"And for a change of pace, there's a humor-heavy meta episode in which the Winchesters wake up as characters named Jared and Jensen on a TV show called Supernatural"

..................

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL RIGHT NOW. THIS COULD BE POTENTIALLY GOOD OR POTENTIALLY BAD DEPENDING ON HOW IT'S HANDLED. I seriously hope this is a Ben Edlund episode because he does that kind of humor tremendously well and, yes, my biased love for him and his work and this sounds like the kind of episode he would do just for kicks. I'm uncertain how to feel about yet another breaking the fourth wall kind of an episode. HOWEVER I WANNA KNOW IF MISHA IS GONNA PLAY HIMSELF, BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING THAT WOULD BE THE MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER SEEING MISHA PORTRAY HIMSELF. YOU KNOW HE'LL LOVE DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT, LOL! XD

However, this is what grabbed my attention because it is relevant to my interests:

"Upcoming episodes will bring more monsters and an Earth-threatening escalation of the civil war raging in Heaven. The treacherous archangel Raphael, who wants to rule the celestial kingdom, will make what Gamble calls "an aggressive personal move" on human-friendly fellow angel Castiel."

FUCK YEAH BITCHES! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, SHIT IS ACTUALLY GONNA GET DONE IN TERMS OF ~PLOT~ AND NONE OF THIS OOC GOING ALL OVER THE PLACE BULLSHIT AS THEY HAVE BEEN RECENTLY. ANGELICAL CIVIL WAR + CASTIEL VS RAPHAEL ARE GONNA SAVE THIS SEASON FROM BEING A TRAINWRECK. YOU KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE.

I'm very curious about the "aggressive personal move" Raphael is gonna pull against Castiel. The only thing I see that would be personal for him would be if something happened to Dean, because they do share their profound bond and despite there being a space between them this season (which I aggressively hate myself, but everyone knows that) Castiel still cares about Dean. So that's my prediction. Either that or Raphael cuts off his Grace and makes him powerless, which would weaken him against ever trying to take him and the rest of Heaven's forces on again. Particularly since people have said that Castiel mentioned last episode that he'd rather be down on Earth helping them more often, perhaps Raphael could personally see to that. WHATEVER MIGHT HAPPEN I AM KINDA EXCITED FOR THIS. I HAVE WAITED LIKE ALMOST ALL SEASON FOR THIS TO BE HONEST. DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE RIGHT NOW BUT THIS. \O/\O/\O/\O/

I may be getting a bit too enthusiastic after reading that, but can you blame me? I've been waiting for the angel civil war to be brought up for episodes. Sue me for getting just a wee bit excited for something that is actually relevant to my interests this season.

'making me really convinced they are taking from fandom this season and I'm not so sure that's a good thing....'
True, it seems like they're not stealing good fanfic ideas (ie what is Heaven like) but bad fanfic tropes (ie OOC Cas watches porn) and not being very subtle about it. I really hope the writers do something with the fact that Canon!Cas is miserable in Heaven and wants to stay on Earth, I've seen that idea in a lot of good fanfics.

'I would love to see him in something that has crack that doesn't butcher his characterization, or if he's actually playing himself that would be hilarious. XD'
It would be. I would love for it when/if Misha meets Sam and Dean that he says something like 'is this some kind of prank?' or 'is this something for the dvd extra's?' or even 'I'm totally posting about this on my Tweeter'.

'Same here, and I wanna know is how this is gonna affect Castiel on that level if Raphael is going to those kinds of measures.'
Me too! i just don't want the Angel War to take place completely off screen (at this point I'd even settle for one episode).

I'm wondering who has been in charge of creating these kinds of ideas for the episodes, and whoever thought it was okay needs to be fired immediately. I want to blame Sera Gamble since these kinds of things sound like something she totally would do underneath her control, however she's not entirely alone in this decision-making process.

Subtly show, do you not understand what that means anymore?

LOL OMG YES! I think I would die with happiness if there was something about Misha and his Twitter. Like shameless promoting of himself, which would totally be worth it really. I don't know, I can see the potential of this being absolutely amazing if handled right since I'm getting "Changing Channels" vibes all over this. However without Jeremy Carver, it's gonna be difficult to recreate that brilliance. The only one I trust would be Ben Edlund.

One episode dedicated to the angel civil war would make me an absolute HAPPY BUNNY, ngl. It would make enduring this season worth it.

True, but sadly I doubt Sera and Dawn O see any problem with the show becoming bad fanfic. When I used to joke that fangirl!Becky was Sera's author avatar I didn't think it was really true.

True, it does make me wonder why no one seems to be talking Sera out of these ideas. Even Kripke admitted that the original idea for What Is and What Should Never Be (Dean's AU life is a Bukowski novel) was scrapped because someone talked him out of it.

So very true. Edlund is the only writer I trust on this show in general anymore. I enjoyed Weekend at Bobby's but Dabb and Loflin's other episodes have been pretty bad, so THEY might be able to pull it off.

THIS! THIS! THIS!!1!

It makes me wonder where are the people who talked her out of her original plans for the season, particularly in the case of Dean's domesticated life storyline. Even though that wasn't enough considering it still existed and it's still enraging as hell, but whatever. I'm actually thinking Sera has the mentality of "I am showrunner now I can do whatever the hell I want to" and refuses to listen to anyone talking her out of things. But that's because I see nothing to really suggest anything else. :/

I really wanna know what Kripke thinks about all of this. I'm wondering his reaction, since all the interviews I've seen have all been Sera Gamble and none of him. So yeah, despite the position switch he still has to have an opinion, right?

I would believe it. She wouldn't be the first writer who thinks they're much better at writing than they actually are and don't have to listen to anyone. I've noticed that the writer who think they're great and don't need constructive criticism are the writers who need it the most. Just because you're getting paid to write something don't mean you still can't be a fanbrat.

I want to know too, but I'm thinking that we probably won't hear what he REALLY thinks until the show is over (if even then). Did Joss ever say anything about how bad (or so I've heard) Buffy got after he left?
