!!!!!!!!!!!!
Dec. 6th, 2010 07:26 pm"And for a change of pace, there's a humor-heavy meta episode in which the Winchesters wake up as characters named Jared and Jensen on a TV show called Supernatural"
..................

I DON'T KNOW WHAT TO FEEL RIGHT NOW. THIS COULD BE POTENTIALLY GOOD OR POTENTIALLY BAD DEPENDING ON HOW IT'S HANDLED. I seriously hope this is a Ben Edlund episode because he does that kind of humor tremendously well and, yes, my biased love for him and his work and this sounds like the kind of episode he would do just for kicks. I'm uncertain how to feel about yet another breaking the fourth wall kind of an episode. HOWEVER I WANNA KNOW IF MISHA IS GONNA PLAY HIMSELF, BECAUSE OF EVERYTHING THAT WOULD BE THE MOST HILARIOUS THING EVER SEEING MISHA PORTRAY HIMSELF. YOU KNOW HE'LL LOVE DOING SOMETHING LIKE THAT, LOL! XD
However, this is what grabbed my attention because it is relevant to my interests:
"Upcoming episodes will bring more monsters and an Earth-threatening escalation of the civil war raging in Heaven. The treacherous archangel Raphael, who wants to rule the celestial kingdom, will make what Gamble calls "an aggressive personal move" on human-friendly fellow angel Castiel."

FUCK YEAH BITCHES! THAT'S WHAT I'M TALKING ABOUT, SHIT IS ACTUALLY GONNA GET DONE IN TERMS OF ~PLOT~ AND NONE OF THIS OOC GOING ALL OVER THE PLACE BULLSHIT AS THEY HAVE BEEN RECENTLY. ANGELICAL CIVIL WAR + CASTIEL VS RAPHAEL ARE GONNA SAVE THIS SEASON FROM BEING A TRAINWRECK. YOU KNOW THAT IT'S TRUE.
I'm very curious about the "aggressive personal move" Raphael is gonna pull against Castiel. The only thing I see that would be personal for him would be if something happened to Dean, because they do share their profound bond and despite there being a space between them this season (which I aggressively hate myself, but everyone knows that) Castiel still cares about Dean. So that's my prediction. Either that or Raphael cuts off his Grace and makes him powerless, which would weaken him against ever trying to take him and the rest of Heaven's forces on again. Particularly since people have said that Castiel mentioned last episode that he'd rather be down on Earth helping them more often, perhaps Raphael could personally see to that. WHATEVER MIGHT HAPPEN I AM KINDA EXCITED FOR THIS. I HAVE WAITED LIKE ALMOST ALL SEASON FOR THIS TO BE HONEST. DON'T CARE ABOUT ANYTHING ELSE RIGHT NOW BUT THIS. \O/\O/\O/\O/
I may be getting a bit too enthusiastic after reading that, but can you blame me? I've been waiting for the angel civil war to be brought up for episodes. Sue me for getting just a wee bit excited for something that is actually relevant to my interests this season.

Date: 2010-12-07 03:40 am (UTC)I am crossing my fingers that the "aggressive personal move" involves Dean. That would be awesome. Can't you imagine Cas getting all BAMFY if Raphael targets Dean?
I am just ready to get some Angel Civil War s/l on my tv. Some "showing" not "telling." And also hoping we have more of Dean being involved in helping Cas out with it -- he did offer his help after all.

Date: 2010-12-07 04:40 am (UTC)I feel the same way. Let's actually deal with the civil war instead of it being background talk, m'kay show?

NO, REALLY, THIS IS, LIKE, MY FAVORITE PLOTLINE THIS SEASON. LET'S HAVE SOME EPIC SHIT GO DOWN. PLEASE. THANK YOU. Though I saw "aggressive personal move" and read it in an If You Know What I Mean way. :P STILL. SO EXCITED. :D

Date: 2010-12-07 06:26 am (UTC)as some of the episodes this season have been. Though I'm on the fence, it could be a great episode for all we know, crackalicious with a side of hilarity. It just all depends on what the direction of the episode is going to be (a la "Changing Channels" had mostly crack but turned into srs bsns towards the end) and who the writer is. *prays it's Edlund*
HEEEEE, ITA! THE ANGEL CIVIL WAR IN HEAVEN IS THE BESTEST PLOT THIS SEASON HAS RIGHT NOW. LIKE SOULLESS SAM? ALPHAS? PURGATORY? WHO GIVES A SHIT ABOUT THOSE, I WANT MOAR ANGELS PLZ KTHX. WANT IT NOW! *grabby hands*

Date: 2010-12-07 05:31 am (UTC)Huh, that makes some sense, considering that Misha did tweet about his "other job" when posting the picture, which could mean him playing himself playing another character or something in this meta episode. lol, idek.

