WHEN CASTIEL MET BUFFY
Nov. 11th, 2011 05:51 amThe details of his role seem to be good, he looks to be a critical aspect of the story between Bridget and Siobhan, so I'm hoping that his role is recurring rather than just a one-episode kind of deal. But regardless, I'm incredibly happy that he's getting other roles and is back in the auditioning circuit. This makes me hope that he'll be getting other guest-starring roles, like for instance I want Misha to make an appearance on Nikita, or perhaps The Vampire Diaries. I am still crossing my fingers for the possibility of Doctor Who.....
Essentially, I just want Misha to become the next Mark Sheppard. ^_^

Date: 2011-11-11 05:48 pm (UTC)I'm still bitter and angry about what the show has done to him by demoting him, and the disservice they did to Castiel's character as a whole. But I would rather Misha go off and do something and be successful in other workds, basically giving Sera Gamble and Co. the finger for losing a valuable asset to their cast.

Date: 2011-11-11 06:01 pm (UTC)(lol, yeah, even though I am no longer watching I still keep tabs on what is happening, and facepalming because wtf this is not "new" and "interesting" stuff for the show! They keep repeating the same bullshit with the brothers! With just added sexism and dumbing down the characters, and losing the majority of their viewers. Good job, show)

Date: 2011-11-11 08:28 pm (UTC)I thought the exact opposite, actually. :( That because it perhaps happened in the past, it was limited how much he could possibly appear. Once we find out whatever the thing was.
Unless Siobhan faked her death so she could run away with Misha the Russian spy. That show I would totally be on board with.

Date: 2011-11-12 06:54 pm (UTC)It ended with Sam and Dean talking about how Dean doesn't need to look after Sam like he's been doing his whole life and can look after himself now... which is great except that must be the millionth time they've had that conversation. It's like they live in a Möbius strip.
Why, why, why, why, why...

Date: 2011-11-12 10:05 pm (UTC)Yeah, this show has become so blatant redundant now it's ridiculous. Yet the showrunner doesn't think so, which is the most frightening thing of all.....

Date: 2011-11-13 10:04 am (UTC)I wonder though, why couldn't they deal with the angel/Heaven storyline considering that is a huge chunk of the mythology of the entire universe. And doesn't anime really enjoy those kinds of storylines anyway? I would love to see their rendition of S4 and some of S5 (perhaps they can have the proper ending for the series!) Granted, I'm biased, the show only got exciting for me once the angel storyline was introduced and I would love to see their version of the angels.
Of course, this is if they are ever intended on doing the rest of the series. I'm sure once they were licensed they were only told to do the generic S1 and S2 stories.

Date: 2011-11-13 02:53 pm (UTC)Seasons 1 and 2 had the most basic concept of the series. They may not have planned to do more, or it may have relied on ratings.
I made a post on my journal advertising and recommending the anime series recently, did you see?

Date: 2011-11-13 10:59 pm (UTC)If the anime were to do an extension of what they already did, they should definitely focus on the mythology introduced in S4 more than anything else, with minor (a.k.a. the non-faily) parts of S5 to be their final conclusion to the anime series. Those are just my thoughts, anyway. Granted since they add their own spin to the stories perhaps they could make it even better than how they actual show did it, lol.

Date: 2011-11-12 08:35 pm (UTC)As I do watch Ringer, I have to say the show is very interesting, but it might not be for everyone. It's kind of a soap opera Agatha Christie mystery and it starts off a bit rocky in the first few episodes, but it has been picking up. So unless that is your kind of show you might lose interest.

Date: 2011-11-13 09:58 am (UTC)(it makes you wonder why I even got into SPN in the first place. Honestly, it was mostly due to the mythology that drew me in, not the guys, I don't think I became fully obsessed with any male on that show until Misha/Castiel showed up, lol.)
