Date: 2012-03-28 11:14 pm (UTC)01. I really love her character, but sometimes I got a bit annoyed with the way she was written. This is one of the faults of the book itself, first-person is definitely a hit-or-miss. It doesn't diminish my love for her character, though.
02. I would have liked the story much better if wasn't the need for a romance/triangle in the books themselves. I know this is a YA series and having something of a romance was probably needed to attract an audience, but I felt that having the back-and-forth thing with Peeta and Gale was unnecessary. I would have preferred her to be friends with both of them and them just working together as a team instead of the mind games going on. For them to fool the Capitol, I can understand, but the rest of it? Could have done without.
I'm also not a fan of Peeta so seeing people wet themselves over him and Katniss just makes me roll my eyes03. Needless to say, I love the fact that Katniss did what she did for her little sister. For her family. Her bravery, her entire reason of entering the games wasn't for a boy but for her family. I like that aspect.
