++ Apparently SaveHannibal was trending (again) on Twitter the other day because it seems that CBS has picked up the Silence of the Lambs spin-off with Clarice. It's just very odd when it comes to rights over characters, because Bryan Fuller wasn't given permission to use Clarice in Hannibal, and it seems this spin-off isn't going to even have Hannibal Lector in it at all. Either way, this was a great time to be reminded just how amazing Hannibal was, how NBC were cowards and fools for cancelling it after three seasons, how homoerotic Will/Hannibal was, how grotesquely beautiful and deliciously fucked up the show was as a whole. I miss it.

++ They released bloopers from The Expanse fourth season, and I just love this cast so much. I not only love them and this show, I also love how much they love working on this show. ❤

++ I just recently watched a video essay talking about M*A*S*H*, specifically discussing its important influence, how it was both a product of its time as well as being ahead of its time, and how it's relevance is still felt to this day. It's an hour long video so it's something you'd need time to sit down and watch, but I adored how the person put it together, talking about specific episodes and moments and messages/themes present throughout its run, and why even the the show it its issues and problems it actually grew up and attempted to rectify the things they represented, not perfectly but the effort was there nonetheless. I didn't watch M*A*S*H* until much later in life, but it's a show that is still incredibly relevant that I feel most would appreciate it.

++ Midsommar is an upcoming horror movie by the director of Hereditary, and I'm already curious and enthralled by it. One of the things I like about A24 trailers is that they give off unsettling atmospheric vibes without revealing anything of the plot. I also love it when horror goes bright and vibrant instead of the typical dark/gritty route often seen, so automatically I was intrigued by that direction this film seems to be going for. Plus it has Chidi from The Good Place, so.

++ There are apparently plans for Saw to be rebooted which...I do not want, to be honest. First of all, while people's opinions about the quality of the franchise vary, I still enjoyed it for what it was. And at this point it's basically considered a classic in its own right, and it is well-deserved. I even liked the recent Jigsaw movie despite some of its retconning. Secondly, rebooting for the sake of rebooting and banking off from something popular is just tired, old and lazy at this point. The Saw franchise has become quite a classic among horror fans that even attempting an reboot this early is out of the question, especially since you cannot replace the genius that is Tobin Bell as John Kramer. If nothing else, they should just continue what they were doing with Jigsaw because I am curious about some things that were in the movie, which could actually lead into a whole other connecting franchise altogether. Plus, the only way I would ever accept a remake, or a retelling of sorts, is if it was done by someone like Jordan Peele, because I feel like he would actually do justice with a fresh and interesting take on the story. But otherwise, leave this franchise alone.

++ Bryan Fuller recently tweeted a confirmation that they're still wanting/hoping to continue with Hannibal for a fourth season, they're just waiting for the right network/service to come along and support them. I know that this has been an ongoing discussion for a while about him wanting to still do a fourth season, but with revivals happening all the time to continue series that have been long cancelled (see: Veronica Mars, as someone pointed out) it is not out of the realm of possibility for it to become a reality. And with Hannibal still being praised as a television series and fans still being active, hopefully someone out there will take that chance. Just not Netflix, please.

++ Speaking of, we finally have a teaser trailer for the third and final season of Jessica Jones. It's incredibly short, but it looks like it's going for S1 vibes, and I'm here for it.

This is all I ever wanted for you, Will. For both of us. )

Hannibal may not have been a show for everyone, but it was definitely a show that was worth praising in many aspects of its filming, the writing and the performances of all the actors involved. It's certainly sad and devastating that it won't be continuing on our television screens anymore, but hopefully Bryan Fuller will find another home for this universe somehow, and the fans will continue to love and support it no matter what.

Have you seen blood in the moonlight, Will? It appears quite black. )

I don't know what is up with NBC, but they're no longer showing previews for the next episode, and it seems that they are shortening the Post-Mortem interviews with the cast and crew, never mind with the whole shifting the show to Saturdays (despite that it's still on Thursdays in Canada). The show may be cancelled, but that doesn't mean they should be stingy with at least trying to continue promoting what is left.

Hannibal panel at SDCC.

I think my favorite thing about this panel, aside from them once again wearing flower crowns (and Richard Armitage being utterly adorable), is how Bryan Fuller is very grateful and appreciative of the fanbase that surrounds the show. He talks very excitedly and passionately about the work and the support that is given from the fandom, even gives much gratitude towards NBC for allowing him to tell the story for three full seasons. Clearly there was a lot of love going on during this panel and throughout the entire event at SDCC, and in a bittersweet way. It goes to show that despite the cancellation it doesn't mean the love and support hasn't dissipated and how everyone is wanting there to be a continuation of some sort.

Which brings me to the notion that Bryan has talked about through various interviews during SDCC about there possibly be a movie for Hannibal as an option if another season cannot be worked out.

Hearing the behind the scenes complications when it comes to reviving a show after it's been cut off from the network that it was primarily on is quite interesting and fascinating to learn about, because it's not as simple as some would expect it to be. And the having a feature film from the show isn't beyond the realm of possibility, with the success of what Veronica Mars and Firefly achieved, and while those were very special cases that were nothing short of miracles, there is still hope that the same could happen with Hannibal as well, considering its loyal and dedicated fanbase and the critical praise to back it up. Plus, I would love to see what Bryan Fuller would want to adapt from the novels that hasn't been adapted yet. And since one of the best things of the show is the visual storytelling, how the brilliant cinematography would transfer from television to a feature film.

As for the show at the moment, this Saturday is the beginning of the Red Dragon storyline (so excited, omg), and in addition to that there is a special assignment for fans to participate in, which not only helps the process of getting the show recognized to be saved but also having the chance of winning a limited official artwork of the Red Dragon signed by Richard Armitage. If you want to participate, sign up and read the instructions and prepare yourself for this upcoming Saturday.

The best moments and highlights to come out of SDCC 2K15, IMHO:
❤ The official Con Man trailer, the meta spoof of Firefly starring Alan Tudyk, Nathan Fillion and many other familiar faces (including Wil Wheaton, Felicia Day, Joss Whedon, Tricia Helfer, Sean Maher, Gina Torres, etc.)

❤ The Dubsmash battle between Hayley Atwell/Agent Carter and the Agents of Shield cast, which has given me so much life.

❤ Richard Armitage. Richard Armitage wearing Bryan Fuller's Star Wars jacket. Richard Armitage with the SDCC exclusive Byran Fuller Funko Pop Figure. Richard Armitage with a red dragon plushie. Richard Armitage, once again, wearing a flower crown. Richard Armitage putting the red dragon plushie on top of his head with the flower crown. Richard Armitage just being adorable and ridiculously attractive (to a lethal degree). RICHARD. ARMITAGE. (◕ω◕✿)

❤ MILD SPOILERS: First look at Richard Armitage as Francis Dolarhyde in the second half of Hannibal S3. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧

❤ Grace Helbig and Hannah Hart were there promoting Electra Woman and Dyna Girl. Markiplier was also there.

❤ Sophie Turner and Natalie Dormer being adorable together.
