++ HOT DAMN SENDHIL RAMAMURTHY. He should do photoshoots more often. Seriously, for someone that ridiculously gorgeous it's kind of difficult to not consider making an entire editorial magazine dedicated to him. Just, boo to the watermarks and non-hi-res. I want to see the pretty, dammit!

Also, NBC has FINALLY released the S3 Mohinder Suresh wallpaper. About frakking time.

++ I'm absolutely obsessed with BoA's "Eat You Up" even though I have yet to actually hear the entire song. It hasn't been released yet, but I've been rewatching the teaser commercials for it, along with the "making of" which OMG, her English is too adorable for words! It's just so addictive and I'm just waiting for the entire song to be released so I can put it on repeat over and over and over. Same with Kuu's new single "TABOO" (which BTW, the PV is drop-dead sexy featuring girl/girl and guy/guy moments which involve Kumi as well, something that the U.S. should probably consider for their music videos Y/Y?). Super hot and sexy, both songs are in fact.

It'll be the last voyage for Battlestar Galactica as it goes into it's fourth and final season. As saddening as this news is, I think this is a smart decision.

Ron Moore has stated that he had definite plans for a beginning, middle and end for the series, and we're finally reaching that destination point. While some shows have absolutely no pre-planning in regards to storyline developments *cough*LOST*cough*, BSG went through all the necessary places, since their entire goal was to find Earth and since they're almost there, it seems like a perfect place to end. Many shows go through as many seasons as they can until the networks announce they've been cut off, so they'll have to wrap up things only within a few episodes. But Ron Moore pretty much knew all along that this is where it would be concluded, and that's what I love about Battlestar Galactica. Great acting from an amazing cast, solid storylines, mysteries and character development, kickass musical score, and overall intelligent writing. It'll be sad to see it go, but as Ron Moore promises, it'll definitely go out with a BIG Bang, which I'm really looking forward to seeing since this show always brings in the jaw-dropping surprises.

I've been watching Supernatural due to withdrawals since there's nothing left to look forward to now that almost all my fandoms have had their finales. I just finished rewatching "All Hell Breaks Loose" again because I want to torture myself and found some things interesting:

Hey, see if they got any pie. Bring me some pie! I love me some pie.... )

Oh, and Koda Kumi's newest song/PV "FREAKY" is seriously HOT. Like, whoa.

So, this Sunday isn't as excitingly eventful as I wished it would be, nevertheless I got some chores done around the house so that part feelings accomplished. I have to finish some Anatomy homework but otherwise, it's all about lounging about. Yesterday was Cinco de Mayo, and I hoped all those that celebrated had a nice time. Most of my afternoon and evening was spent overhearing the loud music some of our neighors were playing in celebration. Most people would've found it frustrating and a distraction, however I liked it. It added a little livelihood and spice to an otherwise quiet neighborhood, sans the lawnmowers and bitching crazy neighbors I have to deal with daily. It would've been annoying if they went deep into the night when I wasnted to sleep, but thankfully they didn't.

Time for a belated Friday Five meme, from [livejournal.com profile] fridayfiver:

Life is a precious gift hidden in disguise... )

Rec of the Day: Someone ([livejournal.com profile] mei_yanohi) created a Koda Kumi fanvideo: Want To Be Her (Kumi Mix). Set to the Peaches song, basically a compilation video of Kuu's sexiest moments of her PVs and, really, questioning and/or explaining why eveyone is infactuated with the gorgeous songstress. And really, who doesn't want to be her? Hee. it's a very nicely done fanvid, too.

Happy Easter Sunday to all those that celebrate it, either in a religious or non-religious sense. Wishing everyone the happiest and safest of days, of course why wouldn't it be that anyway? As for myself, spring break will officially be over come midnight tonight, for tomorrow I start up classes again. Which means I have a 15-page essay page due Tuesday and two midterms on Thursday and Friday. Feel the joy.

-♠- Scary Is Sexy: Other than the fact that there's a new Supernatural episode this Thursday, what could be more exciting than an actual novelization based off the series? Look no further, the first Supernatural novel has been written by none other than Keith R.A DeCandido (a.k.a. [livejournal.com profile] kradical), who most will recognize as he wrote the Serenity novelization. It's nothing new that popular television series have had book series based off of the creation, some that's a hit-or-miss and are debated as whether it's considered canon or not, but nevertheless this is exciting news for Supernatural fans as this is the first ever novel to arrive with more to come. The book is titled Evermore, and the cover looks hot. ALSO, for those unaware, there will be a Supernatural comic book series. Starting with: Supernatural Origins, Vol. 1, taking place between the years where John Winchester hunted the supernatural and trained Sam and Dean to do the same. It is scheduled for a May 2nd release, and already you can pre-order the second edition of the graphic novel, Supernatural Origins, Vol. 2.

-♠- Cap'n Tightpants Is Drivin'...: More recently there's been previews for Nathan Fillion's new FOX series, Drive. You can watch the preview here, and it actually looks pretty interesting. Let's just hope FOX has the nerve to not axe this prematurely before anything else. Amy Acker is also co-starring in the series, playing the wife of Nathan's character, the leading role of the series, who is kidnapped and he is "driven" to enter this race in order to rescue her. Official website.

