LIKE, OKAY. THIS EPISODE WAS JUST FUCKING AMAZING. SO MANY AMAZING THINGS HAPPENED, FROM THEM DYING AND GOING TO HEAVEN - AN INTERESTING WAY OF LOOKING AT HEAVEN, MATRIX-LIKE AND KINDA SCARY WITH ZACHARIAH AND HIS CRONIES LOOKING FOR THEM - AND THE DREAM-LIKE STATE THEY'RE IN. IT WAS VERY COOL. BUT AT THE SAME TIME, SOOOO FUCKING DEPRESSING AND HEARTBREAKING. LIKE, MY GOD. WHAT THE HELL.

SHOW, WHY DO YOU CONTINUE TO BREAK MY FAVORITE CHARACTERS? YOU BROKE DEAN MANY TIMES, AND NOW YOU'RE SHATTERING MY BB CASTIEL? HIS FAITH IS BEING STRIPPED FROM HIM, AND THAT ENDING JUST, OMG.

It was, especially when it was dawning on Dean that all of Sam's good memories were away from his own family.

Same here, I was thinking about Ellen and Jo and the personal heavens they showed. I would imagine they could travel out to see others if they really wanted to, and those who were fine with living in their own personal heavens would stay there.

I gathered that Ash hadn't located Ellen and Jo because he didn't know they were dead, and hadn't heard anything about them being dead before. Whether he'll be able to find them now is a whole other question. Who knows where Mary and John are, I'm wondering where they're going to go with that.

I'M JUST RECALLING BACK IN S1 WITH MARY'S SPIRIT HAUNTING THEIR OLD HOUSE AND HAVING DESTROYED THE OTHER POLTERGEIST BY CANCELING EACH OTHER OUT. AND THEN JOHN ESCAPED FROM HELL TO DISSOLVE IN FRONT OF THEM. IT MAKES ME WONDER IF THEY ARE IN HEAVEN TOGETHER OR THEY ARE SPIRITS ROAMING THE EARTH SOMEWHERE.

THERE NEEDS TO BE FURTHER EXPLANATION ON THIS, BECAUSE I WOULD LOVE FOR THE BOYS TO HAVE SOME PEACE OF MIND ABOUT THEIR PARENTS.

I figured that Mary may be in heaven, but possibly under lock and key(you never know). Who knows about John though. Is he in heaven, or is he currently doomed to roam the earth?

AND I WAS SO GLAD ASH WAS BACK. THIS WAS ONE OF THOSE TIMES THAT I WAS GLAD THAT I'M MOSTLY SPOILER-FREE ON SUPERNATURAL THIS SEASON. AND WHAT WAS GOING ON THE OTHER TIMES THAT SAM AND DEAN WERE IN HEAVEN?

THAT PART KINDA PUZZLED ME. WHEN DID THEY DIE? I MEAN SURE, SAM DIED THAT ONCE, AND THEN DEAN HAD THAT REPEATING DAY OF DYING IN "MYSTERY SPOT" BUT THAT WAS THE TRICKSTER/GABRIEL'S DOING, AND FROM THE LOOKS OF THINGS HE PROBABLY WENT TO HELL DESPITE THE CONTRACT ISSUE. UNLESS...THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT THE TIMES WHERE THEY "DIED" BUT RETURNED BACK TO LIFE INSTANTLY, LIKE IN WISHFUL THINKING SAM WAS STRUCK BY LIGHTNING, AND IN "SONG REMAINS THE SAME" SAM HAD DIED THEN TOO BEFORE BEING REVIVED AND SENT BACK TO PRESENT TIME. PERHAPS THOSE ARE THE MULTIPLE TIMES THEY'RE TALKING ABOUT? THEY WENT TO HEAVEN BUT THEIR MEMORIES WERE ERASED? WHICH WOULD MAKE SENSE. BUT STILL. IT HAS ME PONDERING.

I NEEDS TO KNOW MORE, SHOW. PLEASE DON'T JUST UNLOAD SOMETHING LIKE THAT AND THEN GIVE US NO EXPLANATION OF IT!

It think they were talking about any time they were dead(minus when Dean was in hell, unless they brought him to heaven before sending him back to earth?), even if they were returned immediately they were somewhere during that time. And possibly times they were dead that weren't shown on the show.

I was also wondering about this. Sam, sure, has died, even for a few minutes, and could have been to Heaven before. But Dean? After the car crash, his spirit didn't make it out of the hospital, Mystery Spot is anyone's guess (and if he actually did die during those six months and wasn't just stuck in the time loop, wouldn't he have gone to hell?), of course in NRFTW he went to hell...when could he have gone to Heaven? His future death in The End, which was probably an alternate universe created by Zach to screw with them?
