The cast and crew of Supernatural were just at PaleyFest and there are a few specific things that were revealed that I want to talk and/or squee about, however first is a biggie that I think EVERYONE will enjoy hearing for an upcoming episode....


BEN EDLUND'S DIRECTORIAL DEBUT IS CASTIEL-CENTRIC!!!!!!!!

IT IS ALL ABOUT CASTIEL YOU GUYS, WE EVEN GET BITS AND PIECES FROM HIS PAST! IT'S TOLD ALL FROM HIS POINT OF VIEW AND JUST OMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMGOMG!!!!! THIS IS EXACTLY WHAT WE HAVE BEEN WANTING AND WISHING AND PRAYING FOR, IS IT NOT? I MEAN WE HAVEN'T HAD A CASTIEL-CENTRIC EPISODE SINCE SEASON FOUR, AND WE'RE FINALLY GETTING ONE! WITH BEN EDLUND WRITING AND DIRECTING IT!

I HAVE MUCH FAITH IN EDLUND. HE HAS DELIVERED BEFORE, AND HE WILL AGAIN WITH THIS.

XD THOUGH YES, I HOPE WE SEE MORE OF CASTIEL'S RELATIONSHIP WITH DEAN AND OF COURSE WITH BALTHAZAR, BECAUSE ITA THAT HAS SEVERELY BEEN OVERLOOKED THIS SEASON. PLUS DEAN HAS BEEN A MAJOR ASSHOLE TO CAS SO, HOPEFULLY THAT WILL BE MENDED, Y/Y? *prays*

Oh, puppet!Angel. <333 And yes, some relationship mending on the D/C front would be nice -- and they've both been assholes to each other, truly, which is why I think Castiel backstory with actual D/C screentime where they deal with their respective issues would be excellent. I'm meh on Balthazar to be honest, so that friendship is not really as important to me if that's the one they're talking about -- I would much more like to see the D/C stuff actually dealt with. Although I do think it would be nice if they solidified Balthazar's alliance to Cas.

Dark...I've heard that too, especially in re: to Cas. It will be interesting and shocking, I'm sure, and I have my theories on it too.

I would love there to be more Dean and Castiel moments that aren't with the accusations and glaring being through at each other, which still makes no sense to me why that is even happening in the first place. D: Then again, most of this season has me all confused and lost with what they're doing. But yes, Dean/Castiel reconciliation would be lovely, for them to realize their friendship is very valuable and they can help each other.

I adore Balthazar so much, so I'm very biased with seeing both his and Castiel's bromance blossom more as the season goes on. And hopefully they don't kill him (D:) because seriously, as much as I adore Dean/Cas I also want Castiel to have more Heavenly friends. Lord knows he doesn't have much of them these days, with the war and all. I love their bond and yes, it would definitely solidify his alliance with Castiel.

I'm concerned on why people are automatically jumping on the "Castiel is going to turn evil" speculation. I mean, if he truly had turned he wouldn't be so morally conflicted with everything he's had to do during this war (a war we haven't even fully grasped the magnitude of, but can only imagine what he's going through). Cas might be making reckless decisions which make come to bite him on the ass during the finale, but it's understandable with everything that's been going on. So him dealing with the ramifications of those choices and decisions is something I'm speculating will happen in the finale, but definitely not the "he will betray the Winchesters" route everyone seems to think will happen.
