn't watch. While I'm disappointed that The Hobbit didn't win anything, I am ecstatic that Jennifer Lawrence won for Best Actress! I just love her so much. Girl has been slaying everywhere this season, winning all the awards. She rightfully deserves them, too, given she's very talented and puts a lot of effort into the projects she works on. Plus she's totally adorable and completely down-to-earth and, despite little embarrassing mishaps, she doesn't take herself seriously and has the full love and support of everyone around her, including her family (all who glomped her after her win, d'awww.) The fact that she's now an Oscar winner is quite impressive and very well-deserved. Congrats, bb gurl. ♥

Seems that LJ has decided to make the new update function mandatory instead of optional. Oh what fun. /sarcasm

And the adorable friendship between Joan and Sherlock continues... )

Is it just me, or does the opening credits often shorten itself depending on the length of the episode? I've noticed this several episodes back when one of them didn't even have the music, just the title card. I just find it weird that they would do it like that.

Also, for anyone who is in love with Joan's adorable fashion on the show as I am should check out this blog. It's not as regularly updated particularly with the recent episodes, but it's the only place I've found so far to check out where to find similar clothing to make your own Joan Watson fashion trend. Because whether done casually or just bundled up for that bitter New York weather, gurlfran knows how to dress.

In other television news, it appears that Alphas has been canceled. I didn't watch the show, but I know others that did. It just makes me wonder how many more shows does Syfy have to kill off before there's no longer any scifi on their channel anymore? Since there's only so many shows left, you know. *sighs*
