Where you lead, I will follow.
Oct. 24th, 2015 06:11 pmAfter all the teasers, we finally get the first official trailer for Jessica Jones. I know nothing about Jessica Jones aside from what I read off from the wiki page, but the Netflix series looks absolutely amazing. It has a fantastic solid cast from what I can tell, and I love the concept of mind control being the biggest threat. It looks so good, I can't wait to watch it when it finally comes out.
The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer also came out the other day, and I'm impressed with how it gets everyone excited without revealing anything about what the plot of the movie is going to be about. While I have never been that much of a Star Wars fanatic, I did grow up watching the original trilogy and this new movie had the old school feel. I love the merging of the newer generation of characters and the older, I love that this trailer focuses on lot on Rey and Finn, and overall it gives a sense of optimism and anticipation of what this new film will bring to the Star Wars cinematic universe. Again, I've never been that huge on this franchise, but I'll be damned if I don't go see this in December, if not opening day then opening weekend for sure.
Gilmore Girls may be getting a four-episode revival on Netflix. Considering that most fans will agree that the sixth and seventh seasons were incredibly rough for multiple reasons, this could go either way depending on how well it's done. The only things I want to remain intact are Rory still being career-driven (one of the things I liked about the series finale is her refusing Logan's marriage proposal in order to focus on her future) and for Lorelai and Luke to still be together and remain together. That is all I care about. Regardless, just the notion that we may be returning to Star's Hollow again is quite a treat, with all these characters coming back together again, sans Richard Gilmore, sadly. I think we've all imagined how Lorelai would be with things like social media, how would Luke deal with all the advancements of modern technology, how Rory would be with eBooks, and stuff like that. It'd be wonderful to return see how these characters have grown and changed since we last saw them.

Date: 2015-10-25 10:14 pm (UTC)Speaking of, considering that we'll never get a Black Widow movie franchise, I'm hoping that with this trend that somewhere down the line we'll be getting a Netflix series in the near future. *crosses fingers*
