My sleeping patterns are problematic.
Jun. 7th, 2009 07:08 am++ Apparently my sleep schedules gone whacked for reasons stated previously in my RL post, I don't know whether it's insomnia or I'm oversleeping via naps and I have just screwed myself over from that entirely. And you know those nights where you're trying to fall asleep but just can't no matter how hard you try? Yeah, just had one of those nights. Not fun. Le sigh.
++ WONDER GIRLS will be making their American debut! First BoA and now Wonder Girls? I'm liking this sudden change of pace of Asian artists making their headway into the Western music scene, and this has me hoping that they'll collaborate together. The unfortunate thing is they'll be touring with the freaking Jonas Brothers. Srsly JYP, the JoBros? Srsly? I'm sorry, but WONDER GIRLS >>>> JOBROS ANYDAY. They are way too classy for that shit. Nevertheless though, it's the marketing strategy to gain more audiences here which I understand, and judging from the articles coming out with this news they are suggesting that the girls won't be changing their style other than translating their lyrics from Korean to English, so that's good. Hopefully they'll break out onto their own after getting their first exposure to the American audiences, and I'm sure they will. 'Cause they are just that amazingly fierce like that.
++ New fandoms are shiny and fun. I've just started getting into Numb3rs (I know, where've I been right?) and kinda loving it actually. The Big Bang Theory is too hilarious for words, like really. I've also just started watching the Korean drama 90 Days, Falling In Love Days which is a drama dealing with the taboo of two first cousins falling in love in something like a Romeo and Juliet drama story in a sense. I've just begun and am on the second episode, but so far I'm liking it, even if the subbing sucks ass. More on new fandoms discovered for later when I have something coherent to say about them.
++ Reading spoilers for Heroes next season and I have to say, I'm not entirely impressed. It seems like the same-old schtick they've been doing for the last three seasons now, aside from the casting spoilers that have been announced. I don't know, not enthusiastic to be honest.
++ MISHA COLLINS MANIPPED HIMSELF! Everyone's seen this already but I don't care, it's worth reposting again and again because it's MISHA FUCKING COLLINS AND HE FUCKING MANIPPED HIMSELF INTO A PICTURE WITH HIS CRAZY TWITTERING!! ♥ ♥ ♥ When he said he was a fangirl in disguise, he certainly wasn't lying. Oh Mish Mish, how did we ever deserve someone like you? ♥

Date: 2009-06-07 09:42 pm (UTC)The whole Sylar-as-Nathan-remembering-he's-Sylar thing will either be awesome or end with epic fail. We'll see how that goes (but I loved Adrian when he did Sylar impressions back in S1 in 5YG, remember that? I just hope whatever they have planned works in the long run).

Date: 2009-06-08 12:19 am (UTC)I remember that episode(it's my favorite one lol). It could be awesome, or they'll mess it up and it'll be the storyline made of epic fail. I just think it's weird that they made Sylar invincible(even though it was one awesome episode lol). I mean, they made a huge point about why he shouldn't have Claire's ability, and then he ended up with it anyway.

Date: 2009-06-08 02:27 am (UTC)But in truth I do love Ali and she plays these characters incredibly well, but I miss the simplistic story with Niki and Jessica (if you can call that simplistic, since we were all trying to figure out what was happening with her during S1...and that was half the fun during those days). The whole deal with her and these triplet thing is just overdone and perhaps an afterthought just to spice things up or something. Which again I love Ali, but the woman is far too talented to really do more crappy storylines just for the sake of the show.
To me, Mohinder has always had a purpose and I loved him in both season one and two, especially the latter because I felt he could have had more involvement with the Company adding his own moral compass to their organization as Bob had suggested to him. That would've been interesting to see, imo. But it was season three that messed things up, as you should know of my feelings towards that season in general.
They only made Sylar invincible because they think fans would be devastated if Sylar were to be gone from the show. I just think they should just be done with Sylar's storyline in general, because as much as I love him and ZQ, his story is getting kinda old. Or at least space his stuff out instead of having Sylar randomly be in an episode where he serves little to no purpose.

Date: 2009-06-08 02:39 am (UTC)I think they thought Peter was going to be to powerful, so they messed with his ability, and now they've made Sylar to powerful. All of the characters have lost a little through the seasons, but I think that happens in a lot of shows.

Date: 2009-06-08 02:44 am (UTC)But in terms of Heroes, they've messed up A LOT of stuff that I don't think can be redeemed unless a miracle happens. Meh.
