We share so many BSG opinions. I loved Athena and Boomer equally. And actually, there are times when I think I may've loved Boomer more. Boomer's fate will never not piss me off. There were so many other ways they could've gone with her but they just decided to kill her for the shock value of it. Particularly because they had Athena pull the trigger. I would've much preferred a version where Athena unexpectedly forgave Boomer and she got to go back with everyone else. I don't think Boomer and Athena would've ever been friends, but I do think Boomer could've rebuilt her relationship with Caprica.


I liked the friendship between Kara and Lee, but they just didn't work as a romantic pairing. As you said, they really brought out the worst in each other and I don't think they could've made a romantic relationship work even if they weren't married to other people. I loved Kara/Sam and I kind of liked Lee with Dee even though I think Dee would've been better off leaving him and not looking back.

I agree! I was saddened that the whole Boomer and Caprica friendship ended. If Boomer had survived I would have really wanted her and Caprica to reconnect with each other again. And yeah, while forgiveness would have been given I also doubt Athena and Boomer would have been friends. There's just too much awkward tension and probably a little resentment regarding stolen identity. Perhaps just been civil with each other for the sake of leaving the animosity behind, but no more than that.

Same. Especially with Dee leaving Lee, because I felt she could have done much better. Hell, Dee in general deserved much better than what her character got.

Much as I adore BSG, so many of the female characters got screwed over in the end. Boomer, Tory, Cally, Dee, D'anna...even Athena, Caprica and Roslin to a certain extent, as I feel the show really dropped the ball with their storylines. IMO, only Ellen and Kara made out well in the end. And I know lots of people disagree with me about Kara's ending :)

To be fair, I do think Lee loved Dee, I just think he was a shitty husband. Part of that had to do with his unresolved feelings for Kara and part was just that he wasn't ready to be a husband. Which doesn't excuse him treating Dee like crap but there was never a lack of love there.
