Castiel is such a puppy.

(Or alternatively, the angelical equivalent of a direwolf, but still a puppy all the same)

He gives unconditional love and just wants to please those he cares about. Everything he's done, he's done for Dean, because of Dean. While with current circumstances has forced him to make certain questionable and regrettable decisions, he is still fiercely loyal and protective of his humans, as it's ever-so present throughout 6.20. And when they are mean to him, he gives them that sad look on his face like a puppy does when you're scolding them. Even when they shut him out he comes back, wanting so desperately for his human to understand him.

WHY WON'T SOMEONE GIVE HIM A HUG ALREADY? JFC. :(

BTW, everyone needs to check out alexwhitman25's Dean/Castiel 6.20 picspam since it really demonstrates so vividly how this episode was truly such a heartbreaking love story between those two. Creys, you'll have them. Hell, even if you don't watch Supernatural you should see this picspam, just to see why I love how beautifully angsty these two are. ♥

Seriously bb, what other relevant episodes were there this season? I can't recall because 6.20 owned everything this season, hands down, no contest. That is the sheer brilliance of Edlund, let me tell you. He knows how to brighten a really shitty season with his genius at writing and directing episodes, yo. And when he said this was gonna depress us, he really truly meant it. I have never been so heartbroken over an episode before, and I've watched some pretty fucking depressing shit. ;___;

I'm skipping the first hour of the finale too. Because really, how is Lisa and Ben relevant to anything anymore? Yawn, boring. GIMME THE HEAVEN STORYLINE OVER THAT ANYDAY, KTHX.

As for relevant episodes...um...The French Mistake? SNORFLE. Nawww just kidding...now that I think about it-it was pretty damn funny but looking back on S6 in its entirety, I'm like..."What the hell happened?!"
Actually I may just watch the first hour now because part of me is rooting for Lisa and Ben to DIAF but then the other half is all NOOOO...that will just force us to endure more of Dean's manpain. OY. So maybe not DIAF but just leaving forever?
Currently gobbling up spoilers left and right but nothing too specific which I need to KNOW.

lol, yeah, most of this season has been a huge waste except for the few episodes that actually deal with shit and was handled without fucking shit up.

I'll just be waiting to see the reports of whether YAY LISA AND BEN ARE NO MORE or NOOOO WHY ARE YOU FUCKING SHIT UP AGAIN GAMBLE, GRRR ARRGH SMASH. Because Gamble wrote the first hour and I'm just not in the mood to be pissed off at her inability to do anything with the show anymore. :/

According to someone who asked Misha at a convention, Castiel won't be getting a hug this season and that makes me super depressed. Like seriously? If the Winchesters consider him family shouldn't they be showing him the same kind of affection they show each other? They've hugged each other and Bobby, but not Castiel.

Nope, but I'm of the opinion that Ben took one look at what they had planned for this season (ie Dean being a real jerk to Cas for no reason) and decided to write what he wanted and the fans wanted (ie Cas is like family to Dean).

And that's why I love him. Of course having time to reflect despite the inconsistencies most of the season had between stories and the relationships between those characters and their characterizations, taking only the episodes that are relevant to this season ("The Third Man", "Weekend At Bobby's", "My Heart Will Go On", "Mommy Dearest" and "The Man Who Would Be King") it really does make sense with what he was shooting for here. So I consider just watching those episodes and forgetting everything else that happened this season.

It's ridiculous how upset I am by the uncertainty surrounding Cas. I am so scared they are going to ruin his character. I can only take so much angst. I'm a happy ending kind of gal, especially since real life provides me with enough anxiety and sadness.

I'm the same way. I enjoy a good angstfest with character development, especially when it makes sense in such an arc, however because of my little confidence in the show's writing lately I really really really don't want them to fuck everything up with his character.
