It is perfectly okay to give me more than one show, just so you know. This can also be extended to things not strictly television specific (webseries or film series, for example).

JESSICA JONES

My all-time ultimate fave character: Jessica Jones
A character I didn't used to like but now do: Hogarth. She was one of those characters where you didn't quite know how to feel about them, where you go back and forth on whether you actually liked them or not, but in the end I wound up really liking her. Aside from the fact that they gender switched from the comics, which I do appreciate making the series more woman-centric, Hogarth is another example of a character who is not entirely a saint, who does use people for her own personal gain, and the show fully acknowledges that and she suffers the consequences for it. Her dynamic with Jessica is also quite interesting, and I'm intrigued to see where her character goes.
A character I used to like but now don't: Simpson. When he was introduced he seemed okay and decent enough, but then of course as time went on we saw that wasn't the case at all and he turns out to be just an asshole.
A character I'm indifferent about: N/A
A character who deserved better: Wendy, because no matter what she didn't deserve to be accidentally killed especially when she was underneath Kilgrave's influence. Pam, because despite her naivete she didn't deserve to be tossed under the bus by Hogarth like that. Ruban, because he was just a harmless weird neighbor and what Kilgrave did to him to "send a message" was horrible. Hope Shlottman, most definitely, because after everything she deserved to have her name cleared and her life back. She was innocent and her life, all her achievements and her future, was taken away from her. :(
A ship I've never been able to get into: N/A
A ship I've never been able to get over: Jessica/Luke. I'm not entirely sure they'll be following the comics, but I do hope that they do get back together in the future. For now I understand they need their time apart after everything that went down, but I do want them to have a talk about the events proper.
A cute, low-key ship: N/A
An unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: N/A
A ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: I mean, it's super obvious that the answer is going to be Jessica/Kilgrave, but at least the show made it clear to call it out as what it is and how it shouldn't have occurred.
My favourite storyline/moment: I loved seeing the flashbacks to Jessica and Trish when they were teenagers, when Jessica got her abilities and how she saved Trish's life from her abusive mother. Not only was the casting spot-on, but it showed precisely how their relationship formed. Just, everything revolving around Jessica and Trish was beautiful.
A storyline that never should have been written: Not that I didn't think it shouldn't have been written, but the fact that Kilgrave made her place house with him (with a reconstruction of her childhood home inside of her childhood home) was absolutely creepy. I mean, that was the point, and it was to show how repulsive Kilgrave was with his obsession with her and we got Jessica calling him out for being the gross rapist he is. But still, it's an arc that I didn't particularly care for.
My first thoughts on the show: I knew nothing of Jessica Jones before watching, but I knew based on the limited info I had that I was going to really, really love it. And I was right. It was amazing from beginning to end.
My thoughts now: I want season two right now, dammit. I know we're getting The Defenders but I want Jessica Jones season two sooner than later, please.
