++ There are still a few more days left for my AMA meme, in case anyone hasn't asked a question but would like to.

++ Marriage equality has officially been legalized across the United States. I had just previously mentioned the amount of progression within these last ten years or so regarding marriage equality and recognizing the rights within the LGBT+ community, and while the latter still has ways to go, the fact that marriage equality has finally been ruled legal across the nation is such an overwhelming feeling. Although it is somewhat bittersweet since there will be some states where, despite this Supreme Court ruling, it will still be perfectly legal, due to their individual state laws, to openly discriminate and where homophobia and hate crimes will continue to happen. That is something that needs to be fixed and worked on with those individual states alone, so anyone who does live in those places please remain safe. But nevertheless, don't let that damper anyone's spirits since we've seen what kind of progression is possible. This is such a historical moment for our country and society as a whole. It's about damn time, too! Definitely a victory worth celebrating. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

++ "Girls Like Girls" by Hayley Kiyoko has been making the rounds, and not only is the sound super catchy, but the video itself is like a mini-movie. The ending definitely got me, I wasn't expecting that. I highly recommend it. Also, trivia: the singer, Hayley Kiyoko, played the minor character of Stevie on Wizards of Waverly Place. Where I kinda shipped her and Alex, interestingly enough.

++ The Saturn Awards happened last night and not only did Hannibal win three awards (for Best TV Series, Best Actor and Best Supporting Actor), but Richard Armitage won for Best Supporting Role in The Hobbit: The Battle of the Five Armies. HE FINALLY GETS RECOGNIZED FOR HIS TALENTED WORK AS THORIN! AND HIS FIRST EVER AWARD TO WIN! I AM SO PROUD OF HIM! Plus, HE WORE A FLOWER CROWN AT THE EVENT presented to him by those with Hannibal, since it was a running gag amongst the cast for the fans to get everyone to wear flower crowns, to which since Richard is now part of that family he has finally donned his own, and appropriately so after such a successful night at this event. (◕‿◕✿)

++ I just feel really happy right now, honestly. And not just with all this good news too, although it contributed a lot to it. ♥ ♥ ♥

We've come such a long way, overcoming obstacles and fighting this fight for decades and small victories, and it has finally paid off. So, so happy. :)

Seriously, just when you think he couldn't get anymore adorable, he ends up proving us wrong every single time. Especially through things like Twitter. Bless him. (◕ω◕✿)

I honestly cannot wait to see him as Francis Dolarhyde. He is going to be so fantastic in the role.

We've come such a long way, it's unbelievable to imagine that just ten years ago this wasn't even considered a possibility to reach all fifty states within a decade. And now we're here. :)

I'm loving that Girls Like Girls video! Now I want a full-length film version.

I was just thinking that it would be a perfect setup for a short film, and one that would hopefully end happily and not tragically. Like, the ending of the video where the girl is riding her bike and she is smiling, that is a perfect way of ending a story like that. :)

Richard with a flower crown is such an adorable sight <3 (and what makes it more interesting is that I just read a Thilbo fanfic where Bilbo keeps on making Thorin FLOWER CROWNS DAMN IT.)

Oh man, I've read quite a handful of fics where Thorin wears flower crowns. Most of them by Bilbo, of course, but I remember there was one where little adorable hobbit children made one for him and he wore it proudly while walking through the Shire being surrounded by wee hobbit bbys and Bilbo was so delighted by the sight. Basically, I love any Bilbo/Thorin story that features flower crowns. (◕ω◕✿)

And seeing Richard actually (finally) wearing one fills me with so much joy. He looks so gorgeous and adorable at the same time. ♥

Great results for Hannibal, I hope this helps the chances of Netflix picking it up

Actually, I read an interview where Bryan Fuller mentions his reasons why he wouldn't want the show to go to Netflix (http://www.vulture.com/2015/06/bryan-fuller-on-hannibals-cancellation-season-four.html?mid=twitter_vulture), which is understandable. With there being a 50/50 chance of the show getting picked up, I'm just hoping that someone gives this show another season, since reading up on what Bryan Fuller has planned I really want to see the outcome.

I agree with what you said. We have a lot of work to do still but what a wonderful thing to celebrate! It was legal in my state last year but we still had two attempts to reverse it. Now it doesn't matter. YAY!

So glad you're feeling happy right now! <3 That's always good to hear.

I love seeing all the updates about couples now getting married and not afraid that their license will be revoked when they travel to another state. Even though I know certain states will try to do anything to prevent this from happening (like Mississippi is now refusing to issue any and all marriage licenses in protest which, lol wtf) and other obstacles along the way, it's still so amazing seeing that marriage equality has finally been made legal everywhere in the US. We've come such a long way, and seeing the payoff is absolutely gratifying.

Just the progression since the early 00s of having states legalize same-sex marriage is remarkable in and of itself, and knowing that the fight has taken even longer to get to this point is unbelievable. ♥

I've been seeing articles and pictures of people finally getting married to those they have been denied to for so long, even elderly couples, and it's just so beautiful and amazing. What a time to live through. ♥

It's wonderful news that marriage equality is legal in the USA. It's been legal for a while in Canada. And it's legal in Ireland too! Go world for becoming more accepting!

That's exciting that Richard Armitage won a Saturn Award! I'm very happy about that!

Mexico had some success recently (http://globalvoicesonline.org/2015/06/28/homosexual-couples-in-mexico-win-another-victory-against-discrimination/), as well. Seeing this amount of progression worldwide makes me so happy. :)

I'm so proud of him! He deserves it. ♥

Me too! I was so pissed with the conclusion with her character, I felt that Stevie was on something re: the archaic system of the wizard competition and it would've been such an interesting arc to have with Stevie and Alex teaming up to kind of challenge and change that system. But of course, it was the Disney Channel, so they couldn't have anything that deep involved with their own show. So why not just make her seem "evil" and then casually murder her instead! Haha, isn't that just hilarious! Ugh.

(Sorry, I have many feelings about this.)
