My Comments: While I haven't watched Yellowjackets yet, that hasn't stopped me from looking at fanworks from the show including fanvids. This one is dedicated entirely to Lottie Matthews, mainly during the teen timeline of the first season. Lottie is the character that I grew attached to based on what I've been seeing. Her arc is just so fascinating to me and I'm immediately drawn to her, and this fanvid, set to Halsey's "Castle", is beautifully edited to show her journey and transformation in the first season alone.

I am fascinated by this show, because of all the buzz I've heard about it. I know we have a couple seasons at the library, so I could theoretically watch it if I wanted to. However, I heard someone kills a dog early on, and that put me off it.

Yeah, I'd say the show isn't for the faint of heart since there are numerous animal deaths (and human deaths, along with cannibalism). Although the dog death, which happened in the adult storyline, isn't graphically shown we see the disturbing aftermath via a ritualistic display. As far as I know, there's been no direct answer as to who was responsible, just that the scene itself was intentionally meant to be shocking.

It's kind of why I tend to want to stick with the wilderness storyline a bit more, because at least there it's understandable why they hunt and kill animals as a form of survival.

Honestly, the rest of it does sound right up my alley. I love the whole wilderness concept, and how unhinged everyone seems, including killing wild animals to survive. But I just have a thing about dogs, lol. Maybe if I looked up exactly where that scene/episode happens and skipped it, I'd be fine.
