It's around that time of the year where shows are about to return for the fall television season, along with some news ones will be premiering as well. I have plenty of shows and fandoms that will be coming back, but there are quite a few new ones that I am seriously considering watching, or at least be testing the waters of.

++ American Horror Story: Coven. I'll admit that I didn't watch the second season as it didn't hold my interest as the first season did, which I loved. However I may watch Coven since the focus of the Salem witch trials and the witchcraft vs. voodoo seems rather fascinating. Season premieres October 9th on FX.

++ Sleepy Hollow. I had heard about this, and I wasn't quite sure what it was about until recently, and the trailer looks really good. Will definitely see if the show itself holds up to expectations. Series premiere September 16th on FOX.

++ Once Upon A Time In Wonderland. Spin-off of Once Upon A Time, and while I have ceased watching that show (for the time being, until it catches my interest again), I will say that this does intrigue me a bit. It's like a Return to Oz version of Wonderland, with some added romance. Assuming that they'll be keeping with a minimal of characters, perhaps this may actually go over better than its predecessor. It premieres October 10th on ABC.

++ Official teaser trailer for Ravenswood, the Pretty Little Liars spin-off. It's just a stylized trailer with no actual footage, but it looks interesting and we get a glimpse at the new characters that will be introduced, along with a familiar face that will be crossing over from Pretty Little Liars. We've already seen bits of Ravenswood on the show and the entire atmosphere holds something rather ominous and foreboding, so I can't wait to see how it all unfolds. The series premieres October 22nd on ABC Family, directly following the Halloween special.

I liked the first season of AHS but it made me so scared that I never finished it. :( I hope to finish it one day and to watch the second and third seasons.

I plan to give the Wonderland show a try but I can't imagine that it'll be very good. I'll give Sleepy Hollow a try, to.

I hadn't heard about Ravenswood! I dropped PLL but plan to pick it back up sometime.

That's one of the reasons why I enjoyed the first season a whole lot, there was some great creepy moments (the opening title sequence is what got me when I first started watching it) and episodes that legit freaked me out. I think you should totally finish it, because the ending of the whole S1 arc is rather bittersweet.

I figure Wonderland is going to be the same kind of quality that OUAT is: cheesy, but if it has the right kind of formula it can be enjoyable.

I still haven't finished Season 2 of AHS. Everyone said that Jessica Lange was crazy good at the end, but the season was such a mess, I could not make myself watch. Season 1 was just SO GOOD!!! I'm hoping it was just sophomore slump and Season 3 will bring the awesome back. And I think it will because I think witches are for more interesting than crazy people.

I added Sleepy Hollow to my Hulu queue the other day after reading the plot. I'm sure much of the humor will come from Ichabod not understanding modern society... and I'm fine with that. Also added Dracula because of John Rhys Meyers. If anything, I'll just watch it with the sound off LOL.

I really liked last season of OUaT and I'm very curious to see how Wonderland turns out. I'm usually not a fan of spin-offs but I'm hoping that the same people who started up OUaT will at least get this one going.

Yeah, I heard that it wasn't as great in comparison to the first season, at least with the quality of the storytelling. I know the show loves to push the envelope on many things, but some felt there was too much shock value and not enough depth to what was being told. The ending, however, many people liked, so I guess there's that.

Here's to hoping the third season will be better and actually deliver on what they're selling, because so far I am intrigued.

lol, me too, it's one of the things that I find endearing when you have a character who isn't necessarily from our time, or who isn't human and doesn't understand things like pop culture and modern society. ;)

I haven't tried American Horror Story season 2... but wow does the one for this year sound good.

Pretty much I want to watch all of the shows you've posted about. I may need to give up sleeping...

People I know who don't watch much television are a little frightened of how much I do watch.

My deal with myself is that if I can read 100 books a year (I am a speedy reader) then I can watch whatever television I want. Seems like a good deal to me :)
