THIS BADASS MOTHERFUCKER RIGHT HERE.

THANK YOU BEN EDLUND FOR THE WINGS! *__*

Secondly, even though our Castiel appeared at the very end there are some things I noticed. There's the Castiel and Balthazar partnership while this civil war is still going down, and the fact that they are working together makes me all gleeful because I want to see more of their interactions since their chemistry is much to be seen, even if it is reluctant on some of the things Castiel has to do during this war, whereas Balthazar couldn't care less as long as the weapons aren't taken by Raphael and he stays alive. Hope we soon see where this leads him. Also yes, the shippiness of them is also noted, the way Balthazar looked so proud when Castiel appeared with his bamf!self. WANT MORE OF CAS/BALTHY PLZ. OH, AND DID ANYONE CATCH THAT BALTHAZAR CALLED CASTIEL "CASSIE"? I MEAN SRSLY. THEIR FRIENDSHIP, WE NEEDS MORE OF IT STAT.

And of course, one cannot forget the ~profound bond~ of Dean/Castiel because it was so there in that last scene. In fact, someone pointed out that Castiel only looked at Dean when he finally appeared, other than his brief interaction with Balthazar and Raphael. Never mind the fact that Dean's reaction to Castiel's wings yet again. Now tell me that isn't pure profound bonding right there. I still think that Dean shouldn't be acting that hostile towards Castiel, and that Castiel shouldn't be apologizing all the time, though considering the danger that occurred I can understand the level of wanting to know what is going on. But you could clearly see on Castiel's face that he's been torn between wanting to tell them and wanting to protect them, and upon realizing that Raphael was going to take this on a personal level something needed to be done. I have no doubt that Castiel will tell them everything they need to know. I just wish there was more empathy on their side, you know?

I mean come on, look at his face. :(

But overall, all of that was told just from the brief moment we had of Castiel appearing at the end, and it was brilliant and glorious after such a lolarious episode altogether. I just hope that in the next episode he'll appear in there will be a conversation about what has been happening in Heaven and how it all relates to what is happening. Perhaps with a little more show then tell, though. Plus some Dean/Cas make-up time because, really, I miss them being able to be cool with each other on their profound bond level.....

In all seriousness, this is the first in a long, long while that I've been genuinely excited after an episode has aired for this show. With the feeling of overwhelming dread and outrage at many things this season, this episode legitimately placed excitement and giddiness back into my fangirl heart and feeling this kind of squeefulness is exactly what I have missed about this fandom. Granted, this was written by Ben Edlund therefore I shouldn't be surprised I fell in love instantly, and there are no other writers that do anything justice anymore, but it makes my heart jump with joy that this episode was worth everything I had hoped for and then some. I am still jittery with adrenaline because of it.

PRAISE BEN EDLUND. HE IS OUR ONLY HOPE IN MAKING IT THROUGH THIS SEASON, JSYK. ♥

I don't know, man. I know the next ep is with Rufus and Sampa. Then there is the cowboy ep. I think we are gonna be down to the last couple of eps before they make a real effort in recognizing the war in heaven.

OMG SEBASTIAN. I was so excited when he got the part of Balthazar. Anytime he shows up on one of my shows I am filled with glee.

It's really a downer realizing that they keep pushing all of this back. While I'm happy to see Rufus and intrigued with the Western episode, I feel like they're not focusing on what should be focused on this season by sticking to something solid. It's all over the place and there's nothing holding our interests except for a random few episodes scattered here and there.

More Heaven and angels, less with the boring stuff plz, kthx.

SEBASTIAN IS SUCH A DELIGHT. :D :D :D Balthazar is just amazing and I'm glad he's filling in those shoes because I can't see anyone else doing it. Though seriously, if I hear another person comparing him to Gabriel one more time I am gonna be cutting some bitches....

It's just like them introducing a new Big Bad at this juncture and then going episodes without expanding that storyline. This season is a giant mess of storylines that just don't match up and play into each other well. It isn't quite as up and down as last season just because the season as a whole is MEH.

People who automatically hated Balthazar because they assumed he was a Gabriel replacement really, really piss me off.

Yeah, the disorganization and mess of handling the storylines is what bugs me the most. It's like, get your shit together.

There's still some people who think that even after this meta episode, because of the "but he placed them in an alternate tv reality, that's just what Gabriel did! Don't tell me he's not a replacement because he like totally is!" Which really confuses and pisses me off to no end. THEY. ARE. NOT. THE SAME. GET IT THROUGH YOUR HEADS PEOPLE. >:|

I understand the bitterness after Gabriel, believe me I am too. But dammit, learn to distinguish between character traits, okay?
