Make note that Bear McCreary's cover of the song makes it even more worthwhile too, which I highly recommend for everyone to listen because it's simply gorgeous. So many covers of it, which I also know how to semi-play on the piano as well, such a brilliant song with a personal attachment for anyone who comes across it. And you know, welcome our Cylon overlords and all of that. So say we all.

And then, I had the idea for a crossover fusion with SPN with Castiel and Lucifer as Cylons which is sad since the only things I know BSG come from reading wikipedia, seeing some clips online and reading slash!

I've had the fascination of a Terminator/SPN fusion, so that's just an amazing little thing right there. ;)

Dude, I've totally already had my personal connection that the Cylons from BSG and the angels in SPN are like two peas in a pod; similar and alike in so many ways possible, I cannot even begin to tell you. And having Castiel and Lucifer being Cylons? OMGYESPLZ. I APPROVE OF THIS FUSION HAPPENING! :D :D :D

lol yeah that was my thought exactly when I saw the question. I'm not a huge Hendrix fan but I love this song. I love the Bear McCreary version aswell, always sends tingles up my spine, it was such an awseome BSG moment...

This song was definitely a defining moment for BSG. I remember just sitting there after the third season finale ended with my mouth hanging open going, OMGWHUT?! It's the perfect song fitted into the universe, and whenever I hear any rendition of it (be in Hendrix or Bob Dylan or otherwise) I think about how influential it was to BSG.

Just another thing to my long list of why I love BSG... ♥
