Not cool, LJ.
Aug. 31st, 2010 07:30 pmSo. LiveJournal decided that they are no longer accepting "/" in their tags, which means everything in the tagging system for pairings and others including the forwardslash is completely nonfunctional, thus making things even harder to identify and locate.
NOT COOL ELJAY, NOT COOL AT ALL. FIX THIS ASAP OR FEEL THE WRATH OF MANY USERS.
*silently fumes at douchenozzles responsible*
ETA: It seems like this was an unintentional fluke and they are currently working on fixing it, so problem somewhat averted. Although many of the new features added seem to be of much annoyance, and rightfully so. Sometimes when they add something new it can be something I don't care for so I ignore it, but it seems like they keep adding new stuff that isn't really necessary and without options of turning it off and yeah, it's understandably annoying.

Date: 2010-09-02 04:37 am (UTC)They're attempting to fix the tags bit but everything else it seems like they're "compiling comments" (http://news.livejournal.com/129190.html?thread=87522726#t87522726) in order to make a decision on what needs to be changed when it's abundantly clear that nobody wants this feature. I think the main frustration for me is that they seem to update the site without really notifying us about what they're adding as new features. Wouldn't it be better if they were to ask people whether they wanted this feature in the first place, or anything else they try to update with? It seems rather inconsiderate.