-♠- Are You On The List?: There's an all new and extended trailer/preview for the return of Heroes on April 23rd. And yes, the trailer does include spoilers, so you have been forewarned. But nevertheless it looks freaking amazing.

-♠- The Songstress Kuu-Chan Does It Again: Koda Kumi has another PV out, though not exactly officially released like her previous ones. For her BEST ~2nd Session~ tour she performed the song "Love Goes Like..." with a video specifically created playing behind her. This is that video, which is featured on the BEST ~2nd Session~ DVD as a special featurette, I believe. Those who want to view the incredibly creative/dark/mysterious video, watch it here: "Love Goes Like...". There was another PV version of the song, featuring Kuu on a motorcycle and scenes of her on a silk bed covered with rose petals, but I haven't seen that anywhere else other than YouTube, however it was taken down.

To feed my cravings of music addiction, I've been having an overload of Kuu this passed week.

The lovely Koda Kumi has recently released two new PVs, from her latest album Black Cherry and from her latest single BUT/Aishou. This will be a total of three videos in the passed two weeks. "Aishou" is almost like a acoustic soft-rock ballad, and she sings very powerful at certain points. In the video itself she's dressed in a traditional Japanese kimono; there's been some discussion on whether she's being a maiko or geisha, though one of the most respectable answers of speculation I've read is that Kumi's portraying an Oiran, which were the highest class of courtesans. It's slow-sexy and seductive, and Kuu looks amazingly beautiful and elegant.

"Get Up&Move!!" is her brand new PV that has just been released (there hasn't even been a decent download link yet). Other have complained that she hasn't come out with a dance-oriented video in her wave of recent releases. Well, this kind of fulfills that wish, consider the appropriateness with the title of the song. Aside from the dancing, it's a simple video really. All it features is her and her backup dancers with a black background, then a white background, and some interchangeable images of different outfits. Not as creative as her passed PVs have been, but it's better than nothing and besides, it's Kuu for goodness sakes! She's pretty hot in it regardless, and that compliments with the song as well, and there's amazing dance moves, too. I use this, along with her other song "BUT", as part of my practice routines for dance.

I've placed the PVs underneath the cut for those interested in viewing them:

So get up & move your body, shake up yourself it's party! )

For some strange reason, I'm interested in seeing Black Snake Moan, partially due to curiosity over what it's all about and partially because it has Samuel L. Jackson and Christina Ricci, two particular actors you can never go wrong with, at least in my opinion. Justin Timberlake appears in it too, though I don't much care about that. Every time I see the previews for the movie I keep wondering, "why is Christina Ricci chained up by the waist?" After researching what it's about, my curiosity has increased. Though I'm betting some have doubts about it doing well, I might give it a chance; from some reviews I've read from others, they were pleasantly surprised of the outcome. Though I know opinions differ with each individual and their expectations, but this sounds like something I'm willing to try out for myself. Oh, and the trailer is hilarious, too. Especially when SLJ says, "Get yo' ass back in my house!" Hee, don't piss off motherfucking Samuel L. Jackson, fo'shizzle.

Rec of the Day: The Wreckoning, Niki/Jessica FanVid. I highly recommend this particular fanvideo because not only does it focus more on the Jessica personality than anything, but also because it's wonderfully edited, matching the clips with the music, the effects are beautifully timed and everything just...works. Jessica is lethal, psychotic and badass to the bone, and that's why I love her, and this video captures that aspect of that character perfectly.

Dude, what's with LJ being a bitch lately? They must be tweaking with something, and it's screwing with how things function. Hopefully they'll have to running smoothly soon (and by that, I mean this weekend). Though, what the frakking hell is up with the community searches? Okay, I understand the "last date updated" part, I don't have a problem with that. What I'm bothered with is how it's currently set up. All the updated communities are at the top of the list, which makes it very disorganized and messy. Perhaps it's just me, but I liked the alphabetical order it originally had been in. It was much easier to locate certain communities.

In other news that's fandomish, Koda Kumi finally has a PV for her newest song, "BUT"! It's different from her other videos, it has a unique style that definitely was influenced by Ayumi Hamasaki. I love this song, it's so upbeat and addictive, although some are disappointed that there was no choreography considering it has that kind of beat. I don't mind too much, though. Besides, her style is interesting and she's very beautiful in the video. Also, there's some subtle girl/girl action, which is not an uncommmon use for most of her PVs out there.

Experience the PV behind the cut.

Kumi's milkshake brings all the boys (and girls) to the yard )

My plans for the weekend are quite simple: practice dance routine and get ready for midterm in my dance class, watch Marie Antoinette, review the latest Heroes episode with possible speculations or theories, finish weekend homework while praying I did well on my Physiology exam.

Tonight is the final episode of Psych of its first season. I'm suddenly feeling sad.

