Make note that Bear McCreary's cover of the song makes it even more worthwhile too, which I highly recommend for everyone to listen because it's simply gorgeous. So many covers of it, which I also know how to semi-play on the piano as well, such a brilliant song with a personal attachment for anyone who comes across it. And you know, welcome our Cylon overlords and all of that. So say we all.

lol yeah that was my thought exactly when I saw the question. I'm not a huge Hendrix fan but I love this song. I love the Bear McCreary version aswell, always sends tingles up my spine, it was such an awseome BSG moment...

This song was definitely a defining moment for BSG. I remember just sitting there after the third season finale ended with my mouth hanging open going, OMGWHUT?! It's the perfect song fitted into the universe, and whenever I hear any rendition of it (be in Hendrix or Bob Dylan or otherwise) I think about how influential it was to BSG.

Just another thing to my long list of why I love BSG... ♥
