I was glad when I read that Carmen Ejogo/Seraphina Picquery was confirmed for the second movie. It gave me hope that we may eventually see Percival Graves again or at least find out what happened to him.

Date: 2018-04-04 06:45 pm (UTC)Yeah, I mean, I've read a lot of fan theories and heacanons surrounding whether or not Credence knew the real Percival Graves before his identity was stolen by Grindelwald (and perhaps Grindelwald used Legilimency or other methods to mentally torment him to understand his personality, how he interacted with others, etc), especially since it's believed that Grindelwald was in America the same amount of time that Newt was, which was not very long. If nothing else, if the real Graves knew Credence before Grindelwald, it was probably due to what happened with Tina and her demotion with everything that happened. I have my own headcanons about that, too.
So I know the reasons why people ship the real Percival Graves with Credence (which is more just filling in the space with headcanons of who the real Graves was and his possible interaction with Credence), it's just not a ship I particularly like.

Not that I'm going to watch it, but let's just hope that she has more screentime than in the first film, but I doubt she will.
