Date: 2020-02-28 09:58 pm (UTC)The development of Birkhoff was probably something I wasn't expecting, because his character was pretty much introduced to basically be the Division lackey, but then season two happened and all of that changed. It was such a 180, and I appreciated that because I ended up loving what they did with his character. Also, I loved how lovingly teasing Nikita was with him too in the beginning of that new dynamic, the "aww Nerd, you're lonely! you saved us because you missed us" and him trying to deny it. That was cute.

Date: 2020-02-28 10:05 pm (UTC)And yes, loved everything about the Nikita and Birkoff relationship, they had some really great scenes once he started working with them. Another one that stands out is when Nikita says ‘I’m the muscle’ when he’s doing that deal with his savings *g*

Date: 2020-02-29 01:21 am (UTC)I didn’t hate them together or anything, but it definitely felt like fan pandering imo and not very organic, especially after how much deeper his connection had been with Nikita over the course of the series. The whole Owen becoming ‘Sam’ thing wasn’t really my favourite plot line anyway tbh!
