Over the last several days I have discovered quite a few interesting things.

Learning that Natalie Dormer (Anne Boleyn from The Tudors) and Tabrett Bethell (Cara from Legend of the Seeker) have been cast in ABC's Poe, which is basically a detective story about Edgar Allen Poe taking place in 1800s Boston. That Kristen Kreuk will be part of Ron Moore's 17th Precinct, which means that basically, as the description reads, Lana Lang will be married to Lee Adama in this magical crime drama show that also features Number Six and Gaius Baltar, if that's not made of win I don't know what is. Also, that Wilmer Valderrama has been cast opposite of Jason Isaacs in NBC's REM pilot. Also cast is BD Wong from Law & Order: SVU.

CONCLUSION: THIS UPCOMING PILOT SEASON IS GONNA BE FUCKING GOOOOODD. AND VERY SEXY.

I honestly hope that all these shows get picked up for series. Poe sounds interesting, though an ABC show that is set in the 1800s? I don't know how it'll do underneath ABC in ratings given its general demographic. 17th Precinct and REM are similar in genres, so hopefully NBC will give them both time to develop and grow because it seems like they are trying for something new after the failure of The Cape. We shall see.

And okay yeah, I kinda just wanna see the BSG cast and Jason Isaacs occupying the same network together. I admit it, I'm shameless. But can you really blame me? ;p

I'll be watching both Poe & 17th Precinct for the cast(s) alone, should they go to series. But I hope both will do away with the episodic procedural formula, as I rarely like those kinds of shows.

The cast alone for these shows are definitely an added plus to make me watch. I'm curious as the the plots, and I know that was Ron Moore he can create something complex even if it sounds like a regular procedural kind of show (he did take the BSG aspect and did something epic with it). REM sounds vaguely fascinating due to the Inception-style description and duh, it has Jason Isaacs. Win. Poe I think will be a more difficult sell, but I'm hoping they'll do something interesting with it because TABRETT BETHELL and NATALIE DORMER! :D

I'm interesting in how Poe is going to be dealt with, because ABC doesn't normally have shows set in that era and it would be a very hard sell for their regular demographic. But I'm waiting to see where it leads.

There are so many amazing shows coming out that I am excited about! Poe, Game of Thrones, Camelot , The Borgias the list goes on and on. I really want Poe to be picked up, because PERIOD PIECE and THE CAST and OMG.

I am seriously hoping they pull it off, because it sounds so amazing! Plus I have such a hole in my TV watching since The Pillars of the Earth ended. IDEK WHAT TO DO WITH MYSELF. Since for some reason all I'm watching lately is period pieces...and Pretty Woman, over and over again (and it's not even that good a movie!).

AND THE TINY LITTLE SMILE HE HAS LIKE NOTHING IS GOING ON AT ALL. I THINK EZRA HAS A SEEEKRIT LIFE!

And I totally just watched The Borgias trailer, it looks so good and gorgeous! It makes me miss The Tudors though, because it's made by the same production people it has that similar style. Oh Henry, I miss your craycray ways. BUT WE WILL SEE ANNE IN POE! THAT'S SOMETHING, YES? :D ANNE BOLEYN AND CARA FROM LOTS! \O/

17th Precinct has the best cast to attract the right kind of Geeks EVER.
I'm not a Kruek fan persay (although she is pretty) or anything, but the rest of that cast!!!!

I feel like Kreuk gets a bad rep all because of Smallville, which is slightly unfair since I've seen her in other things and she's a very good actress. So seeing her amongst this cast is definitely a plus for me (since she really needs to get out from being associated with the badness that was SV.)

The only other thing I remember her from clearly is Chuck and she was super annoying on that show.
And it's not because she messed with Chuck/Sarah, really, because I still managed to ADORE Rachel Bilson's character while being like "what are you doing?" but idk.

I'm totally don't have anything against her, I just have no reason to be excited, you know? Where as everyone else I'm like OMFG YAY!

Hmmm, from what I gathered some people were surprised by her on that show, saying that she did better than on Smallville (anything is better than SV, lol). But I don't know, I have a soft spot for Kristen Kreuk in general because I find her adorable and I think she gets too much criticism. That's just how I feel, anyway.

BUT THIS CAST. EVERYONE INVOLVED SO FAR = HEARTS IN MY EYES. I HOPE IT GOES TO SERIES. :D :D :D
