Date: 2009-10-13 05:42 am (UTC)The first clip is rather interesting. Cavil having a chapel meeting with the other Cylons (loving the hardcore!Six), talking about their plan which didn't go how it was originally sketched out and attempting to finish it through by destroying the surviving humans of the fleet. But what's interesting is how they regard each other by their model number and not names, indicating that individualism isn't their main importance. Because individual names would mean they have become more human.
I liked the second clip with the hybrid giving the news of the happenings of the destruction of the Twelve Colonies. I also like that we actually see some of the other colonies too, the destruction taking place. That is so awesome.
The third clip is rather intriguing, and a bit confusing. I'm assuming that there are two sides to Boomer during the beginning of the series, one that can be triggered away from her sleeper programming and the other being the human side, believing that she always has been human. It seems that the pure machine part of her has been affected by the humanity part, which would explain her last comment to Cavil saying that the good part of her is gone. That she tried to think of herself as a pure machine, like a Centurion, but there was something inside of her that forbid killing Adama via the head.
The confusing part would be, after Boomer downloaded, did she have all this knowledge of what she'd done and the secret meetings with Cavil since she's no longer a sleeper agent? If so, how will this blend in with her characterization in the show? What about her behavior later on in the show, and is that why she tried to close herself off from everything? That's what I'm puzzled by and wondering how they'll connect all the events together.
