I'm doing the [community profile] snowflake_challenge out of order and perhaps not all of the prompts, as I usually do sometimes. Aside from the first two challenges that I already did, I kind of waited a bit for it to finish before I could go about participating. The #15 challenge is essentially a fandom version of the Spotify Wrapped, and in a way it's sort of a shorthand version of the end of the year fandom meme.

Top 5 Fandoms in 2023

01. Beyond Evil
02. Dimension 20 / Dropout.tv
03. The Last Of Us
04. The various cdramas that I'm still fixating over (The Untamed, Word of Honor, Guardian, Detective L, Heaven Official's Blessing, etc), along with revisiting older fandoms during the latter half of the year.
05. Luo Yunxi. Technically not a fandom but a person, since while I haven't actually watched anything he's been in to their entirety I have been introduced to him this year (and waiting the long wait for Immortality to come out of censorship limbo), but it's been a delight nonetheless.

My Top 5 Fandom Spaces in 2023

01. Tumblr -- for the pretty, the gifsets, the graphics, the fanart. I've been there since 2011 and while not as interactive on a personal level it certainly has its perks of fannish activity and has introduced me to many newer fandoms.
02. Dreamwidth -- online journaling has been my biggest fandom place since the LJ days, it's my way of writing and expressing my thoughts and interacting with others that I cannot do in any other spaces. I love making posts and comments, adding to discussions and just squeeing alongside other people here about a wide range of interests.
03. YouTube -- mainly for watching shows and movies that are available there, especially Asian dramas, and TTRPG actual plays such as Critical Role.
04. Archive Of Our Own (AO3) -- reading fanfiction, pretty self-explanatory
05. Reddit -- a place where I had once avoided, now I find myself going there to at least look at some of the updates regarding media and entertainment. It's less fannish and more informative, although it just depends on the subreddit.

My Top 5 Things I Contributed To Fandom in 2023

01. Fanvid Fridays, my way of recommending and showing appreciation of the fanvids, past and present, that I've watched and enjoyed over the years and giving recognition to some of the amazingly talented vidders in the fandom community. I love sharing them and giving my thoughts on the fanvids themselves, and hopefully introduce some people into something they weren't familiar with.

02. Participated in some discussions on fandom communities, which I plan on doing more of because I have missed that energy and vibe so much.

My Top 5 Most Appreciated Fandom Contributions in 2023

This one kind of stumps me, so I'm not entirely sure how to answer it.

My Fandom Personality in 2023: I'm also not quite certainly how to answer this, so I'm just going to say just a chill laidback fangirl who remained comfortably in her own little bubble and enjoyed the things that made her happy while ignoring all of the other fandom drama nonsense that was happening around her.

In 2023, I discovered: Reddit isn't all that bad, it just depends on where you go and not all subreddits are run the same.

My fandom home in 2023 was: When it comes to websites, Dreamwidth and Tumblr. In general, my own mind and imagination, mostly to combat the other intrusive things happening with my brain to keep myself preoccupied and distracted.

Also, [community profile] snowflake_challenge is hosting a friending meme.
