Give me a TV series and I'll tell you:It is perfectly okay to give me more than one show, just so you know. This can also be extended to things not strictly television specific (webseries or film series, for example).

Date: 2017-02-28 08:57 pm (UTC)My all-time ultimate fave character: Sarah Manning. It's tough to choose from because I love all the clones, but Sarah was the first character we were introduced to, she was the catalyst that brought us into the story and so I have a strong attachment to her personally.
A character I didn't used to like but now do: Paul. I went back and forth on Paul a lot, whether he was trustworthy or worth Sarah's time, but in the end I he was a good guy after all. He just made some bad choices and got mixed up in the wrong things, but he truly cared about Sarah, loved her even, and his sacrifice was something I will forever be sad about. I would also like to say Donnie, because in the beginning I wasn't all that convinced that he and Alison should've been together, but over the course of the show they've proven to be the best accidental murder power couple and I just love? Donnie proved himself loyal to Alison and the rest of the clones.
A character I used to like but now don't: N/A
A character I'm indifferent about: Delphine.
A character who deserved better: Beth Childs. Poor Beth, she tried so hard but got in too deep and things were just spiraling out of control and beyond anything she was prepared to deal with. Even though her suicide launched the series from the opening scene in the series premiere, it's still sad and I kinda wished that Beth had survived somehow to witness everything that Sarah and their sisters have accomplished. And special mention to all the other clones that we didn't meet or didn't have time to get to know but perished, whether from the sickness or by someone else. I also think Evie Cho deserved better than what she was handed. Yeah, she was an antagonist, but there was still a lot about Evie that we didn't really get to learn about, and I felt her time on the show was very short.
A ship I've never been able to get into: Cosima/Delphine. There is just something about their relationship I could never get behind, which was ultimately because Delphine lied to Cosima from the start. Yeah, she might have grown to develop feelings for her and realized that what she was assigned to do was wrong, but no matter how complicated I'm not down for something like that. Never mind that Delphine continually disregarded Cosima's feelings and autonomy. I don't know, it just reminded me of the reasons why I didn't like Bo/Lauren from Lost Girl, just the total lack of respect for personal autonomy and decisions of an individual all because of ~science. While I understand the importance of Cosima/Delphine as a canon f/f couple, and I know that the complicatedness of their relationship is what people like, it's just not something I can get into, personally speaking.
A ship I've never been able to get over: Sarah/Paul, they were both fucked up people with trust issues and did this dance around each other a lot, but in the end Paul truly did love Sarah and Sarah cared a lot about him, which makes his end truly tragic.
A cute, low-key ship: Helena/Jesse. After everything Helena has been through in her life, she deserves some happiness. They are oddly incredibly cute together and I do hope to see more of Jesse in the last season, at least.
An unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Cosima/Shay. I really liked them together and wished that she stayed a little longer.
A ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Idk.
My favourite storyline/moment: Oh gosh, so many! I can't possibly choose.
A storyline that never should have been written: None that I can think of. While there were certain ones I favored over others, all storylines presented on the show have importance to the overall plot of the story.
My first thoughts on the show: It was a genre and story right up my alley, and I was curious to see what everyone was talking about.
My thoughts now: TATIANA MASLANY DESERVES ALL THE AWARDS FOR EVERY SINGLE CLONE SHE HAS PORTRAYED! Seriously, my thoughts on this show is a combination of "wow this is some excellent writing/acting/storytelling" and "WHERE ARE ALL THE AWARDS AND WHY IS NOBODY TALKING ABOUT THIS MORE".

Date: 2017-02-28 09:20 pm (UTC)(Keep in mind that I haven't seen any of the second season, and have basically dropped the show at this point, but I'll keep my answers based on S1 and what I know of S2)
My all-time ultimate fave character: Kara Danvers, this adorable ray of sunshine. ♥
A character I didn't used to like but now do: N/A
A character I used to like but now don't: N/A
A character I'm indifferent about: Winn
A character who deserved better: James. He deserves so much better than the crap they've apparently been giving him on the show lately. Ugh. And Cat, because she needs to come back onto the show. I guess I felt like she deserved more screentime and more of developing that relationship with Kara.
A ship I've never been able to get into: Alex/Maggie. Listen, I understand the importance of Alex's coming out and Maggie helping her along the way, but just judging based on the things I've seen and heard people complain about, Maggie just merely exists as Alex's love interest. That's it. I've heard that we're getting some background info from her, but it's really NAGL when you have a f/f couple and only one of them is fully fleshed out while the other is just simply there. Y'know?
A ship I've never been able to get over: Kara/James. Fuck you writers, they were perfect together, you spent an entire season of them developing feelings for one another only to pull the rug from underneath all because you didn't want to work harder for making it work in the writing? Fuck. You. /forever bitter
A cute, low-key ship: Not gonna lie, Kara/Lena has potential (it's basically Clex 2.0, lol).
An unpopular ship but I still enjoyed it: Kara/Sara and Alex/Sara. Because crossovers are fun and I really want to see the Danver sisters traveling with the Legends of Tomorrow team and meeting/befriending/crushing on/fighting alongside Sara Lance. ;)
A ship that was totally wrong and never should have happened: Kara/Mon-El. Just, ewww, no. Destroy it with fire.
My favourite storyline/moment: As I mentioned, Alex's coming out story was nicely handled with decency and respect, which was something I really appreciated. And I think the crossover with The Flash during the first season was really well-done, hilarious and perfectly handled. I want more crossovers like that in the future, and not something massive like the one that happened with the CW's DCTV lineup.
A storyline that never should have been written: Can we have a do-over with the second season, save a few storylines that were actually good?
My first thoughts on the show: This could be really bad or really good, but Kara is adorable.
My thoughts now: Oh, Supergirl, what went wrong? You showed much potential and promise in the first season, and I don't know whether to blame your downfall on the network change or just your producers, but it's such a damn shame either way. I didn't even start watching the second season, but knowing all the things I know now I'm glad I didn't. At least we still have S1?