February 25th, another edition of Fandomosity news. It's hard to believe that it's almost March already. Anyway, also a reminder that the new NBC drama The Black Donnellys will be premiering tomorrow after Heroes. So keep an eye out for that, it looks to be amazing according to many who have already previewed it.

-♠- Kaylee Travels Through The Stargate: You heard it right, Jewel Staite returns as a reoccurring character for 8-episodes of Stargate Atlantis. Her first appearance on the show she played a Wraith girl, completely unrecognizable unless you heard her voice. This time she's playing a completely different character.

-♠- Horror Island Massacre: In other Jewel Staite news, the official trailer for her upcoming horror flick, The Tribe, is now available. She just can't escape those cannibalistic Reavers, can she?

-♠- Lamb For The Win!: Michael Muhney talks about his thoughts of the latest VMars episode and other things, an yes, following the link there are BIG SPOILERS unless you haven't seen the "Mars, Bars" yet. You have been warned. For those who have seen it, come inside while I share the spoilerific thoughts ) Michael Muhney is made of awesome, especially after being named an honorary Browncoat and admitting to wanting to become a Cylon. Hee.

-♠- Queen Namie Sparkles & Shines: At first it was rumored but now it's confirmed, Namie Amuro will be featured with an "m-flo loves Namie Amuro" song on m-flo's new album, COSMICOLOR, as reported here. Other artists featured on their album will be Koda Kumi, Bonnie Pink, and melody. Also, Namie's BEST Tour ~Live Style 2006~ DVD is already out, which I'll probably soon purchase in the near future.

-♠- For The Love of Kuu: In a recent commercial, Koda Kumi is talking about her new single "BUT", which will be released on the same date as her new album, BEST: ~Bounce & Lovers~ (which isn't really a "new" album really, it's just the best of her ballads and only has a few new songs; but that's AVEX TRAX for you). It's also the promotional song for the film Step Up. You can hear the entire song with this YouTube preview; I really love this song, it's powerful, upbeat and danceable. Probably going to be the best new song of hers so far this year.

1. Changed default icon to Koda Kumi! Yay! I love Kuu, just as much as I love Namie. ~ ♥

2. The other day I was directed to a fantastic link: Tricia Helfer's appearance in Playboy (and someone posted non-scans from the magazine, in excellent quality). Advisory, because it is needed since it's Playboy: the pictures include nudity and adult content which may not be suitable for some people. For me, I simply adore this photoshoot; most people think that Playboy is mainly filled with pornographic material and tacky, however these are far from it. Tricia photographs beautifully, and the shots are quite artistic and tasteful with excellent lighting. I love the black-and-white shots, the best, adds more of that artistic-style. Also, it must be said that Tricia Helfer is a Goddess. End of story.

3. Hee, I finally realized that Doctor Who is airing on BBC America.

4. Spring semester starts on Tuesday, and thankfully it's the day where I have dance as the last class. Although it'll just be orientation, nothing with physical activity until Thursday. I have already started streching and warming up my muscles from the laziness over the holiday break, so my flexibility will be intact. Which reminds me, I need a freaking Ab Lounge, stat.

1. Holiday Love Meme, Secret Santa Style. So, here's my thread. I think this is a wonderful and excellent idea, given it's the holiday season. Plus as the end of the semester and finals are approaching and other hectic things happening around this time of the year for all of us, the appreciation and love is much needed.

2. Because it's December lots of my fandoms are going on a hiatus until the new year, which is somewhat depressing especially when getting into a fandom, but expected. So I'll be anxiously waiting and anticipating the new episodes for those, like Heroes which will be returning in late January. There will be one more episode of Criminal Minds and Medium before the new year, though I hear that Veronica Mars is going to be delayed some months before having new episodes. Oh, and let's not forget the return of Psych! I also have the Victoria's Secret Fashion Show of 2006 that aired on Tuesday to watch, there's always fun with that. But I will be dealing with other things like last-minute holiday preparations and studying for finals while waiting for the return of my shows.

3. Why does LiveJournal continue to make things difficult? The frequent malfunctions are getting ridiculous. *gives death glare*

4. Koda Kumi has another gorgeous commercial that was recently released, not only promoting the GemCerey necklace, but her song from her upcoming album, "Tsuki to Taiyou". The necklace can be seen on the GemCerey official website, and believe me that would be the ultimate present because it is just so damn beautiful, and very elegant.

Happy Thanksgiving!

Finally it's the extended weekend because of the holidays, which means catching up on what's been happening in fandom. Not to mention sleeping in and rejuvenating after these long weeks. Plus, December is just around the corner and that means Christmas season has arrived; tomorrow being Black Friday, it's going to be hell even to attempt to buy groceries. This is why I'm avoiding going out tomorrow, no matter what the circumstances may be.

Criminal Minds 2.10 - 'Lessons Learned', and my thoughts on the episode )

Medium 3.03 - 'Be Kind, Rewind' Mini-Review )

Recommendation of the Day: Koda Kumi - Cherry Girl PV. The brand music video from the lovely Kuu-chan; the song is unlike anything I've heard from her before, and that's not necessarily a bad thing. It's a very addictive song, love her vocals, and the PV is pretty to look at.
