SAVE THE TRENCHCOAT, SAVE THE WORLD!

I understand that this is just a promotional picture and they're still keeping his look in the show the same anyway, but at the same time I feel like I'm betraying his regular trenchcoat. I'm in the middle of going "how dare they with this fuckery?" because the trenchcoat goddammit!, but also I'm in the leagues with everyone else that Misha looks damn good in black. I mean, think about what he wore at Chicon '09 and apply that to Castiel-esque attire, just minus the waistcoat.

THEY ARE CONFUSING ME WITH THIS, DAMMIT. HOW SHOULD I BE REACTING? EMBRACE AND ENJOY THE PRETTY? WACKY PARALLEL UNIVERSE SPIN-OFFS WITH CASTIEL HAVING AN EVIL!TWIN? BE ALL LULZ OVER IT? FEEL BETRAYED? I CAN'T EVEN, BRAIN IS BROKE NOW.

I think had we not been told the story regarding the stolen wardrobe and how the wardrobe people didn't know what Castiel was supposed to have looked like, I would have appreciated the pretty for what it is rather than being conflicted on it.

Plus, I'm crazily attached to that damned trenchcoat of his. Without it he's simply not Castiel. On the other hand, I can accept this just being a photoshoot with the cast members because they have done photoshoots before where Jared and Jensen are wearing clothes that Sam and Dean would never wear on the show, but are still for promotional purposes anyway. But I think it's more of the "this is a SPN promo" without the iconic trenchcoat and outfit? What is this?

Misha looks fantastic though, as always. And him being featured in a promo finally? Definitely an upside.