Date: 2010-12-07 06:38 am (UTC)But yeah. IDK, man. That sounds like it could easily be a disastuh... it kind of already sounds like one to me. Although it does sound like something Gabriel would do. SO HERE'S HOPING.
As for the "aggressive personal move"? It's gotta be Raphael going after Dean. Or in the very least the Winchesters (+ Bobby, maybe). 'cause Cas really has few personal connections, and as they mention "human-friendly" I'd say it has to be either Dean or them. ('cause the only other connection I can think of is Balthazar, and while Balthazar is also on Raphael's shitlist and it'd be killing two birds with one stone, yeah. there's that human-friendly mention there that makes me think it can't be him.)

Date: 2010-12-07 07:23 am (UTC)And I kinda wanna see Misha playing himself, or Castiel attempting to play "Misha Collins" or something, lol. idek, it sounds like a hoot. XD

Agreed, so hard. They wouldn't mention human-friendly so specifically in that sentence and description unless it really is directly towards hurting someone Castiel knows, Dean is definitely very personal to him. I can just imagine the kind of anger/rage/wrath he would have realizing that Raphael was going to be coming after Dean. I can also kinda see Castiel going to Balthazar for help if it's a threatening kind of situation that needs more than just him to handle Raphael. SO MANY POSSIBILITIES WITH THIS KIND OF INFO. I WANT THIS TO HAPPEN NOW.
This makes me aching for some angel vs angel brawl of sorts. Because dammit, we need an epic one badly.
I also kinda want Cas to win this fight on his own this time, lol(no subject)

Date: 2010-12-07 07:59 am (UTC)I'm holding out on seeing what happens with it. Though I will admit the constant breaking of the fourth wall is getting slightly annoying. There are subtle ways of going about probing the fandom without it being so blatant like this, you know?
The second spoiler - not really a spoiler. AS IF WE DIDNT GUESS THAT?!
It's rather new spoiler for me, actually. Or more of it being an actual confirmed spoiled rather than gossip and rumors. Granted we knew it would happen, but with this show you never know to what extent it'll happen in.

Date: 2010-12-07 08:52 am (UTC)Oh shit! Now that's what I am talking about.
I am curious about this "aggressive personal Move" on Raphael's part. The only thing I could think of is that Ralph threatens to kill Dean as revenge or something similar and Castiel has to come to his rescue. Which would be totally Epic. Can you image that shit? It would be awesome. Not to mention it would totally reek of no one touches my human which would rock my socks off.
And yes. Please bring on more of this civil war in Heaven storyline which frankly is far more interesting than what is going on between Sam and Dean.
I want some action, I want some angels (and preferably some human friendly angels besides Cas) and I want me so motherfreaking plot!

Date: 2010-12-07 12:49 pm (UTC)I'm definitely getting the vibe of Raphael threatening Dean, because they did mention the human-friendly part, and really what other move could be more personal than that? I find that rather significant. It's either gonna be him threatening Dean or the Winchesters in general, and either way all I'm seeing in my head is Castiel being badass and fiercely protective of his human. I mean come on, we need more BAMF!Cas this season and this would be the perfect opportunity. *prays this happens so hard*

Date: 2010-12-07 10:55 am (UTC)I'm reminded of all the RPF/canon crossover fics out there (with all this badfic tropes being spread about this season I'm not surprised), and I'm wondering how they're gonna set this up. Particularly because the description, unless it's a typo, mentions "characters named Jared and Jensen" which slightly implies something else entirely, but again I'm not sure.
Part of me is hoping it's Gabriel-related. *prays that it is*
I've never been this excited all season, to be honest. Which is kinda sad when you think about it, but really though. Heaven civil war, how much awesome can you get with that?

