Give me a TV series and I'll tell you:It is perfectly okay to give me more than one show, just so you know. This can also be extended to things not strictly television specific (webseries or film series, for example).

Part 1
Date: 2017-03-01 09:36 pm (UTC)My all-time ultimate fave character: Number Six (all incarnations) and Sharon (Athena and Boomer).
A character I didn't used to like but now do: Leoben. At first I wasn't sure what to make of him, his obsession with Kara was quite creepy; he was interesting as a character, no doubt, but I wasn't sure how to feel about him overall. But I guess I warmed up to him later on. It's a complicated and fucked up, but I find the character intriguing.
A character I used to like but now don't: I'm not quite sure?
A character I'm indifferent about: Cavil, Chief Tyrol, Cally
A character who deserved better: EVERYBODY! This is a series where a lot of depressing things happen, and where so many characters deserved better than what was done to them. Listing them all would take forever.
A ship I've never been able to get into: Kara/Lee. They're fine as friends, but together romantically they were incredibly destructive and brought out the worst in each other. I am not denying there was chemistry and history between them, but they just couldn't make it work. So much that they decided to cheat on their respective spouses in order to be together, knowing how wrong it was but still taking that risk anyway, and that is unforgivable.
A ship I've never been able to get over: Six/Gaius. I just love them so much and throughout the entirety of the series I had hoped that Caprica Six and Gaius would reunite and be together and the fact that they got their happy ending made me so, so happy! Still not over them, even after all these years. Same with Helo/Athena. I rooted for them throughout the show and seeing the progression of their relationship, how much they loved each other, how much they protected each other, it made me so happy that they, too, got their happy ending.
A cute, low-key ship: Idk? I guess I could say Gaeta/Hoshi, but that was only featured in "The Face of the Enemy" webisodes, and it was incredibly brief at that.
An unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Kara/Sam. I honestly really loved them together. Also: Kara/Kat and Kara/Kendra.
A ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Caprica Six and Saul Tigh. It just felt really weird. Same with the implications with Boomer and Cavil.
Part 2
Date: 2017-03-01 09:37 pm (UTC)A storyline that never should have been written: Athena basically shooting and killing Natalie because of her growing paranoia, and then basically ended up walking free. Like, I love Athena but that was kind of not needed, in my opinion? There could've been a million other ways to showcase Athena's paranoia about someone stealing Hera from her. Natalie didn't have to die, especially when she didn't do anything wrong and was just a case of paranoia and mistaken identity, and I'll be forever bitter about that. Other than that, I'm sure there are more things that I wish hadn't been written into the show, but I feel like those are more individual episodes more than full storylines that I didn't like the outcome of or could've done better with. Like "Black Market", for example; I liked the concept of there being a black market among the fleet, but the execution didn't work in the end. I really liked the telemovie The Plan (because duh, Cylons), but I also felt like they could've been executed a bit better.
My first thoughts on the show: I started watching the show during its second season, marathoned it before the third season premiere. It looked interesting and I had heard a bit about the show previously, so I decided to check it out, and I became rather addicted to it.
My thoughts now: BSG is one of my top five favorite television shows of all time. Like, I cannot recommend it enough to people. From the performances and the storytelling to the visual effects, even the music, it felt like a movie rather than a television series. And I feel there should be a resurgence of the show because it is incredibly relevant to what is happening with our current events. It has its flaws, yes, and things I wished could've been written or handled differently, but at the end of the day this series will always be my favorite. ♥
