After all the teasers, we finally get the first official trailer for Jessica Jones. I know nothing about Jessica Jones aside from what I read off from the wiki page, but the Netflix series looks absolutely amazing. It has a fantastic solid cast from what I can tell, and I love the concept of mind control being the biggest threat. It looks so good, I can't wait to watch it when it finally comes out.

The new Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer also came out the other day, and I'm impressed with how it gets everyone excited without revealing anything about what the plot of the movie is going to be about. While I have never been that much of a Star Wars fanatic, I did grow up watching the original trilogy and this new movie had the old school feel. I love the merging of the newer generation of characters and the older, I love that this trailer focuses on lot on Rey and Finn, and overall it gives a sense of optimism and anticipation of what this new film will bring to the Star Wars cinematic universe. Again, I've never been that huge on this franchise, but I'll be damned if I don't go see this in December, if not opening day then opening weekend for sure.

Gilmore Girls may be getting a four-episode revival on Netflix. Considering that most fans will agree that the sixth and seventh seasons were incredibly rough for multiple reasons, this could go either way depending on how well it's done. The only things I want to remain intact are Rory still being career-driven (one of the things I liked about the series finale is her refusing Logan's marriage proposal in order to focus on her future) and for Lorelai and Luke to still be together and remain together. That is all I care about. Regardless, just the notion that we may be returning to Star's Hollow again is quite a treat, with all these characters coming back together again, sans Richard Gilmore, sadly. I think we've all imagined how Lorelai would be with things like social media, how would Luke deal with all the advancements of modern technology, how Rory would be with eBooks, and stuff like that. It'd be wonderful to return see how these characters have grown and changed since we last saw them.

I can't wait for the new Star Wars film! So far it looks really great, though I'm trying not to get my hopes up.

I'm so excited about the Gilmore Girls revival!! :D

I'm remaining cautiously optimistic, myself, since we've been burned before with the prequels, and I know some people weren't incredibly happy with J.J. Abrams' Star Trek reboot and are worried about what he may do with the new Star Wars movie. At the same time, I honestly do want this to succeed and already the excitement levels are through the roof about seeing the old cast members merging with the newer generation of characters. So, here's to hoping!

I hear you there. I don't know anything about the Jessica Jones comics, but I saw the preview for the series and it looks amazing. I'll def be catching it!

I thought the Jessica Jones trailer looked amazing too! I'm always really drawn to anything with a female lead, and I especially liked that the main theme seemed to be about a woman regaining agency and reclaiming control of her own life.

I like how it's quite dark, much darker than what we usually see in regards to Marvel. And reading up on Jessica Jones in general makes me very intrigued. Since Netflix has done well with their Daredevil series, I'm excited to see how Jessica Jones does. :)

As someone who's never watched either Star Wars or Gilmore Girls (yes, I know) I feel so left out these days with everyone being so excited, lol.

I thought the Jessica Jones trailer was great though! I know nothing about Jessica Jones either, but the trailer definitely made me want to check out the series when the time comes :)

Too bad we don't have Netflix and I have to wait for Netflix shows to come out on Blu-Ray. Still looking forward to Daredevil and Sense8.

I don't know much about Jessica Jones either except from waht's in the trailer or what I've seen online and I'm honestly really excited. And so excited about the Star Wars trailer. I love what you said about the trailer, because I think that's exactly it. It has a sense of optimism and anticipation of what the new film will bring to the universe and it also doesn't say that much about the plot. It's funny, because I only really watched the Star Wars movies this past summer so I'm really hyped about this now. I can't believe I never watched the movies before...

Regarding Gilmore Girls, I'm with you. At the one hand I'm excited we'll be getting more, but I also don't like what they did with the last two seasons so I'm also dreading it a bit. At the same time, they only get four episodes so I think that having that might be a very good thing for this show.

Jessica Jones looks amazing. Daredevil was too dark and gritty for me, and it's not like Jessica Jones doesn't look dark, but it does in a different way that works better for me.

I am soooooooo freaking excited for more Gilmore Girls but I swear on Lucifer if they don't have Luke and Lorelai still together I will find some bitched and then cut them! lol I sort of want her to have little luke and lorelai's running around their feet! Or she could be pregnant!

I know next to nothing about Jessica Jones but the trailer makes it seem like the show will be really good. I love how much darker this side of the Marvel verse is willing to go.

I'm the same. There are so few female-fronted shows where it centers and focuses entirely on their story, especially when it comes to superhero stories. The only other woman-centric story we've gotten of that genre has been Agent Carter, but Jessica Jones is the first woman superhero that we'll be seeing (aside from Supergirl, that is), and her story looks intriguingly dark and it has me entirely pumped.

