++ I've been thinking about doing that female characters meme that I see people doing, though looking at all the questions, especially regarding favorites, I literally just want to go ALL THE LADIES. ALL OF THEM. Seriously, with all the fandoms I have, from new to old, it would be impossible to pick just one favorite female character in any category question. :3

++ Watched the season premiere of Sleepy Hollow, loved it, just basically spent the entire thing going (♥‿♥) at Ichabod and Abbie. Also watched the pilot for Gotham and while I wasn't unimpressed, I'm rather unsure if I will be keeping up with it. DC comics isn't my territory. I will say, though, that I am mostly intrigued by young Selina Kyle, even though she barely spoke a word. I may have to tune into the next episode to see where they'll be going with her character.

++ While I no longer watch The Vampire Diaries and was only partially paying attention to The Originals, some recent news for the upcoming new season of the latter sparked an interest. Apparently, Nina Dobrev will be guest-starring on The Originals as Tatia, a.k.a. the first and Original of the Petrova bloodline. I had originally thought they were planning on introducing her earlier in TVD, since I vaguely remember there being some talk a couple years ago about Nina portraying four doppelgangers, and IIRC she's only played three. Although Tatia being properly introduced on The Originals makes sense, given the history and her being the original of her own bloodline of doppelgangers. While I'm still pissed at them killing off my bby Katherine (dumb move, imho) and not knowing when Rebekah will be returning, I am very intrigued. It might not be enough to get me to tune in, but I am still very intrigued nonetheless.

Oh yeah, I remember Birds of Prey. Shortly lived, though I was curious about it because I recognized one of the actresses from Dark Angel being part of the main cast. Also, now that I'm looking it up, so was Tamsin from Lost Girl!

Yeah. Ashley Scott. Who played Asha on Dark Angel. I knew she looked familiar and then I looked up that she was on Birds of Prey and I was like, "OH YA!" She was a little bit younger back then. :)

They say it'll be episode five. I hope it delivers on giving us enough of Tatia that it won't be a "blink and you'll miss her" kind of deal, but still leave us wanting more of her for possible returns in flashbacks. But regardless, I'm pretty excited. :)

lol, I have the same problem with the female character meme. Like "when you say favorite, you mean top 5/10, right?" Because that's the only way I'd be able to answer most of those questions.


I don't know how they'll deal with Tatia. The only time they mentioned her was back in season 3 and they kind of retconned her being the first doppelganger last season with Amara. Still, I'm interested to see Nina interact with Daniel again, as I always thought Elijah had a lot of chemistry with Katherine and Elena.

I'm not 100% sure of this, but I imagine we'll see Rebekah again right away. I know they started filming season 2 right after they finished the season 1 finale and Claire Holt was still around so I imagine they had her film at least a scene or two for those first few episodes. Especially since I think one of those early eps features Original-family flashbacks.

I mean, even though I know you can add more characters if you want to, I'm afraid that I might get too carried away, you know? I just have so many lovely ladies that I'm kind of afraid of leaving some vital ones out, lol. ;p

I haven't really paid attention to TVD over the last few seasons aside from a few stuff, but yeah they honestly shot themselves in the foot for messing with their own mythology, in more ways than one. They could even retcon their own retcon if they wanted to with this, heh. Regardless though, I'm pretty excited to see Nina portray Tatia.

I know we saw her briefly in the season promo, and that she hasn't really left the show entirely (thank goodness). So, I think we'll just have to wait and see.

That's my problem :) I'd have far too many characters to list for some of the options. If I had enough time/motivation, I might make up my own meme that had more options so I'd be able to name favorites without picking like 20 ladies per question :)

Yes, I'll be interested to see what she does with the character. I loved Katherine and seasons 1-3 Elena, but Amara never worked for me. Though that's probably because the storyline was so awful. If they give her decent material, I'm sure Nina will be awesome as Tatia.

I expect we'll see her early in the season but I don't know about later on. Claire Holt has another series regular gig now so it might not give her a lot of time for guest appearances.

I sincerely hope the material is good enough, since I feel we kind of have this image or idea of Tatia ever since she was first brought up that perhaps we should go into this with lowered expectations. That's kind of the default now with these shows, I think.

I was pleasantly surprised by the announcement, not going to lie. I'm just hoping it's as good as we're anticipating it to be, if nothing else than to see Nina portray yet another doppelganger character and especially on a show that's not her own. :)

I quit The Originals and am exhausted with The Vampire Diaries, but news of Nina guest starring has me excited! I'm super curious about Tatia and her relationship to Klaus and Elijah (especially Elijah!) and Nina Dobrev rocks anything she's in, so. I'll probably just watch the single episode of The Originals that she's in. xD
