Hear the Wilderness....
Oct. 12th, 2025 05:29 pm++ Yellowjackets to end after its fourth season. Honestly, I expected as much considering that it seems like the story is near towards the end anyway, so this news isn't surprising.
Since the third season finale gave us the answers as to how the girls ended up as seen in the pilot episode's mysterious prologue, along with confirmation that Natalie got in contact with someone from the outside to help save them, it's a matter of seeing what happens in between then and when they get rescued which will no doubt circle back to what is happening in the current day adult storyline which, admittedly, I'm not particularly fond of. I'm far more interested in the teen wilderness storyline because at least that has remained fairly consisted and the strongest part of the show throughout the seasons. How they plan on wrapping things up, I don't know. Whatever happens it'll be interesting to see regardless.
++ A/B/O Desire just concluded and I just have one thing to say: We deserved more Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang scenes, not just with them getting a proper kind of closure but also in general for the last few episodes where they were barely in it. I know the drama mostly focused on Hua Yong and Sheng Shaoyou's developing relationship, but if nothing else both storylines needed equal screentime and to have resolution to their respective stories. I haven't yet read the novel the drama is based on so I only go by the information from those who have, and the drama did expand upon Gao Tu and Shen Wenlang's story, if only they had gone the extra mile to give us a bit more in the finale.
This is, of course, the curse of getting attached to the secondary couple. If we lived in an ideal world there would be at least a little special mini episode or two featuring this proper kind of closure with the characters. Oh well, that's what fanfic is for, I suppose. With that being said, this drama was absolutely unhinged in the best possible way. Having an actual canonically explicit Omegaverse story on my screen is just so surreal and I'm happy that it happened. Pit Babe was the start, but Desire really took it there and I'm forever grateful that they did that.
