++ Here is another friending meme in preparation for summer.

++ First look at the third season of Hannibal, which all I have to say is Richard Armitage is going to be absolutely phenomenal as Francis Dolarhyde, I can already tell. I'm so happy that we got to see him in this preview, even just a glimpse, to getting a small taste on what to expect. From the tattoo to seeing just a tiny hint of what his mannerisms are going to be like, I'm super excited to see his performance as the Red Dragon. With everything else, I'm anticipating what they're creating for the third season. From what Bedelia and Hannibal's relationship will be like, to what appears to be a F/F relationship between Margot and Alana Bloom (!!!), and from the other trailers Abigail will be appearing (whether she's still hopefully alive or just a hallucination of Will's mind is still up for debate until the season begins, but still)! And I'm curious as to what will happen between Will and Hannibal, how their fucked up relationship is going to proceed. In short, I'm highly anticipating this season. We've waited quite patiently since the decision to move the air dates to the summer, so I'm hoping that it does well.

++ In going with that, I'm pretty much ready for all the summer shows to premiere. Not just with the returning ones like Hannibal, Defiance, Falling Skies (which I'm still like way behind on) and Orange Is The New Black, but the new ones such as Dark Matter, Sense8, Killjoys and Stitchers, and of course some others that I'm sure will cross my radar at some point. I'm also vaguely curious about Scream Queens, despite it being made by Ryan Murphy. Anyway, I'm stoked for this new program lineup, because lord knows I need more fandoms to get attached to. I mean, I still want to get into some other shows that people have been talking about for a while, like The 100. I've pretty much already fallen in love with certain characters (Raven, Clarke, Anya, Lexa) and I have yet to see a single episode, heh.

There is one line in the first episode of The 100 that almost made me stop watching (because cringe), but aside from that, IT'S AMAZING.

I'm sorta excited about Scream Queens, hahah.

Yeah, I think I know what line you're talking about. I've seen quite a lot of fans say that the pilot episode is kinda bad in comparison to the rest of the show, so I'll be keeping that in mind when I finally get around to watching it.

I've seen the previews for it and it looks absolutely ridiculous, but in a fun way. So, at least I'm hoping to be entertained? lol

I don't even have to hear the dialogue being spoken to know how cringe-worthy it is. Yeesh. :S At least the rest of the show makes up for it, for the most part.

Also, as a sidenote, one of the things that I'm really happy for the show, despite never watched a single episode of, is that sexuality is a non-issue. The fact that they committed to Clarke being bisexual with absolutely no hassle at all makes me very happy, since it rarely ever happens on American television (never mind a show on the CW) where sexuality isn't discussed or debated. It just is. More shows and media in general should follow in those footsteps.

The bisexual thing makes me so happy as well. And it's done really nicely. I highly recommend the show. If you can overlook that cheesy line and the fact that all of them are ten years old than the characters they portray, it's brilliant. There are amazing female characters, and so many of them! There's a few sexist dickheads, but they'll quickly put in their place, and Clarke's the clear leader.

Is Hannibal one of those shows that plays tag with cancellations? Because I could have sworn it was cancelled. I also have a sense of deja vu with asking.

I do believe you have asked this question before.

But all the same, Hannibal is one of those shows that people constantly worry might be cancelled due to ratings, despite all the positive reviews from critics. Bryan Fuller is also one of those creators who has made some amazing shows that have unfortunately been short lived, so people keep rooting for Hannibal to do well and get renewed. It's also why people are hoping that the move from fall to summer will be good for it overall.

I actually really remember asking now. I have no idea what is wrong with my memory these days!

I hope for the fan's sake that the move to summer does it good.

Oh man I can already tell that Richard is going to be great as well <3

It's such a perfect role for him, imho, because such a character like Francis Dolarhyde will allow him to go further in examining the character is the way he is, and it's something that Richard loves doing with pretty much all the characters he has played. So it's going to be really fun watching him sink his teeth into this role. :)

I'm so looking forward to Hannibal, especially as regards Bedelia. I've been so curious about her from the beginning.

