Hallowed Be Thy Ween.
Nov. 1st, 2024 05:32 pm++ One of the best things about Halloween, aside from everything, is how some websites tend to celebrate with their own thing. Google did theirs with the adorable wizard cat game once again, and Tumblr surprised many by bringing back the Boop-o-Meter they did for April 1st, this time making it a BOOp-o-Meter where the cat paws either were a mummy, skeleton, or ghost. I booped so many people, mutuals and strangers alike, and I finally got the grand achievement that I didn't get the last time by maxing out my boops! By the end, I ended up having the meter read "OMG" (for given) and "MAX" (for received). I'm pretty proud of myself. Is it silly? Well yeah, but we need a little silly and whimsy.

01. Do you celebrate or observe Halloween? How?
I celebrate in spirit, such as watching horror movies and I enjoy seeing the Halloween sections in stores, looking at all the different lawn decorations in neighborhoods. I just adore the vibe. I used to do trick-or-treating when I was younger, though not as often, and it kind of stopped around middle school age. However I have always loved Halloween and as an adult I do want to make more of an effort to do more, like, go all out.
02. What is your favorite Halloween candy?
I don't think I really had one? I'm just going to say anything chocolate (M&Ms, chocolate bars, etc), which is my go-to for anything candy related.
03. Do you get trick-or-treaters on Halloween?
Not really. It's been rather quiet over recent years.
04. Do you enjoy dressing up in costumes?
YES. Very much so. :) Sadly, I didn't dress up this year because I wasn't feeling well, and I didn't really have much of a plan of what I wanted to be.
05. What is your favorite Halloween memory?
Going trick-or-treating with my cousins in their neighborhood dressed as my own version of Clarissa Darling from Clarissa Explains It All (with a mixture of Sabrina the Teenage Witch), and accidentally saying "Happy Halloween" instead of "trick or treat" at one house. This was the Halloween where I was introduced to I Know What You Did Last Summer, too.
++ When it comes to Asian dramas, particularly cdramas, so far what I've been seeing flooding my Tumblr dash is Fangs of Fortune (which is about demons, not vampires sadly, at least I still got sexy vampire daddy in Snowfall for that to watch still), and that drama looks absolutely gorgeous with the cinematography and lighting. The other drama is Kill Me, Love Me, which so far what I've seen features a lot of whump and a lot of biting, and again, gorgeous cinematography. That one just became available on Netflix. And yet another drama just caught my eye recently called Love Game in Eastern Fantasy, a transmigration drama starring Esther Yu where her character, after attempting to write a negative comment about the ending of a webnovel, is sucked into the story as the villainous side character. Based on what little I've seen, it looks funny and Esther is adorable.
