++ Speaking of books, Francine Pascal recently passed away. She was known primarily as the author of the Sweet Valley High books, however I mostly know her for writing the Fearless book series when I was a teenager. I have the entire series and I treasure them. Gaia Moore was quite an inspirational character for me.

++ Apparently there was supposed to be a new Battlestar Galactica series in development on Peacock that supposedly connected with the 2003 series, but that project has recently reported to be axed, with claims that they are "shopping it around" to other outlets. This was the first I had heard of this even happening, since the only thing that I recall was the movie reboot that has long been in development for years, which as far as I know is unfortunately still going forward. There was no further information that I could find other than this new series was going to be in continuity with Ronald D. Moore's BSG, which quite frankly I would be on board with if there were more details on what this project would've entailed, such as the story, the vibe, where was it taking place and when, etc. All of this kind of matters if you're pitching this being in the continuity of the re-imagined reboot.

Better yet, just get Ronald D. Moore back and we can do a continuity series proper. Give me Caprica 2.0, dammit. Let us explore the different worlds of the Twelve Colonies, or let us explore Kobol prior to the events of the series, or even Original Earth! I can even imagine having some of the cast returning, too, if this were to be the case.

++ So while I'm currently on a Meet You At The Blossom high, I've been seeing things with a new cdrama called Snowfall, which is a Republican Era vampire story. Just based on what little I've seen that comes across my Tumblr dash, I'm intrigued. It's a vibe and very aesthetically pleasing, in more ways than one. That will be yet another drama to check out in the near future, for sure.

Oh bummer...I had heard about this project. This might actually have made me hold onto my Peacock subscription!

And ugh I hope the reboot movie fails...I mean obviously reboots can sometimes be great (like the BSG series we love), but that was great enough to not need another one anytime soon.

I never read Fearless, but I remember those books.

I was into Sweet Valley.

I was more into Sweet Valley Twins. Honestly, the SVH books seem to have been very soap opera-y. Not to knock Francine Pascal at all, clearly that worked for a lot of people, it just wasn't my thing. One of my friends was obsessed with the books, though. I was more vanilla than her.

Aw, I did hear of her passing. I remember reading some of the Sweet Valley High books back in the day.

Oh sad about Francine Pascal. I read a lot of her books as a kid and did read that 6 part Sweet Valley reboot a decade or so ago.

I'd be into more Caprica - so sad that one got cancelled before it found it's audience as it was really coming together in an interesting way.

I didn't hear about Francine Pascal and hadn't realized she was in her 90s, though considering how old some of those books are, it makes sense. I was really into all the Sweet Valley books when I was younger.
