DARK MATTER

My all-time ultimate fave character: Two and Five.
A character I didn't used to like but now do: It's more about a character I didn't expect to like initially but they grew on me, which would be Three. He definitely started out as a very Jayne Cobb-esque kind of character, one that you're wondering what side he's really on and if he might sell the rest of them out if he could. But, just like with Jayne, he had his fair share of development and I really ended up liking him a lot.
A character I used to like but now don't: None.
A character I'm indifferent about: One.
A character who deserved better: The woman that Three was connected with, who he tried to save from a disease before he lost his memory. She was someone he truly cared about, and even though keeping her inside the stasis pod was stalling her illnessness and preventing her from dying it wouldn't have been enough. It just sad and tragic all around, especially since he honestly didn't remember anything but felt like he needed to, for her sake.
A ship I've never been able to get into: One/Two, mostly because it was kinda predictable, but also they don't share that same level of chemistry.
A ship I've never been able to get over: N/A
A cute, low-key ship: N/A
An unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: N/A
A ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Again, One/Two.
My favourite storyline/moment: Two discovering the truth of her identity, at least what she was. That was a reveal I didn't see coming, but also it was something I was highly anticipating since throughout the first season they were hinting that Two was different, we just didn't know in what way. That was really well done and handled incredibly well.
A storyline that never should have been written: None.
My first thoughts on the show: It's another science fiction series, and I desperately needed to fill in that scifi void in my heart and soul. Plus diverse cast, sold immediately.
My thoughts now: Dark Matter is a brilliant show that combines not just everything I love about science fiction but also all the amazing tropes I love so much. It's a found family in space where they are discovering about themselves and learning to trust one another, and basically it is just tropey fun in a good, exciting way. I love it to bits and everyone needs to be watching it.

My all-time ultimate fave character: I have to choose? Because honestly, especially when it comes to the cluster, I can't pick just one favorite character. They're all my favorites, I genuinely love them all.
A character I didn't used to like but now do: Rajan. Based on the situation with Kala marrying someone she doesn't love, you'd expect Rajan to not be a stand-up guy. But that's not true at all. After the Christmas special we see that Rajan is actually quite nice. I'm only hoping it stays that way.
A character I used to like but now don't: No one at the moment.
A character I'm indifferent about: Whispers. He's the main antagonist so he's an asshole and I despise what he's doing to the cluster (and all clusters, really) especially to Will, but in truth I just don't care about his character and I'm hoping that somehow they'll be able to defeat him in the second season so he goes away.
A character who deserved better: I mean, considering most of their situations they kind of all deserve better. But that's kind of the point of the show, especially when the cluster helps each other out. They are a found family who unites through tough times and offers much needed assistance and advice to help them get through whatever hardship they're suffering.
A ship I've never been able to get into: N/A
A ship I've never been able to get over: Lito/Hernando, Nomi/Amanita, Will/Riley, Kala/Wolfgang. ♥ ♥ ♥

My favourite storyline/moment: Lito finally accepting his sexuality despite the consequences and realizing who his true family is in the Christmas special. When the cluster was just starting to come together as a team, starting with helping Nomi escape and of course when they were helping Will rescue Riley.
A storyline that never should have been written: Nothing yet so far.
My first thoughts on the show: Was confused at first what it was about, and it was slow-going but I was intrigued nonetheless.
My thoughts now: MY BEAUTIFUL CHILDREN AND THEIR FOUND FAMILY. ♥ ♥ ♥ Seriously, I think once the cluster started finally coming together that is why my love for the show skyrocketed. It's a beautiful concept and I am curious to see where they go from here. Also, the orgies and the cluster being confirmed as being pansexual with each other because of their connection, yes. ;)