Date: 2010-12-07 10:47 am (UTC)I'm wondering how it's gonna be done, of course. Again it could be great and hilarious or it could be a potential trainwreck with tons of second-hand embarrassment. With this show who knows anymore.

Date: 2010-12-07 12:58 pm (UTC)YES YES YES TO A META-EPISODE (ESP IF IT'S WRITTEN BY BEN... maybe we'll have Gabriel back too, pretty please with a cherry on top ;~;?)
YES YES YES YES YES TO ANGELIC CIVIL WAR-THINGS YES YES YES TO RAPHAEL
ANGELS ARE GONNA BE OUR SAVING GRACE~~
I love these new spoilers. ♥
Seriously, maybe the ~personal move~ means Raphael's gonna try to kill Dean? Could he cut off Castiel's Grace? :/ I mean, isn't Cas an archangel too, can they do stuff like that. D: I'm just gonna flail.

Date: 2010-12-07 01:10 pm (UTC)Seriously, after this last rage-inducing episode I feel like these spoilers are giving me some kind of silver lining of hope because I have predicted that once the second half of the season starts that's when the party really begins and all he exciting shit starts happening.
The meta episode I feel will be potentially awesome if Edlund is operating it. And Gabriel is involved somehow (I mean, how can he not? This sounds like such a Gabriel-thing to do like with "Changing Channels")
ANGEL CIVIL WAR FINALLY GETTING RECOGNIZED AND DEALT WITH! HALLELUJAH! AND YES, IF THESE TURN OUT AS AWESOME AS I SUSPECT THEM TO BE IT WILL BE TRUE THAT THE ANGELS REALLY ARE OUR SAVING GRACE FROM THIS SEASON. :D :D :D

I'm actually wondering this myself, since last season Castiel was cut off from Heaven and some his powers had diminished, of course we hardly know precisely how that works or who decides that upstairs. One would assume that the higher ups are in control, and that had been Michael, but without him and Heaven in utter chaos and only Raphael left, it would be interesting if he did have that power. But as far as I know, Castiel isn't necessarily an archangel. Then again the show never really gives us more information about rankings and whatnot. We just know that Cas is more supercharged than before.
But whatever is gonna happen, it's definitely gonna involved his connection with Dean. I'm positive it's that. I mean, what else could it be? It's either his connection with Heaven or with Dean since those are his only personal ties.

Date: 2010-12-07 03:50 pm (UTC)Oh man, this could be really good (See: Changing Channels) or bad fanfic awful (See: most of the 'funny' episodes this season). As much as I'm nervous about this episode I really hope Misha's in it because I'm still bummed that he wasn't in The Real Ghostbusters (I would have died if someone had mistaken Cas for Constantine).
'I'm very curious about the "aggressive personal move" Raphael is gonna pull against Castiel.'
Me too. Since they mentioned Cas is human friendly I'm guessing it will either involve Sam and Dean or Jimmy's family.

Date: 2010-12-07 03:59 pm (UTC)making me really convinced they are taking from fandom this season and I'm not so sure that's a good thing....and hopefully with some explanation of how and why (and my fangirl hopes are for Gabriel, even though that may or may not even happen idek) and Misha does appear in the episode. I would love to see him in something that has crack that doesn't butcher his characterization, or if he's actually playing himself that would be hilarious. XDSame here, and I wanna know is how this is gonna affect Castiel on that level if Raphael is going to those kinds of measures.

And more on the civil war in Heaven sounds very, very promising. Particular if it gets really personal between Cas and Raphael. Yes, please. :)

Date: 2010-12-10 03:17 am (UTC)Yeah, I'm kinda in the same boat as well. I've just not been pleased with how they've been handling this season at all, from the inconsistency of writing and characterizations (the premiere episode was clear indication of that straight away), I'm really been kind of distancing myself from it.
However with some of these recent spoilers it hits the buttons of what I've been anticipating and optimistic for (angel civil war) and with the RPF-crossover-rip they'll be doing, well, I'm hoping it's somewhat clever enough to be hilarious without it being overbearingly cringe-worthy.
