The cast and crew of Supernatural were just at PaleyFest and there are a few specific things that were revealed that I want to talk and/or squee about, however first is a biggie that I think EVERYONE will enjoy hearing for an upcoming episode....


BEN EDLUND'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT IS CASTIEL-CENTRIC!!!!!!!!

IT IS ALL ABOUT CASTIEL YOU GUYS, WE EVEN GET BITS AND PIECES FROM HIS PAST! IT'S TOLD ALL FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW AND JUST OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WANTING AND WISHING AND PRAYING FOR, IS IT NOT? I MEAN WE HAVEN'T HAD A CASTIEL-CENTRIC EPISODE SINCE SEASON FOUR, AND WE'RE FINALLY GETTING ONE! WITH BEN EDLUND WRITING AND DIRECTING IT!

OH LORD, THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU! \O/\O/\O/\O/

Oh hmm, yes, that was a real turn point for him, wasn't it? I wonder if we'll able to see what it means to Cas for being the one to rescue Dean from Hell. I don't just want to see this because I'm a slash fan, but because the idea of 'lay siege to hell' is so fuckin' epic to me. It's been a while since I percieved Cas as an angel, as a being whom you would want to fall on your knees at the sight.

But you're right, it's most likely going to focus on the War, and Balthazar.

Oh man, I wish we had something retelling how Castiel saved Dean from Hell. There's been plenty of fanfic with different scenarios on how it could have gone down, and with the information that all the angels lay siege to Hell for Dean and that Castiel was the one who got to rescue and touch his soul, it makes for fascinating concepts on how profound their bond really is. Because I feel like for an angel to touch your soul that is very significant (and also wasn't there something like that in the beginning of this season? about when an angel deals with the human soul? yeah)

Unfortunately, I doubt we'll get further into that because this show hardly goes into those territories unless it has to. But it's fun to speculate, theorize and think about. Wishful fannish thinking and all. *sighs*