Agreed. I'm intrigued with what they're going to explore with her character in this season.

The 100 was pretty cool. I liked it enough but I'm not super invested in it but if you liked BSG that might be a show you totally should catch up on.

Yeah, I've heard the comparisons made to BSG, which is a huge compliment especially for a CW show. Also, apparently there are some BSG alums that appear on the show, as well.

I'm really excited for season 3 of Hannibal as well, especially with all the talk of it being more character-centric this year

And The 100 was added to amazon prime recently, so I've been thinking of checking that one out as well when I have a bit more free time

I can't wait. I have high hopes that we'll be examining and exploring more of the characters. I'm also pretty excited about their take on the Red Dragon storyline.

I really should binge watch The 100 when I get the chance to.

I'm also quite curious about Scream Queens, I have to say. I definitely plan to check that out. And like you I also feel the "despite it being made by Ryan Murphy", but then again- I do tend to like most of his shows. And I'm definitely excited about some of the other new shows that you mentioned- hope they start up soon!

I feel like the only show of his that I genuinely really loved was Popular. I didn't watch Glee, and the first season of AHS was probably the best (the third one had potential, but it didn't go where I initially thought it was heading towards and it became kind of strange towards the end). Scream Queens seems like it's intentionally going to be campy, ridiculous fun, so I'll remain cautiously open-minded to it going in.

(And apparently there is a show based around the Scream movies, however it just looks really bad. I would have preferred a fifth movie over that, tbqh.)

That preview for Hannibal has me super pumped. We think we know what we're getting with the Red Dragon story, but I'm sure they'll find a way to surprise us.

I'm really looking forward to seeing how they present the Red Dragon story, because the show loves to present a different look at the same story we all know. I'm stoked to see what Richard's performance is going to be like.

Stitchers doesn't really appeal to me (except it has Claudia from W13, so it's not a definitive no), but I'm all into watching Sense8, as well as Dark Matter and Killjoys.

I'm honestly just checking Stitchers out for Allison Scagliotti, myself. If it's good then I'll be further engaged, but otherwise I'm just there for my girl. ;)

I was vaguely curious about Sream Queens but tbh knowing it was made by Ryan Murphy has made me less so, which is good because I already have too much TV to watch as it is.

Yeah, the concept seems interesting but since it's by Ryan Murphy I have little expectations about how good it might actually be. I may just check it out to see what it seems like for the first few episodes, but in any case I feel like it's going to be just like AHS.

So stoked for the new season of Hannibal, I hope the move to summer helps with ratings (since the expectations aren't near as high during that time).

whenever you get time, you should def check out the 100 - such a great show.

I've seen some people worry about this shift because Hannibal isn't technically a summer-esque show due to its content and how it's more suitable during the fall, but regardless I think this move will be good for it. At least I'm hoping so, anyway. It shouldn't have too much pressure with other shows.

Don't worry, it's on my list for binge watching as soon as I get a chance to. ;)

I haven't watched much of the previews myself, I only watched the first look one because it had Richard in it and I wanted to see what he was saying plus the first glimpse of his character.

I'm just counting down the days....

I honestly cannot wait for what Richard is going to bring to the role. I mean I know he'll be phenomenal with his performance, but all the interviews that I've read make me super excited regardless because there's been nothing but endless praise for what Richard does with Dolarhyde. :D

I'm still on the fence with Hannibal, because last season was such a train wreck. I'll probably get around to watching it, but we'll see. Summer does have a death of shows, so we'll see what actually pans out.

Scream Queens looked vaguely interesting, till I saw who was making it and then my interest plummeted.

As the season just started, I'm so far intrigued. I loved the premiere at how quiet yet unsettling it was, setting up for what I believe to be a very intriguing season. With all the interviews I've been reading it's going to be quite interesting with what they're planning.

And yeah, the concept of Scream Queens by itself looked interesting and had potential, but seeing how was attached to it I was like....oh. I'm predicting it'll be like AHS, starts off promising but it just ends up being rather, blah.
