True, it's an average pilot, and as a rule the first episode of anything isn't always going to reflect how the rest of the show is going to follow suit. Since most times pilots are shot prior to being greenlit, some pick up immediately, while others take some time before finding their footing. Even though TPTB is very unforgiving since all they care about is ratings or it's to the chopping block, an average pilot may not always be good enough for networks.

Regardless, it did spark some curiosity, mostly due to Allison and for what they have in store and whether I should continue watching if it still engages my interest.

(I'm usually very flexible when it comes to these things, if I end up liking it I'll continue watching even if nobody else is, story of my life re: shows)