Speaking of, considering that we'll never get a Black Widow movie franchise, I'm hoping that with this trend that somewhere down the line we'll be getting a Netflix series in the near future. *crosses fingers*

The thoughts of a Gilmore Girls revival is exciting! It's been so long since I watched the show. But I still remember the things I loved about it. Lorelai and Luke's love for one. How Rory was always a smart kid from the start. All of the strong friendships. Takes me back to the teenage feels.

If you're interested on checking them out, I do recommend seeing them when you get the chance. They're two entirely different things, of course, with one being an iconic science fiction franchise and the other being a fast-paced witty lighthearted emotionally charged kind of show. But both are worth looking into, should you want to in the near future. ;)

That trailer has me so intrigued. I've seen Krysten Ritter in many other things before, and she seems to be the perfect fit for this role. I'm fascinated to see the direction the series goes.

We do seasonal marathons every so often, or watch it whenever it appears on syndicated reruns. But the show does hold a lot of happy feelings whenever it's on. I got into the show a little bit late, but it's still a delight nevertheless. I love the friendships, the mother and daughter relationship between Lorelai and Rory, the UST between Luke and Lorelai and how adorable they are, the friendly and wacky citizens of Stars Hollow, the fast-paced dialogue. It's such a wonderful show to marathon. Having a revival, if nothing more than to just do a little catching up on what these characters have been up to over the years since we last saw them, would be fantastic. :)

It's one of the things I like about this setup of having these series be on Netflix, since they allow them to go as dark as they want and it's pretty awesome not to have the typical restrictions you usually get with the Marvel movies or other cable networks. I think for such stories it works perfectly to give more time to show the darker, more emotional sides of these characters rather than merely go for the flashy special effects and fighting sequences.

This is why I'm hoping that, should this become a regular thing with Marvel, that they do a Black Widow series on Netflix, since I highly doubt they'll have a movie franchise for her anytime soon.

Seriously. One of the biggest mistakes ever done on the show was having them break up (and for Lorelai to get back with Christopher, who I absolutely despise) and not be together for the longest time until finally reuniting and coming back together at the last minute in the series finale. I honestly hope that the revival series will learn from the mistakes the show made during its last couple of seasons and that it will make the fans happy. Considering they're planning to have only four 90 minute episodes, they can't fuck it up that badly, but then again you never know. Hopefully that won't be the case, otherwise so many fans are going to be rightfully furious.

Perhaps it's the difference of having a female-fronted show? So often we see dark and gritty stories centering around male characters, but this is something surrounding a woman's story so the darker aspects will probably be a little different.

I really like how Star Wars transcends generations, like the universe just continues on, whether it's with the expanded universe or a new set of movies every so years. And it doesn't matter whether you grew up with the original or you just started getting into it, it's something for everyone to enjoy. It's honestly incredibly awesome, imho.

Considering that the extreme amount of executive meddling during those last two seasons, I think having the revival on Netflix with the original creator and showrunner might be the best chance of fixing the wrongdoings that happened late in the show. At least, I'm hoping so.

Even if it's a longer wait for those who don't have Netflix (so you miss the excitement with everyone else), I like that they do eventually release their shows on DVD/BluRay.

It's great that we're having another Marvel show with a female lead, since they suck at it in terms of movies. I think the main difference is that DD has raw physical violence, while the darkness here is mind control, which appeals more to me.

The thing that confused me the most was that the Lorelai/Chris thing didn't actually do anything for them, it didn't do a thing but derail the flow of the season. I found it so confusing. :/

Black Widow's story is definitely more suited to Netflix. They wouldn't be able to do it justice without an R rating, which is always risky in the superhero genre. But if they can get Deadpool to succeed, you never know.

I also liked Jessica Jones trailer! I'm currently watching Daredevil and if Netflix keeps up the good work they did in Daredevil I know Jessica Jones will be also amazing!

In Finland, one of the channels has been airing all the Star Wars movies because of the new movie. Every Sunday for 6 weeks. Tomorrow will be the last. It's so nice since I was planning on watching them again earlier this Autumn. :D
But I haven't watched any trailers except the very first teaser/trailer that ever came out :D It's been very hard not to watch them but I wanna see everything for the 1st time when I go to see it on the theater.

If they're successful with things like Daredevil and Jessica Jones, I can foresee them trying to adapt other Marvel stories as well, since there are some that most likely won't ever be seen in the film franchises, and those stories will probably be better told in an episodic format than confined in a movie storyline.

It's good that you're keeping yourself spoiler-free! Sometimes it's better to go into something blind without any certain expectations attached. :)

I'm remaining optimistically hopeful that it'll be good. I know there has been disappointment overtime with the prequels and how they didn't live up to the hype and excitement that people had with them, but this looks absolutely wonderful. But again, trailers are meant to entice us, so we'll keep our fingers crossed that everything will be good with this new SW movie.
