How come nobody told me of kpop_macros or even kpop_wank? Srsly. With the latter I usually read about the insanity over at certain forums and boards, often times wanting to smash something, but this is a great alternative without going through many pages of stuff concerning DBSK, SNSD or Super Junior (even though the comm hasn't been updated in a while, oh well). Makes me really glad to not be participating in these fandoms. Macros makes everything better though, yepyep.

As for the Twilight madness, I'm just sitting back with popcorn watching the insanity unfold even more. Scary as the fangirls are, I'm laughing at how offended they are about the ending of the series, much less ranting about how disappointment they are. Major LOLing over here. I am amused by their anger and outrage, it's quite funny. Honestly, what else would you expect from someone like SMeyer who likes pulling out shiny sparkling things from her ass and claiming it's the best thing ever? I'm just waiting for her to go all Anne Rice and respond to all those Amazon.com reviews. Or, something similar. Oh, this is going to be fun.

For the record, I'm only seeing the movie for teh ~*~sparkling vampires~*~ 'Cause if they don't sparkle, then there's no point. It's not like there's a major plot for me to be interested in or anything, so I want to be DAZZLED.

To top this all off: DR. HORRIBLE MY LITTLE PONIES!

People take it too seriously, which with someone like SMeyer she's either going to do something crazy or do something crazier with her works. Nothing she writes makes sense anyway, so why bother being offended with it? It makes for good mocking that's for sure. XD

I went to Borders tonight with several of my friends and a couple of their friends. The guy with us was asking about the Twilight series and the only girl with us who actually read all four books said that it isn't worth reading. I picked up Breaking Dawn and flipped through some of the pages. I felt like my IQ was dropping.

So I read the first book, promptly decided the thing was crap and have since relied on recaps and reviews. Of which, these (http://cleolinda.livejournal.com/2008/08/02/) are the best.

Seriously, the last book is just so squicky. And agenda-filled. And people thought HP ended disappointingly...

I freaking love how cleolinda manages to place together such a fantastic recap of the badness of the books and fandom in general. It makes it so worth reading up on that fandom, as batshit as it is. It's made of LULZ and wacky fun of sitting down, a mixture of headdesking and mockery and it's awesome. :D

ITA, I haven't even read a single page but reading what it's about? Holy crap, SMeyer really is bringing in the horribly bad trashy romance isn't she? Just, GAH!!! *scrubs brain*

i did actually read the first book and it felt like quite poor fanfiction, tbh! it was enjoyable though, just like bad fanfic can be enjoyable occasionally :D

It is definitely a badfic which somehow got published and is getting massively popular and unfortunately that's how some badfic is recieved by many in fandom. I'm LOLing though, because people do take it too seriously. Even the author, which frightens me.

What are the Twilighters complaining about? I don't know that much about the ending, but it seemed like the exact thing they wanted. I am still working on the first book (research reasons only :P)and the ending doesn't surprise me at all. At this point it almost seems like this is what has to happen.Hmmm...

I know, right? It's so predictable even from the first book because hello, the way SMeyer writes you'd have to expect something along those lines. People are just completely going off about things and it makes me giggle, since I've read people saying she'd butchered her characters and whatnot. It's like um, she did that by CREATING them in the first place.

It's still LOL worthy though how it's all going down. XD
